It's not a fancy place, even thought I stayed in the "VIP" room. However, it's not bad. Service was alright, breakfast was great and the rooms decent (stayed in two different rooms). Location is amazing for your first time in Saigon and I guess that's one of the most important things.

This hotel has a handy location close to the central markets. It is a great base from which to explore the city. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Try to get breakfast included as it is a good start to the day.

It is well established that this is a clean hotel in an ideal location. I found the staff pleasant and helpful, most with a fairly good grasp of the English language . I had room service three evenings and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Breakfast was a very good start to the day, and the coffee is exceptionally good. I stayed for nearly two weeks and the decision to take the VIP room with a terrace really made it a perfect stay. In the early morning and later afternoons and ev... Read more

We payed $25AUD a night to stay in a standard room here so we weren't expecting much. Had read a lot of bad reviews so we were expecting the worst for our last few nights. Arrived at the hotel and the staff were friendly, our check in was handled well and all the staff seemed polite and spoke good enough English. Room was very basic, no window, small but clean/neat bathroom, plenty of cupboard space. Bed was hard, but not the hardest we had slept on whilst travelling through Thailand/Vietnam... Read more

You can walk to all you want to see in Hoh Chi Minh from this location. The staff at the front desk speak good English and are very helpful. Breakfast is buffet and very good. Bed is hard, but they are mostly that way in Asia. Bedding was good, room was clean.

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could! From how clean they keep it, to the perfect mixture of local and western types of food on the amazing breakfast buffet, to the staff and the great air conditioning! I mention that last part because for a spoiled American like myself I need AC! I have stayed in hotels all over Vietnam and other parts of Asia, but this one has a great feel and is very welcoming. The staff is tremendous and very friendly. I have stayed here now 4 times and each time... Read more

Located 2 minutes walk to Ben Thanh Market and easy walking distance to all shops and amenities in central HCM (or Saigon as it is still more commonly known). The hotel appears to be fairly new and all facilities are excellent. A decent breakfast is also included in the room rate.

I have been to Ho Chi Minh for 2 times already and Lan Lan hotel 2 is always the best choice because it located not too far from the Ben Thanh market also near the hotel was the convenience store which you can buy instant noodles, drinks and snacks which the shop name is Circle K.

I stayed 3 nights in VIP room wich contained 2 air conditioner, 1 doesn't work. I had to sleep 2 nights without air conditioner in the guest room ! Finanlly I had the air conditioner only the third night ! So paid 3 nights for 1 night with air conditioner !!! 10 days after, I returned in this hotel for the same VIP room. Guess what ? The air conditioner was not working again !!!

If you intend to pay money to sleep here don't bother, the constant banging on the walls starts around 8am. EVERY MORNING. I don't know or care if it's construction, that's unacceptable. Breakfast is good

I choose to stay at this hotel, because of the good location and also this hotel were listed as one of the HALAL hotel (HALAL breakfast). i book a 3 nights stay with breakfast for all 4 of us. But we found out that they serve pork. So i have been frustrated. If i would know that, i might only book the room, and try to get some breakfast at the HALAL restaurant along the Malaysia Street. There is plenty of choice there. They also don't provide iron. You have to pay them, and they will do the iron... Read more

My traveling companion chose LL2 because she had been there before and liked the location, complimentary breakfast, and free wifi. Out of all the places I stayed in Vietnam, LL2 definitely had the best breakfast buffet in that there was something for everyone with western (bacon, omelette, polish sausage, toast) and Vietnamese choices (pho, cha gio, bahn khot), as well. See my photos of the food. In addition to the breakfast buffet, the location is ideal to walk around town and there is a Circl... Read more

I stayed at the Lan Lan 2 after there was no more availability at the Lan Lan 1. It was quiet and clean. However, it wasn't as great of quality as Lan Lan 1. It was cheaper though, and reasonably priced, so you get what you pay for. My only negative takeaway was that my boyfriend and I asked to see a room the night before before we made the booking, and what we saw was slightly different that what we got. The bed we originally looked at was a queen sized bed with a nice pillow top. The bed we en... Read more

Just spent a week at this hotel. Because of overbooking, I was able to sample all three levels of room. The deluxe room was a mini-suite with two televisions and a jetted tub. The mid-range room was a king bed with a nice bath. The economy room was 2 doubles with no window. Prices ranged from 30-48 dollars American per night. Overall, I felt the best value was the mid-priced room. Breakfast was an outstanding buffet with a lot of local favorites. For the record, Vietnamese coffee is amaz... Read more

The hotel has had a recent refreshing, is clean and well situated a few minutes walk from Binh Tan market. Also plenty of places to dine nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. Most standard rooms don't have windows but pay a few more dollars for a back room with large windows.
