I stayed in this hotel 25.11-27.11.2016. Quite decent hotel with small numbers and awful audibility. But the impression was spoiled by one fact, I forgot the boots in number. In an hour after departure, I reported on a reception. I was answered not worry, transfer to us to the account 25 euros and we will send them by mail. Still boots didn't send. Don't answer my calls and letters. To send confirmation from mail to a request also don't answer. HERE STEAL!!!! Several times think before staying i... Read more

De Barge Hotel on the canal just outside the main area of Bruges, just a short walk into the town. The rooms were small but very comfortable and nice and warm, plumbing gurgles a bit in the morning. Breakfast was excellent cold meats and cheese also hot food available. We were on the ground floor and some noise could be heard from upstairs. I would recommend you asked for a Canal side room, better view. On the ground floor only about two feet from the water ducks liked their morning treat. Thi... Read more

We are so glad we chose to stay at De Barge Hotel! It was something different and well worth it. The room was clean , warm and comfortable with an equally clean little bathroom/ensuite with the usual shampoo, conditioner, shoe shine kits etc. The TV had many channels with multiple languages which was great too. There is no mini fridge or coffee/tea facilities but that didn't bother us at all. We were out most of the time & enjoying hot wine & Irish coffees at the Christmas markets! Breakfast is... Read more

Very nice little hotel slightly out of the way of the main city. The location makes for a nice quiet stay and a nice short walk from the activities. We stayed for 3 nights and paid ?300 inc taxes, which I think is a bit expensive for what it is. We didn't eat in the restaurant, as it was a bit expensive for our needs, but they were quite happy for us to sit in at a table and have a few drinks one evening and the food looked very good. (We went to the barge next door where the food was simpler... Read more

Simply brilliant , was so glad we decided to stay here, nice spot on the canal .Enjoyed a really lovely dinner.. oven baked cod .. delicious . Thought it was really nice to give us a free appetizer of broccoli soup and game pate while we were waiting on the starters. Barman was really friendly and helpfull and made us feel really welcome. Bar & restaurant nice with windows overlooking the canal with the cheeky ducks coming up to the window for some bread. The barge was that lovely we just stayed... Read more

Very friendly and the morning breakfast is 'help yourself service' with more than enough choice of food and drink. The room was small but most importantly it was clean and comfortable. A nice change to your usual stay in hotel.

This is a quirky place to stay if you want something different. Room was clean and comfortable with a shower room. We lay in bed and watched the barges float passed our window. Breakfast was lovely. great variety of meats and breads. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Stayed here a while ago on a biking trip round Europe. Decided to stay here again a few years later on the return leg of a business trip to Holland. The service was as good as I remember it. The downside is that you can't charge drinks to your room, and the staff are reluctant to take cards. Apart from that the rooms are a bit small but comfortable, still acceptable. You get 2 life jackets in your room. We stayed on the hottest 2 days in September and it would be nice if there was air-con, but a... Read more

........... we not only stayed there on our way to Germany but immediately booked to stay there also on our way home. Very conveniently only 90 minutes from Le Shuttle. It has been converted so sympathetically; the rooms are lovely; staff speak English; breakfast is great - with ducks just a few feet away through the window.
