The gentleman who checked us in was rude and short. Felt like we were inconveniencing him. The parking is not close. Itā??s about a 10-15 min walk. There is no air conditioning so you need to sleep with the windows open. You can hear EVERYTHING happening outside. We stayed in October so it wasnā??t hot, but there is no way Iā??d even consider this hotel in the summer. There was a plug in bug killer in our room for mosquitoes. We didnā??t have an issue because the weather was too cool, but itā??s... Read more

Nice quiet location on the edge of the historic part of the City. Walking distance from all the sites of interest. very clean and comfortable, family-run establishment, room small but fine for our weekend break. Public area homely & welcoming with drinks available - although few guests took advantage of this welcome facility. Breakfast included very good coffee ( hooray ! ) and was more than satisfactory if you do not expect " The Full English " ! Overall a very enjoyable first stay in Bruges; ... Read more

Hotel Bryghia was a step back in time with an old style elevator and older style rooms. Upon arrival the manager was not inclined to help us with our luggage and as the elevator was small we could only take up one suitcase at a time. Breakfast wasn't too bad but mine host was not the most genial fussing more about the food than his guests. The age old system of towels being replaced if left in the shower didn't work here as we had to request clean ones. The saving grace was the location as it ... Read more

The hotel is very welll located close to the town centre yet very quite away from the tourist/traffic noise. Very friendly family people. Relatively small rooms but quite confortably layed-out. Nice breakfast. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for three nights in Aug. 2017. The room was lovely and clean with several mod cons and perfect for our stay. The husband and wife team running the hotel were helpful and provided a yummy breakfast to set you up for the day. It is close to town in a quiet area. The dƩcor is very traditional for Belgium and comes complete with Belgian chocolate on your pillow. Would definitely recommend it and stay here again if we were to return.

The hotel is located in the old town of Bruges and you need to take bus (4 or 14) from the train station and the bus stop is just a few minute walk to the hotel. Since it was the off season when I was there, the hotel was quiet. It's a house built in 1478 by a German merchant. It was converted to today's hotel back in 1965. It has 18 rooms on four floors. The elevator is very small, only big enough to accommodate you and the luggage. The lobby is like a living room where you can enjoy beers a... Read more

Recently stayed here with a couple of mates on an xmas markets jolly . The hotel is in a great location with a 10 minute walk to the main square . It is also in a very quiet location on a canal . Rooms are adequate and have everything you need . Only minor moan would be that breakfast is a bit of a scrum as it's a very small room . Breakfast is plentiful and everything is topped up regularly . Would recommend friends or family to stay here and would definately stay here again . Beer at the hotel... Read more

We booked this Hotel online, based on Location and price, the hotel is overlooking a canal, less than five minutes walk from the centre, quiet location. The owners are Husband and Wife, they speak Flemish, Dutch, English, French and German, that we heard, all fluently. Very friendly, plenty of choice with the continental style breakfast, comfortable room, the owners even booked a taxi for us back to the Railway Station. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

I had my doubts until I got there as the photos IĀ“ve seen weren't too appealing. The reviews were good and most of the accomodation in Brugge was more expensive I decided to give it a go... I had not so pleasant experiences in the past with this kind of hotels where in the end it was just old fashioned hotels, where managers didnĀ“t want to bother to improve. But bryghia is different, a old building yes but it's clean and well maintaned... it's almost like being in a 50's hotel, with that vibe... Read more
