A little dated in some areas.beds were awesome. Parking was good.its a 4-5 Block walk to downtown area. We did go for breakfast/buffet in morning (1) was cold.candles went out without any staff noticing ū???. So it was a little pricey for cold breakfast. There was NO other customers in there.staff is friendly.

A little on the old side, but good and clean and fresh and comfortable, at very affordable prices. A superb base from which to do your Rockies explorations!! This hotel deserves a visit (and stay-over). Food also excellent! Beautiful views and sites within short distances.

Warm welcome, large suites, comfortable king bed and full amenities. Cheerful and helpful breakfast staff with plenty of choices. Walking distance to town. Good eating choices for every budget and benches to sit outdoors around the town. Interesting shops with friendly staff. Rental car or bus tours to see sights out of town. We had our own transportation and parking was easily available.

our room was big and clean and the reception is nice, but the staff seemed apathetic most of the time, we had breakfast a couple of mornings and it took forever to be seated even though there were few people in the restaurant. Both mornings we had to wait ages for coffee and the second morning i asked again for coffee and the waitress was agitated and told me we was getting it, but had been held up. she couldn't seem to make it past the 1st few tables like there was an invisible line she couldn... A clean and quiet hotel , a good fifteen minute walk from downtown Jasper .It is dated decor wise but you don't get a know where you will be staying when on a tour. The restaurant, food was huge helpings but definitely not fine dining. The tour operator advised I would be collected by the hotel from the train but I ended up having to pay for a taxi both ways.

Hotels in Jasper are not cheap and Chateau Jasper is one of the cheapest. But at over $250 a night, one would expect better service than we received there in late September.  In our advance booking we requested a room either on the ground floor or near the elevator for my handicapped wife.  We were given instead a regular room on the 2nd floor at the far back of the building, as far as possible from the elevator and difficult to access from the parkade.  The air conditioning and TV in the roo... We stayed 2 nights. The hotel appeared a bit old, but the rooms were spotlessly clean and roomy. The food and service in their restaurant were excellent. We were very impressed by the friendly and helpful staff - it makes such a difference to our stay when the staff are friendly. The reception person gave us info on a nice walk which starts at the back of the hotel and we were lucky enough to see an elk quite close to the track - what a bonus! The hotel is an easy walk to the centre of town, and... Read more
