Loved everything about our brief stay at Castillo Rojo. It is in a great location with access to bars, restaurants, galleries, San Cristobal and more. The room was adorable. Only complaint we had was that the bathroom in our room really smelled like sewer, but it's to be expected for a historic property.

My husband and I spent two nights at this little boutique hotel in the heart of Barrio Bella Vista. The staff is very accommodating and took care of everything we needed. There was a postcard written in English waiting on our bedside table. All instructions inside the room were also in English. That was such a personal touch as this was our third hotel in Chile, but the first to do this. Iâ??d especially like to thank Arthur in the restaurant for making our stay just a little more enjoyable.

I had to have one night stay alone due to flight connection. What a nice surprise. Located just next to the famous Patio de Bellavista, the hotel is a charming establishment that provides easy access the excellent restaurants and bars, and it is safe to walk around. Hotel staff are very friendly and eager to help when needed. I could feel their pride and sense of attachment to their own hotel. They also provide 24/7 self-service of coffee, tea and fruits, in addition to free glass of wine at hap... Read more

First time traveler to Chile and S.A. from the States. I saw the reviews and pics of the hotel and it absolutely met and exceeded my expectations. The room, while small, was comfortable and very clean. It's located in a very vibrant neighborhood that's conveniently located within walking distance to everything. Nicholas was there at the front desk when I arrived and immediately equipped me with a map and some facts about the city. He was very knowledgeable and recommended several places and tour... This hotel is situated in a very nice and active neighborhood with many bars and restaurants, it also caters to a younger hip crowd, Bellavista. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. We received an upgrade on arrival which was a real surprise. The turn of the century edifice is very charming as well. There are no elevators, however, there are only 3 floors. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. We booked approx 48 hours before we arrived and all the staff were very accommodating. The bottle of wine on arrival was so great and the all the staff were extremely helpful. The inside lounge area was really beautiful and relaxing as well as the outside courtyard. I would definitely stay again but maybe if we were more organised, request a room on a higher floor. The bed was soooo comfy!! The hotel is in a great location too.

We had two 24-hour layovers in Santiago on the way too/from Patagonia. Castillo Rojo hit the spot. It's perfectly located for walking-distance tourism and a great view from San Cristóbal. The rooms are well decorated and classy, giving a great welcome to Chile and the artsy, Bohemian neighborhood it's located in. It's one block from the Pablo Neruda house and overall just right for a romantic getaway with plenty of upscale and street dining options in every direction.

My friends and I stayed there for a night before heading to Patagonia. We were upgraded to a bigger suite and gave us great things to do as we waited for room to be ready as it was occupied. The front desk guy, Nicolas was amazing and really helped us with tourist stuff, places to eat and a car service in am to get to airport for our flight to Punta Arenas with a little bagged breakfast with coffee for our ride. The cafe has great food as well and the rooms are really comfortable and charming. ... Read more
