First the positives: this is a lovely hotel in the perfect location for exploring HMRC district 1. The staff were very friendly and all spoke perfect English. The pool on the roof is amazing!! Now the bad bits: the hotel next door is being renovated so if you are staying on that side u will hear banging & drilling all day & sometimes into the night, I realise this will eventually complete but be aware if you are staying in the next month or so!! Not all the rooms have windows and often the booki... Read more

Nice hotel in great position between the lake and the Old Quarter. Clean, well appointed room, view of brick wall next door not the best, but at least we had a window, ask for a room with a window view if you can. Pool great for cooling off and looking out over the roof tops. Would stay again.

The hotel was comfortable enough. However, we booked based on photos and reviews about the hotel and found it to be not quite what was advertised. The pool? The rooftop bar and restaurant? The tiny rooms? Again, comfortable just very misleading.

Stayed in the grand silverland for a week. Hotel was great nice size room , wifi was great , free afternoon tea was great and a afternoon swim in the pool was very good One tip I can give is that if you get ill go to the international doctor surgery near diamond square about 5 mins taxi ride from the hotel. There is pharmacy near the hotel who will sell antibiotics without a script. These antibiotics are either fake or out of date . Un fortunately I found this a little to late and I Took the... I spent 3 nights at the hotel - I would have moved to another hotel had they not taken full payment prior to my check in! In general the hotel is okay - more of a tourist hotel in a good location. Services leave a lot to be desired - petty things - not replacing the shower gel (which is minute anyway!), not washing the drinking glasses in the room. The spa was great - a big positive! Just arrived in Saigon after staying in 3 other hotels during our 10 day trip to Vietnam and this hotel has been the least impressive. We arrived at 11am and were told one of our rooms were not ready. Thus we decided to take the room key for the available room to freshen up after our flight. Good family hotel, staff very accommodating and helpful - good breakfast and nice accommodation. Assisted with reservations and very welcoming. We were in an 01 room with view of the street, it is a small hotel so intimate, with roof deck and pool. We did not use the spa as too busy sight seeing!

Stayed im this hotel for 3 nights. First impression was the lobby. It looked great. Only to wait over a hour to check in to our pre booked rooms. First walked into the room and the walls were yellow and outdated. I literally felt sick. They asked to upgrade to another room for an additional 30usd per night. I said ill rather check out. So they upgraded for extra 10usd a night. New room was ok. But in my experience, This is not a 4 star.. 3 at most. Breakfast was good. And staff are well manered... Read more

Great central location, we were able to walk to the markets, eating places. We stayed 3 nights and were happy. Though we felt it represented the $ amount we paid - reasonable value for mo... Booked three rooms for a family trip, staying 5 nights in September. Rate on the website was the best available. Transport was waiting for us at the airport which made things so much easier, plus a refreshing cold towel and bottle of water. The hotel has a fantastic, impressive lobby with high ceilings. Check in was very quick for three rooms and another welcome cocktail while we waited the 5 minutes it took. My room was the large suite which was excellent, plenty of room, places to sit and s... For those of you looking for local food - this is a good place to have your lunch and/or dinner.

The Grand Silverland Hotel & Spa definitely has a more boutique style feel to it than that of a resort. It's in a great location in district 1 in Ho Chi Minh city within walking distance to many must-see attractions (i.e. Ben Tanh Market, street food market, war remnants museum, cathedral). There are several Silverlands in downtown Saigon. This one is more expensive, I presume because it is right beside the Ben Thanh Market. This is not at all worth paying for.
