Santa Rosa National Park is the most important monument to the protection of the Dry Forest and the independence of Costa Rica. At the same time you will have the chance to walk thru the dry forest that contains up to 2% of the world’s biodiversity on any one of the park’s trails. While at the park you can see sights of the area’s most diverse plants and animals including monkeys, birds, deer and many more.
After the hike you will make your way to Liberia City, where you can walk around the center of Liberia and have a glimpse of the historical white city. Liberia City, historically, has been called "La Ciudad Blanca" because of its white adobe houses, white dirt roads and its people who dressed all in white because of the extreme heat. You will have the opportunity to visit these historic sites and shop for souvenirs.
