There are too many wrong with this place for the price they charge. This place is way more like the $100/night holiday inn in the USA than it is a $300+/night hotel: 2* hotel at a 4* price. Don't stay here it is not worth it. (1) The electrical transformer in my bathroom was beyond its useful life. The lights flickered like a horror movie every time they were turned on. (2) The elevator is ridiculously slow and there is only one of them. (3) The decor is awful, the hallway look like old m... Read more

A great location but the Standard Rooms are old and tired...my Bar fridge was easily from the 1980s! Housekeeping not good either...despite my request sheets weren't changed and bathroom not cleaned...had to get them back twice. However great service in the restaurant, the food is lovely and the front desk promptly dealt with my concerns. Closer to a three star than four star hotel and rooms quite expensive for what they are.

Overall, this location fits the bill for a 2-star hotel. Unless the price is outstanding or you absolutely have to be in this (very convenient) location, I can't recommend staying here. The room & bathroom were large, but the decor was extremely dated, the furniture was scratched & the carpet was stained. There was only one easily-available outlet in the room itself, which was woefully inadequate. The dark hallway was poorly maintained and gloomy. There was only one elevator for this 2-story sec... This is a busy hotel at Potts Point / Kings Cross Sydney. Its within 30 yards of Kings Cross station so easy access by train. The rooms are comfortable and clean with good showers, I found the staff to be very helpfully and attentive. Breakfast consists of a very good selection of hot and cold buffet with a small menu that can be cooked by the chef from fresh. However the hot buffet could be hotter even if you are first in at 6 am. It is not an ideal location for tourists visiting the city. I wo... Read more

It was a great hotel. Nice lobby, clean room, friendly staff. Nice location, the train station is just 2mins walk from the hotel. I could see the Sydney Tower Eye, harbour bridge, and the Opera House from my window even though it's just on the 2nd floor.

The hotel is new and is of the standard one has come to expect of the Holiday Inn hotel chain. There is a restaurant which is part of the hotel and the choice of breakfast foods is something to be envied. It would be nice to have heated towels, after all this is a 4 star hotel. The area the hotel is situated in is called Potts Point but it would be more exact to call it Kings Cross which like its named counterpart in London is a red light area containing sex shops and strip clubs. Do not let tha... Read more

I have stayed in this hotel many times. I feel it is going down hill. Reasons: 1. I booked in at about 4PM and my corridor was full of meal trays, overturned plates and assorted leftovers. By 3:PM latest, all this should be cleared for incoming guests 2. I have been a reasonably regular guest since Feb 2017 and the movies have never changed in the menu 3. The restaurant gets little priority against the bar. Diners are often left for some time 4. Rooms seem ??dusty??. My wife has compla... Read more

Kings Cross Station is one minutes walk away Take the Victoria St exit There is a Elevator which is handy if you have luggage There are many Buses from Kings Cross I would stay there again

Stayed here for 8 nights from 10th Oct.2017. Well first impressions were nice reception area and bar /restaurant. Check inn was smooth we were then shown to our room, I'm sorry to say we were really disappointed it smelled of stale cigarettes and was shabby, we rang down to reception and aired our concerns we were immediately shown another room which sadly was just the same. The duty manager Stephanie then showed us a third room which was a big improvement, the smell was still there but it was be... Read more

This hotel has very tired decor and is dated The staff tried hard and were courteous at all times. The big negative is the entrance and outdoor area at the lobby entrance catering only for smokers - horrid smelly air and destroys what could be a pleasant area to sit outdoors . Why do smokers get preference over non smokers ? We non smokers have choices and rights too.
