Recently stayed at the riverside Renaissance and I was very happy overall. The desk staff have me a complimentary room upgrade to a corner room overlooking the river which was very nice. The executive lounge is well stocked and has good views as well. The room was spacious and very clean/comfortable. I will stay here again. It's location was nice, easy walking around downtown and in a safe area. The only negative about this place is the elevators are extremely slow, requiring a miserable walt. ... Read more

Our family stayed here for 3 nights, and it was a very comfortable hotel with the same feeling as a Marriott hotel in the United States. After travelling two weeks in Vietnam we were very happy to have a Western style hotel - clean, with good air conditioning, nice sitting areas, and restaurant. On the other hand, the hotel has little character or charm (since it was exactly like the hotels where we live in the USA), and it would have been nice if there was some Vietnamese character since after... The Renaissance Riverside Hotel is a truly incredible property. Located in the heart of downtown Ho Chi Minh, very close to the Ben Than marketplace, it provides any newcomer to the city the opportunity to explore the city on foot, discovering many of its secrets. The rooms at the hotel are great - we ended up with a corner river view and could not have been happier. The beds are comfy, rooms are spacious, and shower is a little slice of heaven after the hot Ho Chi Minh summer days. The staff a... Read more

Well equipped gym open 24 hours. Standard clean marriott room with those facing the river having a good view. Marriott. com pestered me prior to check-in to use the web feature so my key would be waiting. In fact when I arrived, no such thing and the check-in required a standard amount of time. The staff is relatively competent, but not particularly attentive beyond the basic requirements to the traveler's needs.

I am a Marriott fan. I stay with Marriott as often as possible when traveling. I was disappointed here for a couple reasons. First, when making the reservation on the Marriott website/app, I specifically requested extra pillows, towels, etc. None of these items were provided. One of the three elevators did not work, and taking the stairs was like a maze, with little help from staff until they realized we were not the only customers having issues. Well situated in Ho Chi MInh City. With river front and major shops nearby. Ben Thanh market is only 20 minutes walk. Swimming pool (level 21) and Club lounge (level 18) have great city view and river view. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. One major downfall for a 5 stars hotel in this day and ages: NO free wifi in your room.

Enjoyed my 3-night stay in Saigon. Though hotel is undergoing some renovation works in on the ground floor, it didn't affect our stay at all. Beautiful view from the Liquid Sky Bar on 21st floor. They gave us a corner room with river view. Lovely. The room was very spacious to accommodate an extra bed for my son. Many nice eateries around the hotel. Walking distance to many attractions in Saigon.

Nice hotel situated at the Saigon river. The business center has a perfect view on the river. The staff is very friendly. Having stayed in many Marriott properties, this one is somewhat tired looking. The rooms are clean but old and dull. The good news is the hotel is going through a major refurb at the moment so my review might be very different if I revisited once complete. The refurb is relatively unobtrusive but does take away from any impressiveness that might have come from staying at a fancy chain such as Renaissance. The new ground floor restaurant Viet Kitchen in the Renaissance Riverside Hotel is a hit. It has a "cool" feeling, great lights and a chic set up with full view of the Saigon river. There is a buffet option with beautiful choice for a very good price. The à la carte menu is varied and diverse including some " best of" Vietnamese cuisine and some more unusual ones (ex: banana spring rolls are divine). The staff is very attentive, very quick to help and offer advice, all in all great service and... Read more

I came with my Dad on a Friday night. The Viet Kitchen restaurant has just been refurbished. So they have kind of soft launch with light buffet. Still okay with the fresh bread, tender lamb, tasty seabass with cream... The excellent service came from the restaurant staffs, especially Phương and a tall male supervisor sorry i forgot your name. You all gave us an extra miles of care. Big thanks to the team.

I would like to thank all the staf of the Renaissance hotel for their natural kindness and professionalism. I spent there three wonderful and restful days with my kids and we appreciated a lot the services and all the particular and delicate attentions the staff provided to us. The location of the hotel is ideal for the families who want to visit the city center without taking any taxi services.

Going to the rooftop of the hotel to enjoy the pool with nice music is a must ! They have a magnificent view of the river. Arrived here on our first visit to Vietnam. Very warm and friendly hotel. River view corner room was especially nice. Upgrade to the club breakfast was worth the splurge; both Western and Vietnamese, Chinese foods. A charming "navigator" Thuy gave us many suggestions and showed us around on a map for walking the sights. Very nice experience!

This was my first visit to Ho Chi Minh City. Being an elite Marriott Rewards member, I selected this property because it was near the event I was attending. I was not disappointed. Property is well kept. But more importantly the staff was excellent. Always willing to help and do so with a smile. The airlines busted the zipper on my luggage. Since my stay was only a few days, I figured there wasn't enough time to have it repaired and resigned myself to buying a new bag. I asked the Concierge wher... Read more

This was my second visit to this hotel. It was great the first time and even better this time! The concierge lounge, run by Ms. Giang Le, is just unbelievable for a Marriott Property. She and her crew were as good as anyone at a Four Seasons. Their Chinese restaurant is also first rate. Order their Beijing Duck.

I was here 2 nights, in for a business meeting. I arrived just as the evening reception was ending but the front desk clerk took me to the club and made sure I got a glass of wine before they closed. Then the club staff helped me figure out transportation for my meeting and suggested an evening show (AO) at the Opera House. Wonderful show and walking distance. Also good restaurant referral for authentic food. The hotel was ok but it was the service that prompted me to give a 5 star rating.
