Clean hotel with English speaking staff. Staff are very accomodating and helpful regarding our inquiries. The room is clean, good AC, fast wifi connection, bed is soft as well as the pillow. Location is great, near Ben than market & there's a lot of restaurant nearby. What we enjoyed most is the Buffet breakfast. I' ll surely recommend this hotel.

Hard to beat the location. Short walk to so many areas of interest - Ben Thanh Market, Reunification Palace, War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, etc. Front desk staff friendly, and spoke perfect English. Daily b'fast buffet included was good and, although not advertised, you can ask your server for cooked to order eggs or omelets. Note that orange juice at hotels in Vietnam is actually orangeade. I had an inside room with no windows except a very small one over the fridge area... Read more

The staff were not friendly or helpful. The room was below average, worse than other 3 star hotels in Vietnam. We had an early flight from HCMC to Siem Reap so we could not have breakfast before heading to the airport as breakfast started at 6:30am. As we were leaving at 6:40am, when we asked if we could just pick up a couple of pastries for the way, we were denied as we had not requested them to pack breakfast for us the night before. Location is good, but that's the only positive.

Stayed in Blue Diamond Hotel @ Thu Khoa Human Street in District 1 for 3 nights while on a short holiday with my family & friends. This establishment is pretty near the airport. It is not a fancy hotel, 3 Star, with adequate facility for tourist like us. Clean, well maintained room, bathroom and CTV ( basic movies & news channels). The hotel also provides a safe box and mini bar. Staff at the reception counter communicate well in English and helpful with direction and location of eatery. Houseke... Read more

Location of this hotel is wonderful - centrally located near Ban Tenh market and walking distance to the various attractions like the War Remnants Museum. The only let down for my stay here was the staff. While there was a particular staff Matthew who was polite and courteous, the other staff were at best average. Biggest pet-peeve for me was after the buffet breakfast, before we started on our half-day tour to Cu Chi Tunnels. Right before leaving the hotel, I realised that my water bottle was ... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights on way to Phu Quoc. Have stayed in a few 3 star hotels in this central location (near Ben Thanh Market, Reunification Palace, War Museum etc) and this one was easily the best. The beds and furnishings in the room were reminiscent of a far more expensive establishment, and breakfast was excellent. Ho Chi Minh itself, does not have the character of Hanoi, but is still good value for a couple of days.

The hotel located in the heart of district 1 and walking distance access to benh tanh market, street food & other nearby attractions. The room was very clean than cosy. This was my worst stay in Vietnam. The reviews are inaccurate on here. Many reviews are relating to their other signature hotel. The rooms here are dirty and have a musty, mildew smell. They had to move me to 3 other rooms because of filth. I had to wear flip flops in the shower because it looked as though it had not been cleaned. I had stains on the sheet and flies in one room. The walls are not soundproof and you can hear everything in the rooms next to and across from you. The front desk is n... Read more

Location of the hotel is great - just nearby Ben Tenh market and walking distance to various attraction. The downside is the poor staff service. We have went with the hotel pick-up and the driver was late. Our flight was delayed and even so, the driver was no where to be seen. When I called up the hotel the check, they insisted that the driver was already there waiting and insisted that we are at the wrong pick-up location. There is only one exit, where else could we be? The staff is sweet and professional, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I love the breakfast there too. Every time I visit Ho Chi Minh I stay in the hotel, because the location is great, 2 min walk from the market and really closed to everything, if never you are lazy to grab a cab.

Chose the hotel based on price on Agoda. The location was super great, walking distance to most of Saigon's main attractions, many places to eat and tour services. If you are concerned with Halal food, you will find many options on this street, right opposite this hotel there is one. Not all rooms have windows. Breakfast was good and considerate of non pork eaters. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We paid for an upgrade as the reception indicated room we booked was very small for extra bed (which we saw was indeed the case). Room we were upgraded to was very spacious and complete, although it looked a bit run down, but still everything functioning. Location is good, breakfast OK. Staff was friendly, but not close to the other hotels we had in Vietnam. Next time we would try an alternative in the same area.

Hotel is in good location to most of the popular sites and all in walking distance. The market is located right down the street. There are plenty of restaurants in the area also. Staff was friendly and helpful and arranged our tour to the tunnels. The only complaint I have is that on the way back from the tour the guild left our bus because he had another tour and the driver does not drop off you off at your hotel again. The driver dropped passengers off at three locations but most of us had no ... Read more

We had a good time in Ho Chi Minh, the lady manager at the counter is very helpful and directed us to a restaurant that sells a very nice chicken and crab noodle soup. She also drew the directions on a map to the nearby tourist attractions. The hotel is abit old but near to most tourist attractions such as the Ben Thanh Market area, Notre Dame Cathedral and War Remnants Museum. The hotel also offers tea breaks which includes tea and some cakes and fruits, a simple but nice gesture for the guests... Read more

Hotel was clean and well presented. Our rooms had no windows . I would not recommend the food there though. The 1st night we couldn't get wine with our meal even though it was on the menu the second night my son couldn't get a beef meal which was on the menu and again no wine.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Diamond. The staff couldn't do enough to help us, were very professional and personable. The hotel is in a good location, very convenient to the Ben Thanh market and bus station. Walking distance, or if you have luggage, it's a short, cheap ride to the bus station. From the airport, you can take a bus direct to the bus station. Lots of restaurants near by, as well as most of the tourist sites in Saigon. Located centrally with good access to all major attractions, clean well-presented rooms although a bit dated there is a floor by floor modernization program in place, this caused a few inconvenience's but nothing really, work was from 7.30/5pm. We were moved without asking from our room to a v.i.p room which was great. The staff were fantastic and so helpful, from advice, phone calls to sorting out trips etc. Paula the general manager is a FANTASTIC. We will be back. Paul & Mel

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Diamond. It's a basic hotel and has everything you need for your stay. The only down part is that there is a construction next door and you will be hearing noise starting at 8am. And when you land at 1am and want to sleep a little more it really bothers. Breakfast had a lot of options for all tastes and the customer service was perfect.

One of the good hotel that I have been. Not the layout nor the condition of the hotel. It is the people there with excellent service that did the job so well that you will just forget that you have to climb the stairs to the top floor as they are doing the renovation.
