A wonderful night stay, with a stunning view from the 28th floor - which is equally beautiful night time or day. The hotel is in safe walking distance for an event I was attending, and the on-site hairdresser was so professional and accommodating (and convenient!) . It was also nice to feel the hockey fever in the air, with fans in town for the Saturday night game. The hotel's restaurant has an excellent weekend breakfast buffet with one of the best fresh fruit selections I have seen. Bravo ... Read more

Stay here every time we attend a Montreal Canadiens game, great hotel, within walking distance of Bell Centre! Rooms are very clean and staff is very polite. Restaurant on the main floor is great as well.

First off we are Marriott Reward Members and own a couple of Marriott Timeshares, not that I expect special treatment just putting that out there. We have traveled within the United States and Europe always staying at Marriott. My husband travels on business also and stays there. I have never encountered rudeness, ignorance, and plain outright lies from a staff. Let me start off with the check in we came a day early for a business trip so my husband stated we want the first night on our own... Read more

Porbably the least family friendly hotel in Montreal. No nice dining facilities if you have children. Hotel dining prices in a cafeteria environment. No valet if you have a large vehicle. We had to go find our own parking. Management team offers nothing but excuses and no real help. Rooms are dated. I am giving a 2 star rating because the location is great. If it were anywhere else I would give it a 1 star rating.

Marriott's Chateau Champlain is conveniently and centrally located in Montreal. The old town, McGill University, and Mount Royal are a moderate walk away. The Bonaventure metro stop is literally at the hotel so you do not need to go outside to access it. Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a nice view of the Place du Canada leading up to Mount Royal. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. On site restaurant provided reasonably priced and enjoyable lunches and dinners. Breakfast b... Read more

The hotel is clean, a bit dated, but clean. You can connect to the underground metro through the hotel without going outside which makes it very convenient. Short walk to Old Town where there are great restaurants. The room is very large, but the bathroom is very tiny. Hard to sit on the toilet without the door hitting your knees. Small fridge provided which was a nice touch. Woke up at 7:00am on a Sat. to construction going on outside on the road. They were doing a lot of construction on the ro... Read more

I stayed for just one night and wished I could stay longer. This hotel is very comfortable and clean. I am quite fastidious when it comes to cleanliness in hotels, and this one gets truly rare five stars from me. Often, there is what I call 'The Hair' in a hotel bathroom: a single, usually long, hair that escaped the cleaning staff's attention, somewhere on the floor or on a wall. This time, there was none. The room itself was spotless as it should be, and slightly better. The bed was very comf... Read more

My wife and I loved this hotel! First off, it provides the same, consistent, high standards that you can always expect at a Marriott property - clean, modern, comfortable, nice location, very friendly and helpful staff (very much so!) - all that you would want. But, what is so unique about this hotel on top of all that are these arched room windows that start at one corner of the room, arch up in a high semi-circle, and then curve back down at the other end of the room. The result is one that pr... Read more

We stayed for three nights recently. We had a late flight and check in was after midnight. The staff greeted us with a smile and had our reservation ready. Even offered us some bottles of water for the room. Room was large and offered a pleasing view. Starbucks in the lobby provided a good breakfast spot. It was centrally located for everything we needed to do. We were attending a concert at the Bell Center and the Hotel was a block and a half away. Bed was comfy and pillws were great. ... Read more

We visited for two nights and after staying at the Palace Royale in Quebec city for two nights, this was a bit of a let down. Montreal looks like a tiny piece of Manhattan with Brooklyn and Queens on either side. We did eat at Schwartz deli and Snowden deli ( each have something worth trying) and loved Old town!
