Worn, lackluster and close to nothing in Calafate. Calafate is a pretty cool place albeit a bit touristic, but, if you're there for the glaciers, its pretty much your only choice for lodgings (if you're not backpacking, that is). But if you are looking for a hotel, this place isn't it. There are many other choices that are closer to "centro" downtown Calafate. My room had a good view of Lake Argentina but honestly that's the only virtue I can think of. The walls were so thin I could hear the co... Read more

It is a Hotel I would not like to visit again. Far away from down town. You must take Taxi to reach the hotel. Rooms are very small, cramped and poorly furnished. Bathroom is far bellow par. The breakfast is lousy, poor spread and poor quality. Some hotel staff is friendly but some are not so polite. I chose the hotel because it semd on Google Map that it is on the lake and paid extra for lake view room. But I was mistaken on both counts. Lake waters are at least 2 km away from hotel and the Lak... Read more

A comfortable room with a view of the lake and an enjoyable walk along the lake's edge into town - taxis are inexpensive if you prefer. There is Wi-Fi in the Hotel. The meals served in their restaurant were excellent. We were made very welcome by their staff, particularly Belen and Sara. A great place to stay when exploring Los Glaciares National Park.

Located on the end of Calafate, just a few steps of Lago Argentino. We were in Calafate for 2 nights 3 days, just enough time to get a glance of the beautiful Patagonia. We got around 11am to the hotel, they help us book a last minute trip to Perito Moreno glacier at noon that same day. As well as confirm our trip to Torres de Paine next day. They ask you to book dinner before 7pm, we ate dinner only one night it was delicious with a touch of comfy homemade taste. On our last day we walk to Cala... Read more

I stayed at the Hosteria Koi Aiken for 2 nights last October while touring southern Patagonia. An elegant quiet hotel, with the only real negative it being so far out of town. However taxi prices were very reasonable and for the fit, it would be a nice walk. Wi-Fi only in public areas unless you are in the room right next to reception, but then be prepared to be awake until 1am due to the noise of staff in the office. Food was a little on the bland and ordinary. Staff very courteous and helpful.
