This hotel has a fantastic location, very central to so many places including the Opera House, coffee shops, malls, restaurants etc. Room: the room was very spacious, certainly enough space for two people and it even had an extra bed, a lounge area, desk etc. The cupboard space is plenty! The view we had was of the Opera house, if you don't have that view I believe you have a courtyard view. That area hosts many weddings so I am sure it could become noisy so consider that. However, the street ... Read more

The hotel was a sheer grandeur from the outside, and the location was strategic being right in the centre of the city. It was just adjacent to a few shopping malls including Parkson, and nearby to many cafe, restaurants and convenience stores. Almost all the attractions in the city were within walking distance. The interior of the hotel was decorated in colonial style, and their buffet cafe was rather unique and spectacular. The hotel staff was quite friendly and able to communicate well in Eng... Read more

A Beautiful historical milestone of the city. Lower point is the tour to Cu Chi Tunnels booked through the hotel: worst overpriced experience in the 3 weeks in Vietnam, the guide was rude and passive, too busy on his phone or just complaining about his personal matters. I explained this during our honeymoon stay but didn't get any feedback on it.

First I want to state that this is not a modern family luxury hotel for swimming pool lovers, but rather a strict and well renovated classical colonial hotel. For you who want to stay where celebrities have stayed and movies have been recorded, this is the spot to book. Large rooms with wooden interiors, very good breakfast and full service. Maybe the restaurants are on the (too) expensive side. Still well worth to stay here or to visit for the sake of the atmosphere.

A magnificent French Colonial hotel in the Dong Khoi shopping district. Conveniently located within walking distances of attractions like the People's Committee of HCMC, City Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace and Ben Thanh Market. shopping malls like Vincom and Parkson are just round the corner. Cafe hoppers will also be delighted to find many good cafes nearby. Due to its popularity, the hotel has too many wedding dinners and the music could disturb guests staying in the r... Read more

Stayed in this hotel in January 2017 for 3 nights. The location of this hotel is superb, with many of the major sights nearby, and plenty of restaurants / bars around too. The rooms are rich in colonial flair, although the bathrooms are a little worn and dated. The breakfast was good, with lots of choices - both Eastern and Western style. There is a gym and fitness centre ready for use any time until 2300 each night. Overall a very pleasant stay, and I would consider coming back one day!

I thought the hotel was very charming in an old-world sort of way. I was upgraded to the Graham Greene suite on the corner overlooking the Opera house, and did not find it that noisy by late evening. I love the style of the hotel. Furniture in the rooms is Vietnamese, but French doors open up onto little balconies, and the window dressings/draperies were beautiful. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Great location and great value for under $100/night. Breakfast included, and great ch... Read more

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night prior to joining a boat headed up the Mekong. I'm the hotel is very centrally located (next door to the opera house) and on a high-end street where you have numerous international designer stores nearby. It is the oldest hotel in Saigon and has an great deal of charm, however the hotel shows its age. Base boards were cracked and the rooms a little dingy and a bit old fashioned. I know they are renovating the guest rooms but the renovations are not complete an... Read more

I stayed here with a group and to be honest, was kind of creeped out by the rooms. The room I had was huge and the bathroom - awesome (huge tub and nice shower). But the rest of the room was rusty and felt very dated. The staff was ok but also felt they were nickle and diming me on everything (ie. Had a box to send and they made me purchase a full roll of masking tape when all I needed was like, 3 pieces of tape..). I was thankful they allowed me to borrow a pair of scissors instead of making m... Read more
