This place is clean, quiet and well situated in district 1. The beds were a bit hard and the breakfast was just ok. I think 3.5 star is more of an appropriate expectation. The hallways had a weird smell to them and smoking is allowed seemingly everywhere except inside the rooms. The spa is very overpriced. Stay here if you find a deal.

A great hotel very close to everything in the city including walking distance to shops, markets and parks. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A lovely rooftop pool which also has a restaurant and bar. We ate at the bbq they put on on a Saturday night- very tasty prawns at a reasonable price. A great breakfast with lots of options available. A big thank you to one of the doorman Mr Quang who took the time to speak with me after my wife had her ha... Read more

We have stayed here for a week. Upon arrival checking in process was easy and we were soon taken to our room. The room was reasonably big, clean and tidy, bed comfortable enough. Bathroom amenities were good, with all the standard necessities replenished on the daily basis. One little thing, shower curtain needed a proper clean as it had dirt at the bottom. When the night came our first problem appeared - it was impossible to fall asleep as the music coming from the rooftop bar next door was unb... Read more

Nice 4 star hotel in great location. We walked everywhere. Rooms are very nice. We had to move after one night as there was some problem in our room, not sure what it was, but that was ok. Just had to move into room next door, which was nicer as it had a street view and a spa bath. Lovely polite staff. Nice breakfast with a lot of variety. Rooftop bar and pool was great after a day sightseeing. Had a meal at the restaurant and it was very nice. Would stay here again.

I have mixed feeling about Edenstar hotel. In general the staff tried to be as accommodating and helpful as possible. However, the hotel simply does not live to 4* expectations. I stayed in different hotels across Vietnam from 3-5* and unfortunately Edenstar was the worst experience. Rooms were very small, paper thin walls and unreliable wifi. We made a complaint to the manger and were immediately upgraded to family suite where room was a lot nicer. Breakfast was ok, not great.

The appearance of the hotel is superb. The rooms are quiet despite how noisy the city is. The breakfast buffet is by far the best. The room was spacious and the bed was good. However, to be a 4 star hotel, they should not have had the following problems that occurred during my stay: 1) lack of hot water early in the morning. It was 7 am and there was no hot water for my shower. When I called and hotel employee came, his response was "no hot water because too early." 2) fitness room only had 5 tr... Read more

We had booked Edenstar for the final night of our family tour of Vietnam and unfortunately it was very disappointing. It is a large hotel and we had booked given its good location, which was one of only a couple of positives about this hotel. When we arrived I had asked about the additional bed I had previously e-mailed about (and had confirmation of), but it wasn't yet in. A few hours later it still wasn't in and rang down to reception to require and they said they were sending someone up s... Read more

Good all-around hotel in this price range. The breakfast buffet is pretty good as far as breakfast buffets go, the roof pool is decent if a little on the small side and the staff is generally excellent. It's also within walking distance (10-30 minutes) of a lot of landmarks.

Edenstar is conveniently located within district 1, and about a 5-10 minute taxi ride to most tourist destinations within the area. It's comfortable and serviceable, and no complaints except for the sad little hotel gym. Free breakfast included, but I would rather go out for a hot bowl of Pho.

I was pleased about everything with this hotel, however I had a big surprise with the Spa. Do not go there if you are a respectful person. During a body massage the girls asked me and my partner if they could "massage our baby". After declining the offer, they kept insisting. Other than this the hotel was fine. Decent wifi and air con. Breakfast was fine. Felt clean apart from the damp smell. By previous hotels I've stayed in Viet nam, I actually did not have high expectation. I stay at the hotel once or twice each year for business. Generally it's ok. The rooms are pleasant... Although no drawer space to put anything. The plug sockets don't really support heavy travel adaptors, which can be inconvenient. If you like to workout when you travel, do not use this hotel. Ok hotel but a downturn when it came to service compared to all the other Vietnamese hotels we have stayed at our round-trip. Asked for help booking a restaurant, but the lady at the concierge wouldn't call and said that it's just to go there without reservation. Went there and they were full so we had to go to another restaurant. Room was regular, but the bed was built on a wood frame which was making a lot of sound on movement.

But above all I was really impressed with the great service provided, and in particular the bellman, a young man called Hoang, who really went out of his way to help me recover my stolen IPhone . Hoang rang the thief more than 10 times on his personnel phone and really try very hard on my behalf to get my phone back. Huang, you are a cred... Read more

The hotel was very well presented and clean. However the bed was hard and uncomfortable. In addition, we often felt ignored by the staff, perhaps because we didn't dress as 'fancy' as other guests and I suspect staff were tip hunting! Though wanting a tip for nothing seemed to be a common theme in Vietnam. Also be warned they take a $50 deposit by credit card at check in that is refunded. Which is fine, except they don't consider that this often costs international customers in bank fees. Hot... Read more

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here recently. The hotel has good facilities (particularly the lobby and pool area). The rooms were clean and spacious. Our hotel room leaked due to severe flooding but they kindly moved us straight away. I also found the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had many options but the restaurant was average. Grand for a quiet meal in. The gym was small and VERY warm (could do with a fan in there). We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is modern and clean in a good location and we found all the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spacious with a huge bed, which was comfortable. Aircon is good and very welcoming in the heat. The rooms are a little noisy though, so I would recommend taking earplugs. We were kept awake by some inconsiderate guests until 3am one night! Breakfast is good, the omelettes were my favourite. The pool is nice and the rooftop bar was good. W... Read more

Had a truly comfortable stay at the hotel. Very modern looking hotel, with an impressive lobby and a beautiful chandelier. The staff at the hotel are absolutely polite and helpful. We arrived early and they were so kind as to allow us to leave our luggage for safe keeping. They even went to the extent of pointing out and highlighting on a map, a few interesting places we can visit/ interesting things we can do while the staff were sorting out our rooms. Given a room that was not as advertised and was instantly disappointed. Felt completely ripped-off after I walked through the door. Everything was dirty. Stains on the walls and bathroom phone. Glasses in the bathroom not even washed. Looked like toothpaste residue was still on it. Some pillow covers still smelled of perfume. My premium city view room was very expensive. I have my assumptions of why I was given one of the worst rooms, but I'm not wasting anymore energy on this place. At most thi... Read more

Edenstar is a very nice hotel situated in the heart of Ho Chi Minh. We got upgraded to a suite as it was our honeymoon. The room was very nice, spacious and very clean with a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Service is great at the hotel and the hot stone massage is awesome and there's a sauna and Jacuzzi at the spa. Price is alright but I wouldn't recommend going to a spa outside the hotel unless you have been there before. Breakfast is quite good with a variety of food and fresh juices. The pool is on... Fairly good location, good services and fast internet services available for free. It would have been solid four stars, except my money was lost/stolen at spa/sauna. Stay away from this area. I carried both credit cards and cash as I was not sure whether or not they will accept credit cards. After using services, about 90% of my cash was gone. I left my clothes in the closet.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. It's a great location, central to everything including the war museum and the markets. There are restaurants all around and a park close by. The pool area is the best bit, on the roof top over looking the city. Would defiantly stay here again

Stayed at the EdenStar while on a trip to Ho Chi Minh City with my dad. For the price the hotel is excellent. The staff are friendly and even with English not being their first language it has not been a problem. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the war remnants museum, and their is a Circle K right down the street. I would definitely stay here again.

Good Value for money, spacious very comfortable room. Good choices of different cuisine for breakfast which was included. Few more smiling staff, in comparison to the general ..not many locals smile. If they smile, watchout, you are about to be ripped off !Close to tourist attractions. Trips to usual tourist spots too expensive, best go to local travel tour guides. If we hadn't been upgraded for the room with the jacuzzi (for our honeymoon), I would have given it a 3 star. Main reason - The breakfast buffet was not 4 star quality. It's open between 6am-9:30am. 1. We arrived at 8:40, we couldn't find a clean table to sit for a few minutes - and the restaurant is quite big. 2. Almost 50% of the food trays were completely empty and weren't refilled for a very long time.. even the bread and the orange juice were empty and I had to go ask from the bar. 3. We h... Read more

The Edenstar is in an ok location behind the BenThanh Market. Rooms are large (we had suite) and roomy (ours with claw-foot spa bath. We had a problem with no hot water to the bath and despite several attemps this was not resolved and from day 2 we were yet again upgraded to a pool view suite. Breakfast was better than average (Pho' was great). The pool is small and difficult for lap-swimmers. All over a graet hotel.

My friends and I stayed at EdenStar for two nights. The hotel is very pretty, large room and bathroom. However, it's unfortunate that the service didn't match that. For starters, they charged us 300%+ when compared to a local taxi for their hotel transportation from the airport to the hotel. The Edenstar could be a potentially brilliant hotel & the amenities, rooms & customer service is all fine, however we had 3 small issues which in the end have added up and caused this rating. Firstly, we had trouble for our whole stay with the water temperature in the shower, it was too hot first and then after having it looked at was too cold. This hotel has spacious room, is modern, has a great location. But unfortunately we got a room with view to a brick Wall (see pic). So do mention this when booking. Also the bathroom is not up to standards of a 4 Star hotel (see pic). Moreover there are more than massages happening in the spa section. As we witnessed this when a couple of ladies in way to revealing skirts came out a room to massage a group of men. This was obvious seen there revealing clothing.
