Very unprofessional hotel. The staff slept on the floor behind the reception desk. I asked for help because my girlfriend was sick. He told me He couldn't help me. I should just go out on the street and find a taxi and say "hospital" Stupid. So I had to go back to the room and call a Danish emergency line who could guide me to a good hospital. I would never stay here again. And the hotel was dirty, boring and had a bad smell.

All in all the hotel was fine but was slightly let down by some of the hotel staff. One or two reception staff were quite rude and only interested in taking money. Inconsistency with info given to customers where one staff member would Tell you one thing and the other would tell you the opposite. Messed about with room changes

This hotel is situated near Ben Thanh market, less than 2 minutes walk. Opposite there is a convenience store selling basic stuff. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff speaks English. Had a room on the 8th floor and size is ok. Very basic room. Kinda weird as the room has a kettle and 2 cups but no coffee or tea present. Usually if there is a boiler, there would be some basic drinks provided. They have also a minibar stock up. There was a safe in the room but was not functional. So, to keep your... Read more

The hotel is in the middle of the city, with all nice places in a few minutes walk away. The Ben Thanh market is just across the road. Around the hotel are all kinds of small restaurants and shops, very typical vietnamese foods for just two dollars. The price is ok for the place, however you cannot expect the convenience of a 5star hotel. Everything is clean, neat, due to the central location it is a little bit noisy, but ok for a city tour.

I booked superior room, the 2nd cheapest room offered. I got room in 11th floor which unfortunately the elevator only reach the 10th floor and have to continue by stairs. This "special" condition isn't written in the booking site. I'm surprised when the receptionist guy told me, and he tried to "polish" that the room is brand new and have a big window. Well sorry, isn't true!! I actually don't mind about the extra stair but don't like the "brand new and big window" foolish story!! Is an old room... Read more

Stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. The hotel is one of the new ones compared to neighbouring hotels. Overall clean rooms, lobby and cafe area. The breakfast buffet is okay, they serve also serve the local pho bo and that's a big hit with people. The food is not halal though, so we ate only fruits and coffee. When we wanted to leave for the airport, they offered the hotel car instead of local taxi, which is good, as the rate is cheap (similar to paying local taxi, ~150k Dong), and it is safe... Read more

I enjoyed our stay at Thien Xuan Hotel. The location is awesome. It's steps away from the Ben Thanh Market and about a 9 minute walk/4 minute cab maximum from most of the tourist destinations. The staff are helpful, friendly, and easy to talk to. The bathroom could be cleaner but you get what you pay for. Also, the water in the shower is warmer than usual. My mom felt like the air conditioning in the room wasn't strong enough but I thought it was perfectly fine.

Clean and comfortable hotel, in a great location...opposite the market and easy walking distance to all the District 1 and beyond sites. Staff were very professional and helpful, lovely breakfast in the morning. I would recommend a stay here!

Great spot 100m from the Ben Thanh markets. Clean, tidy rooms, and I have always found the staff here really helpful, subject to the language limitations. Great , but simple breakfast - ask for the Pho! As always, the higher you go, the less noise from the city.

We stayed here for 2 nights. A great hotel, very clean, friendly staff. Cafes and restaurants just outside your door. Breakfast was included, the food was delicious. The room we booked wasn't available so they upgraded us at no extra cost! Would definitely stay here again.

We are a family of 4 who had booked a suite that had x2 doubles using booking.com. After a long trip we arrived in our room which only slept 3 it had 1 double and 1 single. The receptionist didn't think this was a problem and kept saying the room was the same size as the other and offered a roll out bed at no charge! It is disappointing that the hotel never advised us that the room booked wasn't available as they had our email. The roll out bed was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast is average, col... Read more

I was making a brief trip over to Vietnam from Thailand to meet a friend in Ho Chi Minh. The main reason was to get a first taste of the country and be in reach of the war artefacts and history. The hotel was found via web searches and chosen because of price and availability. I believe there was a bit of a mix up on arrival with the booking, but this worked in my favour, so points for recognising and doing something positive to remedy (room upgrade). The staff weren't particularly smiley or c... Read more

Ok, I might seem unfair but we've been traveling through Vietnam and every time we get to a hotel the bell boys always get our bags upstairs, when we got to this hotel the guy was stood there on his phone didn't pay any attention to us at all. Went to check in and they were just in a rush didn't really seem like they cared, pointed us to our room..we got there and there was a full army of ants I mean it felt like we was in world war 3 pretty sure if a war started I would have lost! honestly spea... Ben Thanh market is just a few steps away, other landmarks are also within walking distance. We booked a room with queen bed but ended up with 2 twin beds put together as 1 large bed, you can imagine how uncomfortable it is. Towels and bed sheets are so old that they are not even white, maybe it's time to replace them? Our room 307 has a big window with street view but it's quite noisy since the window glass is so thin. Besides, the room is not well soundproofed, you can easily hear noise from... Read more

The location is absolutely great; the market is just a few steps away and many other attractions are in walking distance, at least for a good walker. The room was ok and clean, although could use some touch-ups or light renovations. It had no window (which I guess is not too unusual in HCMC) and only a little daylight came in through the bathroom. It had aircon, TV and a safe. The breakfast was not good, but there are good bakeries closely for breakfast and many good restaurants.
