A beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Very large, clean, well appointed room. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom suite! Loads of amenities and a great pool. They have thought of everything! Staff are efficient and helpful. Perfect for families. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 9 days with family. Initially not my first choice as slightly further out and older, but prices are very competitive and extra taxi distance is not noticeable. Went for a 2 bedroom but were upgraded to a huge 3 bedroom on check in, nice. We were on a low floor and concerned about traffic noise, but the double glazing and double balcony doors took care of that. Apartment was nice, large, all mod cons and wooden floors in bedrooms. Pool area was also nice, not really a place to... Read more

We stayed here at the end of our trip to Beijing and Vietnam and it was the perfect place to end our holiday. We had a huge apartment with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge / diner, kitchen and utility room with washer and driver. Amazing value for around £90 a night, including breakfast. The apartments are in a complex with hotel style reception, lovely swimming pool, gym, games room, mini cinema and restaurant. Everything you could want really. It was so nice to come in from the heat an... Read more

It is a beautiful hotel, and all the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. It has plenty of useful facilities, including a great breakfast, pool and poolside high tea. The rooms are really big and comfortable, and they have everything you need. It is within distance of a lot of the big Ho Chi Minh attractions, and there is always a cab on hand out the front.

We stayed here in 2012 when we had 2 kids, so we knew it was a great choice to stay with our 3 kids. The staff is friendly and helpful, the units are extremely clean and have amenities needed by families (refrigerator, washer and dryer, more than 1 bathroom). The playroom and pool are perfect for keeping the kids happy (and parents) when they don't want to walk around in the hot weather. The location couldn't be better either. It's not far from the airport, and is right on one of the distric... Read more

4 of us went to this hotel for 3 nights, it looked very up market from the outside. but the small thing where noticed, such as one small bar of soap shared between basin and shower and 2 people for 3 nights. i only had 1 pillow which for me in not enough. Apparently where was free ice cream some time in the afternoon when most guests where out, what time we do not know. Staff not over friendly, even the cat grin seemed their best. The breakfast and food at the restaurant was expensive for the q... Read more

I had originally booked an apartment at Mayfair Suites, but on the day I was set to fly in to Saigon I got a call and email (via booking.com) explaining that Mayfair couldn't honour my reservation and they'd put me up at Sherwood in District 3 instead. It was pretty upsetting because I imagined District 3 to be really far away from everything. I landed up at Mayfair anyway, so they could transport me to Sherwood. A short wait later, a very courteous staff member and driver escorted me to Sherwoo... Read more

We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom suite which was spacious, clean, well-furnished. Full, compact kitchen, washing machine and dryer, two televisions with English language channels, power points took Australian plugs without using a conversion plug. Location was brilliant - very close to District One and 5 minutes walk to the War Remnants museum and another 5 minutes to the Reunification Palace. The Co-Op supermarket was a minute away - walk past the pool, out the back gate, across the road and tu... Read more

Sherwood residence is an upmarket residential hotel in District 3 of Saigon (Ho Chi Min City). The establishment is excellent. The staff are well trained, friendly and eager to please. We had a luxury family apartment which was well serviced and pleasantly kitted with all amenities. District three is developing so there is a fair amount of construction. It is a short taxi ride or bus ride to any part of the city. Vena sun taxis are highly recommended. There is always one within a few minutes, t... Read more

Was unsure about Sherwood from photos but came recommended from a friend. Did not disappoint. Huge comfortable 3 bed, 2 bathroom apartment with kitchen facilities. Shuttle to district one attractions was helpful. Hotel itself is beautifully decorated even if apartments themselves are a little sparse. Used gym and pool area and both really good quality. Breakfast was basic but fine for price of room. Would recommend for families for sure.

We came to Vietnam with our three adult children and stayed at Sherwood. We have found them to be most hospitable and helpful. The reception staff are unfailingly friendly and smiley. Our accommodation air conditioning has been really appreciated, and we have enjoyed good quality sleeps in quiet rooms. I would recommend this hotel to other Wes... Read more

The hotel itself was very nice. The pool a welcome relief. On departure when finalizing our bill, they said we broke or stole a glass. Definitely didn't do either one, which made me mad. However they insisted on us paying for it, i was angry, after spending thousands of dollars they wanted a petty $3 more. Its not the money, its the accusations. I am an honest person. And $3!!

Upon arriving around 2am we were greeted and taken to our room. We were surprised how big the room looked, although the decor not really to our looking and looked a tad dated, but we just realised this was the look and feel for the hotel and was very well kept. We had everything in the room, and found out everything at the hotel too! Gym, pool, kids area then the business floor had pool table and ping pong too. We book an apartment for our big family. It has a great localtion so we can easily walk to the main attractions. There was small kitchen inside and a super-market nearby so we can cook dinner for the kids. However, be aware of the scooters outside as they will be riding on the pavement all the time!

Checked into this hotel with 4 other friends for 4 nights. It is located at district 3 but that is not really a problem. Just walk along Pasteur Street and you will reach district 1, passing by the Unification Palace and Notre Dame in 15 to 20 minutes. The War Remnant Museum is also just nearby. The apartment is big and spacious, the furniture and amenities are also simple and modern. Perfect for long stayer. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special. A quick tour of the place and the pictures really didn't do it justice. Our room was upgraded and it had everything we needed. The facilities were first class - didn't use the cinema though, so can't comment. Breakfast was good, I've had better, but still filled a gap. A big thank you to the staff for helping to make the four days so enjoyable!!!

The kitchen is abnormally tiny and you can not cook anything in that space. The stove is problematic because it takes more than 1 hour to boil water. The kitchenware are made from terrible material and the reason why I know this is because once when I was cooking with the metal pot provided, the pot started to move around and jumping on the stove. It frightened me and when I informed the housekeeping manager, he told me it's because the stove is hot!! LIKE DO YOU EXPECT THE STOVE TO BE COLD!!!! ... Read more

Ok the good points are the location, although in district 3 its a short walk to the war remnants, water puppets, post office and independence palace. The inside of the reception is lovely and judging by the number of rolls Royce and Bentleys that are at the hotel it must be doing very well for itself. The staff are pleasant and their English is good. The hotel runs a shuttle service every 1 hour to ben thand market etc. Lots of security at the hotel. We stayed at the Sherwood Residence for 4 days in July 2016. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the 2 bedroom apt we booked were full and got upgraded to a 3 bedroom. We loved it! Clean rooms and nicely decorated. The staff were wonderful. Helped us with our restaurant reservations, transport and our outing to Chu Chi Tunnels. The hotel is also centrally located and within walking distance from great restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay. We stayed in a 3 bedroom which was large and spacious and comfortable. The layout was a bit odd. But it had everything we needed. The games room was fabulous for the kids. After a day of tours or shopping in the hot sun, kids came back to play billards, Xbox, swim or table tennis. It helped all of us have a relaxing time. The Sherwood residence provided us with luxury accommodation as a cost effective alternative to a 5 star hotel . The apartment we were given was spacious, well appointed and serviced regularly by very courteous and professional staff. The pool was good, the children's playground excellent and we could not have been better treated. Highly recommended. Free shuttle bus to the city attractions and plentiful taxis in between services.

While the place itself is nice enough, the staff was horribly rude to us. After returning to the hotel we had guests with us that needed to pick up a bag from our room. They said our guests needed ID's, but we told them it would literally take just 5 minutes to grab the bag. They began to yell at us and embarrass both us and our guests in front of other customers. The duty manager (Duong) began making threatening movements towards us and threatened to call security/police. The entire experience... Read more

We were a little disappointed with the Sherwood. The appartment was perfectly fine for our family, however, the pool and surrounding area was a let down. It was very noisy - not a good place to relax after the bustle of the city. The breakfast was also expensive and very mediocre. Plus side is location - it's in a good spot to get around HCM I would not stay here again
