This place is clean, quiet and well situated in district 1. The beds were a bit hard and the breakfast was just ok. I think 3.5 star is more of an appropriate expectation. The hallways had a weird smell to them and smoking is allowed seemingly everywhere except inside the rooms. The spa is very overpriced. Stay here if you find a deal.

A great hotel very close to everything in the city including walking distance to shops, markets and parks. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A lovely rooftop pool which also has a restaurant and bar. We ate at the bbq they put on on a Saturday night- very tasty prawns at a reasonable price. A great breakfast with lots of options available. A big thank you to one of the doorman Mr Quang who took the time to speak with me after my wife had her ha... Read more

We have stayed here for a week. Upon arrival checking in process was easy and we were soon taken to our room. The room was reasonably big, clean and tidy, bed comfortable enough. Bathroom amenities were good, with all the standard necessities replenished on the daily basis. One little thing, shower curtain needed a proper clean as it had dirt at the bottom. When the night came our first problem appeared - it was impossible to fall asleep as the music coming from the rooftop bar next door was unb... Read more

Nice 4 star hotel in great location. We walked everywhere. Rooms are very nice. We had to move after one night as there was some problem in our room, not sure what it was, but that was ok. Just had to move into room next door, which was nicer as it had a street view and a spa bath. Lovely polite staff. Nice breakfast with a lot of variety. Rooftop bar and pool was great after a day sightseeing. Had a meal at the restaurant and it was very nice. Would stay here again.

I have mixed feeling about Edenstar hotel. In general the staff tried to be as accommodating and helpful as possible. However, the hotel simply does not live to 4* expectations. I stayed in different hotels across Vietnam from 3-5* and unfortunately Edenstar was the worst experience. Rooms were very small, paper thin walls and unreliable wifi. We made a complaint to the manger and were immediately upgraded to family suite where room was a lot nicer. Breakfast was ok, not great.

The appearance of the hotel is superb. The rooms are quiet despite how noisy the city is. The breakfast buffet is by far the best. The room was spacious and the bed was good. However, to be a 4 star hotel, they should not have had the following problems that occurred during my stay: 1) lack of hot water early in the morning. It was 7 am and there was no hot water for my shower. When I called and hotel employee came, his response was "no hot water because too early." 2) fitness room only had 5 tr... Read more

We had booked Edenstar for the final night of our family tour of Vietnam and unfortunately it was very disappointing. It is a large hotel and we had booked given its good location, which was one of only a couple of positives about this hotel. When we arrived I had asked about the additional bed I had previously e-mailed about (and had confirmation of), but it wasn't yet in. A few hours later it still wasn't in and rang down to reception to require and they said they were sending someone up s... Read more

This hotel is beautiful, and the service was great . Good variation with the breakfasts, all being delicious. Spent alot of time at the rooftop pool cooling off sipping on cocktails after a day in the heat . Plenty of room up there too . We stayed in a deluxe suite which was very spacious.

Good all-around hotel in this price range. The breakfast buffet is pretty good as far as breakfast buffets go, the roof pool is decent if a little on the small side and the staff is generally excellent. It's also within walking distance (10-30 minutes) of a lot of landmarks.

Pros Good location Clean and tidy room Friendly staff Cons Patchy and unreliable wifi Restaurant food terrible Bathroom floods as tub is away from wall It's just Ok, would I stay here again? Maybe but I would look for other options first. The staff try reasonable hard but English is not that well understood so it would be easy to mistake that for them being unhelpful

Edenstar is conveniently located within district 1, and about a 5-10 minute taxi ride to most tourist destinations within the area. It's comfortable and serviceable, and no complaints except for the sad little hotel gym. Free breakfast included, but I would rather go out for a hot bowl of Pho.

I was pleased about everything with this hotel, however I had a big surprise with the Spa. Do not go there if you are a respectful person. During a body massage the girls asked me and my partner if they could "massage our baby". After declining the offer, they kept insisting. That really killed the vibe of the massage, which was very relaxing until they made it very uncomfortable. The hotel was great though, for the price. Breakfast was excellent. Baby massage offering... This is an excellent hotel. Comfortable, clean and good breakfast. Staff are friendly! Enjoyed the quiet stay here. I would like to commend the staff for their excellent service and great hospitality. Before we step out to walk on our own, the hotel staff reminded us to be careful with our belongings. We did not lose anything but we were fleeced by a taxi driver who made us pay 600,000 VND for a few minutes ride from Ben Thanh Market to Hard Rock Cafe. The taxi driver even locked us up in the... Location ok. Staff weren't exactly proactive in helping us to find food after we arrived late to the hotel due to a delayed flight. Furthermore the room smelled very damp. Other than this the hotel was fine. Decent wifi and air con. Breakfast was fine. Felt clean apart from the damp smell. A bit disappointing given the money spent as we have had some really nice hotels for cheaper during our stay in vietnam.

By previous hotels I've stayed in Viet nam, I actually did not have high expectation. But I can say Edenstar meets the standard quite well, it's not high-end luxury hotel but very reasonable, well-maintained and clean and comfortable. The staffs are very kind and professional, breakfast is satisfying, the swimming pool is better than expected.

The hotel itself was nice and in District 1. The hotel is grouped with a number of other hotels and near a few convenience stores. The rooftop bar and pool were nice and had a great view of the city. The room we had was fairly large and we had reliable wifi. We had breakfast included and it was OK, nothing too special. The best part of the hotel was the tour desk. I stay at the hotel once or twice each year for business. Generally it's ok. The rooms are pleasant... Although no drawer space to put anything. The plug sockets don't really support heavy travel adaptors, which can be inconvenient. If you like to workout when you travel, do not use this hotel. The 'gym' is tiny with a stone tiled floor (just dangerous, frankly) and the only equipment is treadmills and a lat pull down machine. The hotel is beautiful to look at but that is it. We were placed in an incorrect room which the would not change it to the correct bed type. The food was good. Not great but good. The Internet was pitiful . The beds were harder than blocks of cement. The attitude is not service oriented but strictly functional.

Good and clean hotel rather close the the city centre and not far from airport. Free and fast WiFi everywhere in the hotel. Large breakfast buffet and nice roof-top terrace and pool. All the hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help but could be a bit better educated regarding restaurant recommendation. Tours executed by the hotel are well organised and absolutely worth to join. All in all worth to stay here.

This hotel is located a few blocks away from the backpacker area, which means it is quieter there. It is still in walking distance to many attractions such as the war remnant museum, reunification palace, Ben thanh market, post office, and Notre dame cathedral. Ok hotel but a downturn when it came to service compared to all the other Vietnamese hotels we have stayed at our round-trip. Asked for help booking a restaurant, but the lady at the concierge wouldn't call and said that it's just to go there without reservation. Went there and they were full so we had to go to another restaurant. Room was regular, but the bed was built on a wood frame which was making a lot of sound on movement.

Stayed 3 nights here. The first two we got one excellent suite, top of class, but we got another room (we are 4 total) that was QITE NOISY due to a disco bar of the neighbour's rooftop. The last night we changed to a different set of rooms and this time the cleanliness wasn't so good. Mold on the bathroom is something you shouldn't see in such a Hotel. Staff is OK, nothing special.

I stayed here once before, and thought it was great. This time I came back and got a recommended spacious room but with a view into the neighbour building. The breakfast was as expected, the staff was serviceminded and polite BUT; when using the gym, there was a young guy sitting outside the gym, like he had somekind of responsible for that room, but he didn't bother to have focus on the guest when asked for information. He answered while still busy with this cellphone!!!

Incredible hotel for such a good price. Rooms were amazing, roof pool stunning with attentive staff offering drink and food. Breakfast was the best we had experienced in Vietnam, such a wide choice. The western food wasn't as great as the eastern but still great, the best was the fruit! Great location. Taxis outside all the time. They give you a good deal on massages and they were lovely, a bit intense with a little women walking on your back for part of it, but you feel very relaxed after.
