The Atlantis Seaworld Observatory is a state-of-the-art semi-submarine developed in New Orleans for use on the shallow reefs around Grand Cayman. This unique vessel does not submerge but allows you step down into the hull of the cruising underwater observatory and sit in air-conditioned comfort just 5 feet below the water's surface where you will have the opportunity to get an up close view of an abundance of underwater sealife and even historic shipwrecks of Grand Cayman!
Your journey begins at the dramatic shipwreck of Cali, a steel schooner built in 1900 that ran aground 100 yards off the coast of Grand Cayman in 1944. From here, your captain takes you to Cheeseburger Reef where divers enter the waters and begin to feed the hundreds of multi-colored tropical fish right in front of your window! Next, you will hear more tales of the high seas as the Observatory moves to the wreck of the Balboa, a 375-foot freighter that sunk in a hurricane in 1932!
