Hotel Chambord is well-situated. It's an easy walk to the lovely Saint-Boniface quartier, which is pretty, and has some lovely bars and restaurants. It's a 15-minute walk to the mediaeval centre of Brussels, and it's an easy journey to the European Commission, as well as being in the main shopping area of the city. It's also reasonably well appointed - the rooms are much the same as you'd find in the big chains. So far, so good. But the stay itself left a lot to be desired. It was cold in Bru... Read more

The stay at this hotel was a mix of good and bad. On the positive side, the hotel is located directly next to a train station so it's easy to get to. The staff is nice and helpful if you need directions for where to go. Also, there are different places to eat and shop nearby and you can easily walk to the main attractions in Brussels. It has big rooms divided into a place to sleep and a place to sit. The breakfast has many choices and is delicious. However, the condition of the hotel itself is... Read more

Reasonably good but service hours and furniture maintenance should be improved. Cleaning ladies stampede out at noon, bathroom required three fixes, heating settings were a mess and one of the reception clerks was in a permanent bad mood. HOWEVER, "Baboo" spoke several languages and was overall delightful even working on New Year's Eve.

My visit to this place was only based on the need of a hotel room since my usual place in Brussels was completely booked. To make a long story short: you should stay away from this place as far as you can since it is old, dirty and unsecure. I was welcomed by a highly desinteressted receptionist who told me when I asked him whether the hotel had a gym, that I could run around the block if I would like to do sports... The room itself - you can only reach it with an elevator out of 1947 (!) wh... Read more

I was given a business room which is quite better than the small ones they offered me in the past. It has a large desk and a good bed. The entourage (carpet, toilet, closet) is still a bit old and worn out and also non-descriptive (no photos or pictures on the wall). The wifi reception was poor and intermitting in my room, which was only on the second floor. The night porter couldn't tell me where in fact the wifi points were, but I was advised to sit in the closed bar on the ground floor. The h... Read more

This is a basic and functional operation that is close to most EU institutions and points of business. Reception clear and efficient. The rooms are reached via possibly the smallest elevator in Europe! Twisting narrow corridors yled to a somewhat spartan room. A d equate, lacking in aesthetic charm b ut no more than a place to sleep. Breakfast was good enough and in a nice airy room. The staff insisted on clearing all out at 10:00. Quite unpleasant as there is nowhere ... Read more

The hotel is located right across from the Porte de Namur metro stop and is a short walk from all the major tourist attractions except the Atomium. The front desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating and the breakfast was very good. The only minor problem was that room while comfortable, we were not given a way to control the heating so one night it was too cold, the next too hot and the bathroom never was warm enough.

I stayed here 8 years ago, and remembered it as a nice hotel. Either something changed or i remembered wrong; my room had a view to the window in another room (!), the aircon was extremely noizy. I came back from a meeting at 9 in the evening, and wanted to bring a drink to my room- but the hotel has no bar, nor mini bar in the room, and the receptionist referred me to a cola vending machine. Checking out the next morning, i waited 7 minutes for the elevator- as its a hotel with 5 floirs, but on... Read more

I stayed three nights in this Hotel. The room had all the basic facilities and was clean. The breakfast room is nice, with big windows looking out on the road in front of the hotel. The buffet breakfast has sufficient variety of items and actually very nice sweet pastries. The location is perfect in the middle of the centre of Brussels; all important sight seeing features are within walking distance.

Stayed at this hotel with my partner for 3 nights. We had room 602, a compact and nicely decorated room with a small terrace (with a great view) and air conditioning. There is a small lift, or you can take the challenge to climb to the sixth floor. The Room provided everything we needed and was big enough for 2, nice bathroom with great shower with hot water always available. Breakfast was included and offered bacon and egg, pastries, meat, cheeses, cereals, fruit and yogurts. Breakfast room is... Read more
