The hotel is formulaic but that's not a bad thing - the rooms are small but clean, functional, with good climate control, WiFi and plenty of hot water. There are convenient quick-stop grocery stores and restaurants in the immediate area. I didn't find much else of interest to do within walking distance, but I only stayed one night so did not venture very far from the hotel. I was very disappointed with the breakfast buffet which was almost entirely out of food at 09:00. On check-out, I showe... Read more

Although the hotel is a bit of a distance from the airport the area is well worth a visit. It is a short taxi ride into the centre and there are taxis outside the hotel or around the corner at the convention centre. You should really get a bus though! The 102 goes from a few places near The Crescent shopping mall (the Harley Davison garage is over the other side but you need to be on the shopping mall side). The bus takes you right to the central market which is the last stop and costs 7,000 Don... Read more

Closest exhibition hotel. New and clean. Room is small but price is ok. All facility in one. Staff is ok. One thing to complain is about breakfast. 10 used for that is too expensive. Only they got bread and some a few dishes. 5min to walk to exhibition. Free wifi and bathroom has no tub.

I had a recent business trip to Ho Chi Minh and was booked into the Ibis Saigon South Hotel in district 7 just opposite and within walking distance to the SECC. If you are attending an exhibition this is the best hotel to stay at because it's so near the location. My first impression of the hotel was that it gave a very loungey vibe. The music playing was not elevator music, in fact I was quite impressed with the music selection as I love music details. The check in was fast and simple. T... Read more

This hotel may indeed only be 5.5km from central Saigon, as the crow flies. But in practical terms it is quite isolated and there aren't many amenities in the immediate area. Also, the in-house amenities are very limited, with many functions such as bar and catering being provided by an unrelated hotel next door. The quality of the breakfast was bloody terrible. Excessive gristle in the meat, bad coffee and non-existent black tea. And sometimes no bread! SABENA = Such A Bloody Experience Never A... Read more

This is my 1st stay in Ibis Sai Gon South and it was a business trip. Hotel location is very good and ideal for both tourist and business purpose. Hotel room was small but tidy , spacious and bed was comfortable. The only attractive about this hotel was its the buffet on the up-stair it was enough choices as the matter of fact There had been a lot of Asian people joined for the breakfast! Hotel's service generally good in all areas but a bit slow only. Hotel is close to the exhibition across the... Read more

Stayed there for 3 days as my office is very near. + Standard Ibis stuff, nothing to complain. + Quite Area + Excellent Service - Late in the evening, you might not get lot of options for eating - Don't expect any night life near the hotel, for night life in HCMC, you should head to District 1, which is around 5 KM from the hotel. Cabs are waiting outside the hotel and hailing them is not a difficult task.

The location may put off leisure travelers because of its distance from the places of interest in District 1, but I must say there are taxis right outside the hotel waiting, and Uber isnt hard to come by in the area. But nonetheless, I went for this hotel (rather than say a more centrally located budget hotel) because I trust the ibis brand and the international standards it follows. Booking this hotel, I knew what I was getting--a compact but clean room, a comfortable bed, and a filling break... Read more

Returned to this familiar hotel again after a month but was disappointed due to 2 bad experiences. The 1st was the reluctance of giving 2 welcome drink vouchers when there are 2 guest in my booking left a taste of stingy and feeling if the staff had kept the other for herself? The 2nd experience was at breakfast when I was given a unusually small serving of beef noodles. When queried, the staff said they need to keep some for other guest since there is another hour of breakfast. Since when early... Read more

This hotel is clean and the staff are super friendly, but there is nothing to make the hotel special. The rooms are basic utilitarian rooms with no extras. Similar to an economy motel in Canada. The breakfast buffet is also okay with no frills, but again the staff are very helpful. The best asset of the hotel is the central location in District 7, next to the Crescent Mall and the Exhibition Centre. All the staff speak passable English and will do anything to help you. The price is also ex... Read more

This Ibis hotel is very efficient run check in counter with only 2 female staff when I checked in, they even help to unload and bring luggage to the room. The twin bed room is pretty small but it has all the things one needs. Hotel is very quiet, with quite a few eating places around it, there are 2 Japanese restaurant by the side. Robins shopping center is about 700 meters away with a good supermarket "Giant".

Stayed at Ibis Saigon South for an exhibition at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center which is a stone throw away from the hotel. Rooms are neat and clean. Strong wifi in room. Friendly staff and extremely helpful. Hotel has breakfast but no restaurant. However there are plenty of eating options in the vicinity A Vinasun taxi stand is opposite the hotel. However can also get Uber and Grabtaxis in 5 mins 20 mins by taxi to District 1 where there are many entertainment and food optio... Read more

Have staid there for only one night. The room was clean. Size of room and bathroom was absolutely ok. Booked the queen size bed which was very comfortable. Negative was the quality and size of the TV. No HD and really no fun to enjoy a movie. The location is to far away from the city center, in case you want to visit the sightseeing spots.

Hotel New. IBIS standard. Everything in the facility works fine. Well located. Price is not included breakfast. Breakfast is very expensive and very poor in variety. Staff is kind, but act like robots, specially the receptionists who can't decide and don't have flexibility. Definitely you can find better places for better prices.

We used to live in District 7 and always try to stay there when we visit HCMC. About 10 minutes walk from the hotel is Crescent Mall and Crescent Lake with its lakeside cafes and restaurants - beautiful outdoor dining. The area is peaceful, safe and clean - a big contrast to downtown HCMC. The hotel is not luxurious but our room was fully acceptable (admittedly the shower room was small). Breakfast is not included and other reviews suggest it may not be too good (we did not try). But there are c... Read more

Absolutely the best location as just across the street from SECC, the convention center where I needed to be for the motor show. Staffs at the front desk were very sophisticated and kind, helped with opening the entrance door, luggage and elevator with warm words and big smile, it felt welcome and nice. . I was also impressed by breakfast. Such a wide variety of food including famous Vietnamese pho that they cook right in from of you as Ordered. Definitely coming back!!
