While you read a lot of negative comments about royal bahamian, that was my the case for my husband or myself. We went July of 2016 and we didn't have any problems. The room was clean, staff was friendly, food was good the wait was sometimes long but that didn't bother us much. There was a lot of people, we didn't use butler service and still got helped as if we would have, it was only my husband and myself there for our wedding and the staff and my wedding planner went above and behind, she... Overall had a wonderful stay. Food was pretty good, although service at the some of the restaurants was slow at times. The island was lovely, although we only got to go a couple of times during our stay due to rough sea / bad weather. The dive centre had quite a few issues while we were there (multiple dives cancelled), which was annoying, but the guides and boat crew were very friendly. I would visit again, but at a warmer time of year.

I have tried many Sandals and I really don't know why I keep trying. I have really not ever had a great experience but this was by far one of the worst. We had a suite in the windsor building. Upon arrival at this resort we were shown to a room where we literally waited for over an hour to be shown to our room. The wrong room which precipitated another hour until they figured it out. It was not a good start. To review the room. It was surface clean in most areas but very dirty in others. I am a... Read more

We recently were married this summer and planned our trip to the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort. We were so excited, this being the type of trip we have only dreamed of taking. TWO days before we were to leave, we got a very non descript, nonchalant message stating they saw our trip was coming up and if we would please call back to review the plans. Luckily we did. The Royal Bahamian was going to be CLOSED (due to a labor dispute, apparently working for Sandals doesn't pay well), so they had... Read more

We loved our Butler Melissa and Diana who catered to our every need and want. They made reservations for us for dinner every night, reserved prime spots for us at the pool with umbrellas and champagne on ice and a cooler of beer so we didn't have to wait for more at the poolside bar. They booked our excursions for us, turned down our rooms with cute towel animals and notes, and helped us with every step of the check in and check out process (you get shuttled back and forth from the hotel in your... We had a butler half of the time we were there so were able to compare the two experiences. The main advantage is that they make it pretty difficult to get a reservation at the restaurants that require it without a butler. They will also reserve pool chairs for you, however after a certain time if no one is there you can take the reserved chairs even if you don't have a butler. They also brought us room service, breakfast and snacks in the afternoon. We had top shelf alcohol in our room but only... Read more

The Sandals Royal Bahamian was our first experience with Sandals. It was a great vacation and we wanted for nothing. We booked a Pool Walkout room. The staff were over and above. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was good and our favorite was the Brittish Pub Shepards Pie. The pools were wonderful and they provide floats to bask in the sun on. The beach area was small. We did enjoy the boat ride to their private island. The nightly entertainment was fun and light. Our room was d... Read more

We stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort. My previous stay was at Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica. I enjoyed this stay although it was a longer stay, I enjoyed it. Very nice restaurants and the staff was above average, just really good people. I loved the bungalow that has 4 units each. Personal pools and hot tub were right outside the bungalow. Wonderful Island right across the bay about a 20 minute ride. The food was great at each of the 7 restaurants. I had a really good time.

Sandals is for ‚??two people in love‚?? and as such, rooms and activities are designed with couples in mind. This posting took a long time for me to write because I had so many positive things to say. It was very long, so I cut out all but the most important stuff for others to know. The staff that we encountered were, for the most part, extremely friendly. The managers that we saw seemed truly interested in our answer when they asked us how we were doing. For an accurate picture look for an ae... Read more
