We stayed 3 nights in a junior suite 207. It was spacious with small balcony overlooking the Opera House. There was not much noise as described in other reviews probably because the suite is located away from the corner where is the main street. The hotel is very charming and old fashioned. Breakfast is in the courtyard where there are beautiful old frangipani trees. Breakfast is ok. Service was good. It does not have all the amenities of a modern hotel, so if you want big swimming pool and roof... Read more

The hotel from the outside & foyer is gorgeous. The historic building is definitely easy on the eye. Our room was quite large with beautiful antique furniture. When i pulled back the blinds I was a little suprised that behind the glass windows was a corridor inside the corridor. Not a big deal...but maybe good to advise before people booking. We stayed here for one night in April and found it to be exactly how we expected. The location is great - some really good shops close by (local and departmental stores) and our room overlooked the opera house. The room was far bigger than we expected and even though it looked out over the main road we had no problems with noise. The bed was very comfortable and we would stay here agin.

Its almost 150 years old property and still very well maintained. Located in the heart of the city and having buffet breakfast, round the clock coffee house and restaurants. Jacuzzi and Sauna available. Large spacious rooms. Its like an heritage property

Stayed 3 nights here and was looking forward to the old world charm. The decor and feel of the hotel is beautiful, however we were a little disappointed to be staying in an interior room with no exterior windows or balcony. You get what you pay for I guess but I would suggest having seen some of the other rooms that paying the extra couple of dollars for a room with a view would be well worth it. It would be nice if the hotel made this fact clearer during booking as there is no mention of inter... Read more
