Very good quality-price ratio. Clean and proper rooms. Gentle staff. The recepcionist, Lala, was very friendly to us and speaks good English. Option of continental breakfast (omelette, fried eggs, ham and butter with bread...). The area is full of restaurants and shops

I prepaid for two weeks. The wifi never worked and the room was like a prison cell with no windows. I had to leave after the second night and the manager would only refund 3 nights (out of 12). Beware when booking on Agoda! The hotel manager has the power to issue a refund if you can't stay. She could have done the right thing but chose not to.

This hotel has 2 buildings inside not so narrow alley and luckily I got the room in the new building. The location is in Pham Ngu Lao street and easy to find. It is actually a good hotel. Newly built / renovated and everything worked well, no major problem regarding the rooms and all technicality. The cute lady named Amber was also really helpful and being nice every time I met her. The problem was with the male staff name Ton. I did late check in (midnight) and the guy seemed very nice and exp... Read more

Even we booked the room in advance, but when we arrived at 01:30am in the early morning as picked up by hotel staff, the receptionist told us due to the air conditioner in our booked room not working,so asked us to checked in the hotel opposite which was very bad, very old and small room without window just like a prison, just for one night then moved back to the Blue River Hotel next morning when they fixed the air conditioners. But I guess because we arrived very late,so they rent out our booke... Read more

The hotel was kind of hard to find. It's located on a side alleyway off of the main road. So it took a while for my wife and I to find it. The attendant at the front desk was very eager to hang onto our passports when we were checking in. It could have been a misunderstanding but she seemed to want to try to find excuses to hold onto them until the next day when we were leaving. I wasn't very comfortable with that so I pressed getting them back. There was no elevator and we were on the 6th floor... Read more

My wife and I arrived at midnight on sunday and was told our room wasn't available because the aircon was broken. They put us in the hotel next door which was disgusting! The room wasn't clean and the shower was over the toilet! Next morning went back to the hotel and asked to see our room. The front desk told us the hot water was broken and the maintenance man decided to sleep in the room instead of us, even though we had already paid for it! We came back at 3:30 in the afternoon and our room s... Read more

My husband and I stayed three nights with Blue River Hotel/Phan Lan. We realized that Blue River also works with Phan Lan, next door, for rooms. We were comfortable, and cool with the AC. Amber helped us with our tours/taxi/flights. Everyone was very hospitable and spoke English very well. They even allowed us to temporarily store our luggage there before our flight, even though we weren't staying the night. Thank you!

It's a nice hotel that exist out of three buildings. We slepped in the building above "laundry funny". Whe received a free update to a new room. Staff: The Staff is ok, but can't remember you or in what room you sleep. Explanation of things to do in Saigon are good. Room: The room was New (for Vietnamese standards). The bedroom was very nice and clean. The bathroom had mold (like every bathroom In Vietnam), cleaning here was not ok... Found an old toothbrush, shower almost above the toilet, an... Read more

I had two nights here and was very impressed with everything from price of room, bathroom, bed was great, tv, air con that wasn't noisey. The staff have all been really helpful. Great location with plenty of options.

We arrived late night at the Ho-Chi-Minh-City Airport and the available pick-up worked out perfectly. The hotel is located close to the major attractions and many food places are nearby. Our room faced the street and had a window which is definitely recommended. Air con worked just fine. The room was simple but fine, the furniture a little outdated but still does the job. The minibar came at a reasonable price. The staff was helpful at all times and organised our bus tickets plus the pick up b... Read more
