The staff are not friendly and not helpful at all. The rooms are dusty but they are good value and its a good location, just don't expect too much! If you are out and about all day and just want a bed for the night this place does the job!

We spent a few nights here back in august and we were very satisfied. The neighbourhood around the inn is very lively. During the day the main road near the inn is full of people wanting to visit the nearby lama temple. In the night 'ghost street' , located just around the corner, really comes to live with an amzing variety of restaurants and lots of locals. When we wanted to visit the great wall on our last day, the staff was extremely helpful with arranging a taxi to take us there and with che... Read more

Make sure you print out a map before heading out: the hotel was difficult to find and google maps (and related google apps and programs) generally does not work in China. No one in the neigbourhood has heard of it (and confusingly the visiting card at the desk, as well as the wifi connection, say it is called Candy Inn) and few people speak English. However, once you have found it, it is conveniently located next to major metro station and in the middle of fun neighbourhood. Room was large and g... Read more

I spent 3 nights at the Classic Courtyard and was not disappointed. Arriving 4 hours early for my room the daytime staff were very quick to accommodate me and make a room available. The location was perfect, directly sat next to two main tram lines and close to a bustling little area for lots to see. All staff were very welcoming and friendly with them often coming to sit with me when I was on my own. Asking questions and generally wanting to get to know more about me and advising where to se... This is classed as a hotel and I stayed in Hostels that were much cheaper and MUCH better! The room we had had no windows (excpet for the one right next to the shower??) The location is good as it is right next to the Lama Temple and very close to a subway line. But yeah, I'd go somewhere else next time

Simple, clean and very cosy - in one of the hutongs of Beijing - close to metro, close to Lama temple! Different from the hotels, you usually go! Very friendly English speaking and helpful staff. First floor rooms have no windows, however not a big problem. Traditional Chinese style decoration. Warm and cosy even in winter.

We had the very good idea of booking at this hotel. Hotel is located close to train station and at the front desk they have a tourist map with most tourist destination and the directions for which station you need to go to and a subway map on the reverse side. Rooms are nicely decorated with a feel like your staying in a traditional place. Lamps that hang from the ceiling and floating floor give the place a modern and warm feel. From the check in time to check out. Our family very happy with th... Read more

Located in the heart of beijing and is very accessible to/from subway station. The area is packed with restaurant strips that are open til late at night. The hotel room is clean, staff are friendly and can speak english fluently (which are rare in China).

Hotel as described, good location from the subway and then you can go explore Beijing as you please (subways so cheap if you have never been to Beijing before) half hour by train from the airport as well. Rooms were very clean and set in traditional Huton buildings, modified for the hotel but worth looking around the backstreets to see some in their original state and how most of the people in Beijing used to live before the city became modernised. Loads of restaurants down the road serving de... Read more
