This hotel was a great find and in a far more convenient location than we first thought, everything you would want to see is only a short walk and there are plenty of places to eat and drink within 5 mins from the hotel. Our room on the 2nd floor was clean and a good size and the rest of the hotel was in good nick. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. The rooftop is the stand out feature of this hotel. With a pool, plenty of seating/loungers and a bar its great for those who want to chill out... Read more

All members of the hotel were well trained and very polite. It was walking distance from all attractions so didn't have to call a taxi. On our last day, it rained in the afternoon and we got soaked. We had already moved out of our room as we were leaving that night. The staff offered us a free shower in the spa area, we were very grateful. Rooms were of modern design, comfortable bed, aircon working and a nice bathroom. Breakfast had a selection of western and eastern food, and a chef to cook y... Read more

Location is very close to the Bến Thành Market, and there are quite a few of nice cafes around. The Alagon Saigon is connected to 2 other hotels, 1 newly open Alagon Boutique hotel, which looks rather impressive. The rooftop bar is nice, worth a night to chill and relax. However, you would need to pay separately for the use of pool, sauna and jacuzzi (which is quite weird). Hotel breakfast is average. Room is clean and well maintained, and comfortable.

We stayed here 2 nights and then another before departing for home...we found the staff wonderful..we didnt have any problem with communication...we found sometimes if we wrote something down, it could be put into google and translated..no problem!!....the breakfast had PLENTY of choices, from fruit & cereal to cooked food ...it was all beautiful....our room was clean and roomy...a little noise from the exhaust fans below but we rose everyday at 6.30 anyway....city hotels can always be a little ... We stayed here on the first night of our Vietnam Cycle Tour. It is a great little hotel, pretty modern. Very clean, shower was great. Beds were comfy. It was simple but adequate. The breakfast was pretty good, the usual rice dishes and fruit available.

This hotel has been rated 3 and half stars but really judging by the standards encountered in Vietnam should really be 4 stars and well deserved. Nothing was missing and from the HK team to bell boy , all the staff rated exemptionly well.Rooms are clean well kept and all services works properly.Spa is really good and staff well trained and nothing is to much trouble.A well run hotel and compliments to the management.

I stayed there for 4 nights. I really love the staff specially the House Keeping, very prompt and amazing service. The reception are also very friendly. I loved the breakfast , nice variety in food. The Jacuzzi was not up to the mark. As the water was not Luke warm or they way it should be in Jacuzzi. So it's not correct by the hotel to publicize it as Jacuzzi. It's very close to most of the spots. So you can save money and just walk. Had some issue of ants in my room , they changed it. So it's... Read more

Nice hotel in the city centre, rooftop bar, great breakfast buffet and a popular bar with life music in the basement. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and every afternoon option for a high tea although the pastries are a bit plain. Its great for exploring the city.

Very nice hotel with all that you would need. Great service provided from reception. Better service at the pool would be great, but we still had a great time drinking on the rooftop just not many staff to order from. Location is perfect here in District 1 - STREET FOOD MARKET A MUST!

Currently at Alagon... Stayed here for 4 nights... as we did not have comparsion to other hcm hotel, not sure if it is good or bad for the price. Generally speaking, the room are okay/clean (stayed at 2nd and 5th floor, seem 5th floor has be refurbished), location is okay (walking distance to a lot of sightseeing sights). Watch out when you book Alagon as they have 4 different hotels with diff grading/price. Make sure you book the one you have been checking out.

Alagon Saigon Hotel (Hoang Hai Long Htl - old name). I had tried a few hotels in HCMC, 3-4 stars. This hotel is part of the group hotels of Silverlands as well. They used different names and have several hotels range from 2-4 Stars. Some of theirs hotels are quite deceiving. Judging from personal experience currently. Alagon Saigon only 3 Stars but pretty good for the price you are paying. They have 3 wings here, North, East and South that joined together . However, managed by 3 different manag... Read more

This was our last hotel stay in Vietnam, where we stayed for two nights. As others have mentioned, the hotel is quite large and has multiple wings. We ended up using the elevator at the back of the hotel, in the western breakfast room, to access our room. The room itself was spacious, clean, comfortable, and nicely outfitted with all the basic amenities. Our room was upgraded at no extra cost, but I forget to and from which. Though, the gym wasn't very well equipped. Breakfast spanned across ... Read more

Overall, our stay here was good. In a very good location, just a kilometre away from the main tourist sites. The rooms are fairly spacious, and kept in a good order. However, when we went to the rooftop to use the pool we were told we had to pay $13 each!! The neighbouring Alagon D'Antique hotel got to use the pool for free but the guests who are staying in the hotel that houses the actual pool had to pay that much, which seemed absolutely ridiculous! I don't think I would stay here again due to... Read more

The moment I entered the hotel building I knew that I made a right decision by selecting this hotel. I was greeted with a lovely friendly receptionist Chloe, she offered me a welcome tea. All other staff including housekeeping and porter were very helpful and done their best. Executive Room was very big with two bathroom which surprised me. It is listed as 3 star hotel but believe me it has 5 star facilities. Friendly staff, huge selection of food for breakfast and crazy bar with live orchestra.... Read more

The people of Alagon are amazing. Nothing was ever to hard and they are always on hand to serve. The location is perfect. There is no traffic noise & we will definitely stay here again next year. Special mention goes to Andrew Tram, who could not be more helpful in assisting us with our next part of our journey.

Be careful some of the cheap rooms are very pokey leaving room for a bed and not much else. Fortunately because noisy work was going on we asked to be upgraded. Then had a more realistic room. Overall great service, clean rooms and a nice little rooftop bar. They also held a large bag while we went south for a week, so came back for 2 more nights before flying out.

We stayed 2 hotels in Saigon. I liked the Alagon Saigon hotel than the c other I chose. Very comfortable bed and pleasant smell in the room. The swimming pool, jazzcuzi, fitness centre and aroma therapy rooms make perfect to stay. The breakfast is also good and many choices for different nationality. We can taste the Vietnamese breakfast dishes as well. We chose a tour from the hotel desk and it is also recommendable. The tour price is reasonable and fixed. I don't have a bad thing to say about this gem. The rooftop bar is nice as is the rooftop pool and jacuzzi....simply decadent! Wifi was super good and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The air conditioning was perfect and the beds comfy. We only stayed one night here but could have stayed a week.

Everything went smoothly here. We didn't want anything too expensive but we also didn't want to stay at a lodge or backpackers. Alagon was a great pick. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean, and the location was great! On top of this, the rooftop is very nice. Great hotel for a great price!

I really wanted to rate this hotel higher as the location is great, but we weren't able to get a single peaceful night of sleep in the 5 nights we stayed here. There are construction going on, even at past 9pm. The doors are thin and you can hear people walking and talking. There was also a night we came back into the room and it smelt really bad. I definitely will not be staying here again. They do have a decent breakfast spread, however, on 3 days we had to wait 20 minutes just to get a t... Read more

Let's get one thing clear. The Alagon has two hotels pretty much side by side and connect via the ground floor. One is 3 star and it's sister is 4 star. If you book the basic 3 star, that's what you get. It's no good moaning on trip advisor that you couldn't use the facilities provided for its neighbouring hotel. However, we booked a queen room within the 3 star which was a little more expensive, but then had certain facilities of the 4 star accommodation. The staff were friendly and attentive,... Read more
