Mixed feelings about this hotel. Booked it as I was looking for an affordable place to sleep in Bruges, where hotels tend to be rather expensive. If you arrive by car, park in the ‚??Zilverpand‚?? parking nearby, prices are very reasonable even if you stay a few days. On foot it will take you 5 mins to get there. Friendly welcome upon arrival. Room (superior) spacious, but with the black curtains and wardrobe and dark mauve walls the room felt oppressive none the less - we only stayed there to... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights, absolutely loved it! Loved the city too! Hotel was clean, staff friendly, breakfast was delicious. Shower smelled a little weird, think its part of the plumbing system throughout the town though. Definitely recommend staying here, great location, our room was huge too!

This hotel is truly wonderful, and the staff are absolutely fantastic. Walking distance to the train station, and tucked away from the main street. Our room was immaculately clean. The continental breakfast was included and was delicious, and the staff kept the food stocked up. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay at the Sablon got off to a poor start as they mismanaged our booking and were not expecting us for the first night. I was concerned when they would not send a new confirmation after we changed our travel dates and even called an extra time to verbally confirm our stay dates. Since we did not speak the language, I cannot be sure but it seemed as though they did not try very many options to put us in another hotel of equal or better standard. They ended up placing us in a horrible hotel/h... Read more

We stayed here for one night as a family. Entering through the courtyard the hotel is well laid out. The greeting we received was lovely and the chap on the desk very friendly and helpful. He showed us to our room which had two separate bedrooms, two lounges, two bathrooms and all a great size. The hotel is centrally situated and so easy for walking around the main parts of Bruges. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast gave ample choice and the lady attending kept all the dishes sto... Read more

Was surprised by how nice the hotel was, the staff were fantastic and very helpful. Nice breakfast included in the cost of the room. Very close to the main attractions and markt. Walking distance from the train station which made things easy. There were a couple of things that would have been a nice addition to the room such as an iron or a kettle but overall we cannot complain and would recommend this hotel to others.

Visited 4 times in the last 2 years, with our most recent visit in February 2017. Staff is hands down awesome - reception remembered our prior visits and offered us an upgrade without us requesting. Rooms are comfortable, chic and quiet, with super comfortable beds and great linens. Most floors have a lounge area which is great for those travelling in a group. Location of hotel is a major plus also, within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. Finally, breakfast is great - good choice... Read more

We were traveling, as a party of 7, from Ghent to Bruges. On that day the trains in Belgium were on strike so we had to travel by Taxi van. This was nice because it saved us the 20 minutes of dragging baggage to the train station in Ghent and then another 15 minutes from the station in Bruges to our hotel. When the driver dropped us off, we found ourselves in an alley at a large gate with the hotel's name on it. As we entered, we were informed that our rooms were not ready but, this was ex... Read more

We were traveling as a group of 7, one room had a queen and a single bed. It had a large bathroom with a tub and an adjacent room with 2 lounging chairs. The other room was more of a suite. We walked into a large room with a large couch and dining table that could hold 6. There were 2 bedrooms off of this room. Each bedroom had a queen bed and full bath with shower, no tubs. Hair dryers and toiletries were included. All rooms had sky lights we could open considering we were on 3rd floor, top flo... Read more
