This hotel was a great find and in a far more convenient location than we first thought, everything you would want to see is only a short walk and there are plenty of places to eat and drink within 5 mins from the hotel. Our room on the 2nd floor was clean and a good size and the rest of the hotel was in good nick. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. The rooftop is the stand out feature of this hotel. With a pool, plenty of seating/loungers and a bar its great for those who want to chill out... Read more

All members of the hotel were well trained and very polite. It was walking distance from all attractions so didn't have to call a taxi. On our last day, it rained in the afternoon and we got soaked. We had already moved out of our room as we were leaving that night. The staff offered us a free shower in the spa area, we were very grateful. Rooms were of modern design, comfortable bed, aircon working and a nice bathroom. Breakfast had a selection of western and eastern food, and a chef to cook y... Read more

Location is very close to the Bến Thành Market, and there are quite a few of nice cafes around. The Alagon Saigon is connected to 2 other hotels, 1 newly open Alagon Boutique hotel, which looks rather impressive. The rooftop bar is nice, worth a night to chill and relax. However, you would need to pay separately for the use of pool, sauna and jacuzzi (which is quite weird). Hotel breakfast is average. Room is clean and well maintained, and comfortable.

This hotel has been rated 3 and half stars but really judging by the standards encountered in Vietnam should really be 4 stars and well deserved. I stayed there for 4 nights. I really love the staff specially the House Keeping, very prompt and amazing service. The reception are also very friendly. I loved the breakfast , nice variety in food. The Jacuzzi was not up to the mark. As the water was not Luke warm or they way it should be in Jacuzzi. So it's not correct by the hotel to publicize it as Jacuzzi. It's very close to most of the spots. So you can save money and just walk. Had some issue of ants in my room , they changed it. So it's... Read more

Currently at Alagon... Stayed here for 4 nights... as we did not have comparsion to other hcm hotel, not sure if it is good or bad for the price. Generally speaking, the room are okay/clean (stayed at 2nd and 5th floor, seem 5th floor has be refurbished), location is okay (walking distance to a lot of sightseeing sights). Watch out when you book Alagon as they have 4 different hotels with diff grading/price. Make sure you book the one you have been checking out.

They used different names and have several hotels range from 2-4 Stars. Some of theirs hotels are quite deceiving. Judging from personal experience currently. Overall, our stay here was good. In a very good location, just a kilometre away from the main tourist sites. The rooms are fairly spacious, and kept in a good order. However, when we went to the rooftop to use the pool we were told we had to pay $13 each!! Let's get one thing clear. The Alagon has two hotels pretty much side by side and connect via the ground floor. One is 3 star and it's sister is 4 star. If you book the basic 3 star, that's what you get. It's no good moaning on trip advisor that you couldn't use the facilities provided for its neighbouring hotel. However, we booked a queen room within the 3 star which was a little more expensive, but then had certain facilities of the 4 star accommodation. The staff were friendly and attentive,... Read more

Aircon temperature could not be set n was freezing cold even tried to set at 23 C . The window faced a big advertisement board with bright blinking light but the curtain could not be properly pulled to close . Didn't have a good night sleep . Staffs were very hospitable and always ready to assist. When we enquired about SIM card, the night staff offered to purchase it for us. Whenever we returned to the hotel after every shopping trip, there will always be someone that will rush to us to assist with our shopping bags. When we requested for iron and ironing board, we were informed that the hotel does not provide iron and ironing board. We were slightly upset, however the next day, both the iron and ironing board were placed in the ro... Read more

Lovely hotel in a handy location. $US10 by taxi from the airport and the ride was pure entertainment! Only 2 blocks from the market so great for shopping. Lots of restaurants close too. We were upgraded at no charge. Great facilities, new bathroom. Best breakfast in 2 weeks plus free high tea

Great position, we walked everywhere. The airport transfers were great and staff were super friendly. The hotel was lovely, the day spa is nice though communal unless you go private rooms. Roof top bar and pool were great! Good city view. Breakfast: good just a typical breakfast but did the job Room: not huge but well air conditioned, they fixed problems we didn't even know we had! clean and tidy. Bed was a little hard but still had great sleeps whilst here. We'd stay here again if in the c... Read more

Great comfortable hotel! We had the executive room on the 8th floor with two bathrooms and king size bed. The breakfast was great and had a good variety of western and local food with a great fruit bar. The rooftop pool was fantastic for a swim and some relaxation in the middle of the day to escape the heat. Location was very convenient with many food options, coffee shops and tourist attractions walking distance. Would definitely stay here again and the rate was good as we booked well in advanc... Our stay was fantastic, room was great, service impeccable, hotel was lovely. We had a trip organised for us by the hotel at the last minute, the price was competitive and was well organised, would recommend this hotel .

We got upgraded to junior suite because of late check-in. Which was not really a problem to us but welcomed the gesture. Room spacious, bed very comfortable. Bathroom fine. Staff very attentive. Breakfast basic. Rooftop with small swimming pool welcome retreat after spending day in hot weather. Priced perhaps a little too high up market, (small comment).

This was our first stop in our honeymoon through Vietnam. I'll keep it short and sweet. Nice room, 2 bathrooms which was odd but very welcome when you're getting used to the food! Rooftop pool and jacuzzi was lovely. All staff were friendly and courteous though not many spoke great English. Breakfast was a massive spread, delicious food and had no issue with Us taking some pastries up to our room to snack on later. All in all a great stay

One expects a hotel to live up to its advertised services. They advertise express laundry 5 hours. I called at 7 for a pickup. 15 minutes later no pickup. Call back, reception says laundry cannot do. It takes one day. I say but express is five hours. Okay. They call laundry. It is now 7:20. Now the answer is cannot do because it is less than five hours to checkout time at noon. Well of course you bloody idiots. You bumbled for half an hour and so no time. Service score 0.

The hotel is centrally located (as central as central can be) for most tourist / business purposes. It is near Starbucks in District 1. While its not a five star by any means, it isn't as bad as some of the shady ones in the bylanes. Enough shops around the place to get anything you want. What you pay extra in price (about $15 above the market), you save in convenience and time. Breakfast has large variety of south-east asian items (plus the regular milk/juice/eggs/bread combo). Wouldn't suggest... Read more

Second time we have stayed at this property. Once again, great service!! Lovely room, very spacious. There are about 3 Alagon hotels all sort of ajoining....... different entrances but you seem to be able to check in and out of any of them. There is a lovely roof top bar and pool, a very welcome cold beer at the end of a long days walking. There is also a spa on the 10th floor where massages were very well priced. Breakfast was included, a bit of western food and lots of asian, there was still m... Read more
