I stayed in a superior double room for one night. The room rate was really cheap. However, the room has no window, and its wall is very thin. I could hear the sound of elevator and hotel's telephones installed at the hallway. I don't mind about this because I paid quite a cheap price,. I just wish that the hotel had made it clear on the booking website. Surprisingly, the breakfast buffet, which was included with the room, was really great. It comprised traditional Vietnamese dishes cooked bette... Read more

I just spent 01 night in Ho Chi Minh city and I chose Alagon Central as my accommodation. This hotel has a very good location, walking distance to almost all famous places in HCMC (like Ben Thanh market, Bitexco building, Church, Post Office...). Clean room, strong wifi, nice view cafe rooftop bar. I really like their coffee at rooftop. Yummy. What's a pity that we can't use the jacuzzi. Maybe next time we should stay longer. The hotel is quite busy so we need to wait for reception when checkin... Read more

Near to Ben Than market and Saigon Square around 5 to 10 mins. Price is a bit higher compared to hotels at Pham Ngu Lao area but facilities are better. Booking directly on thier website is a better option as the price is cheaper with free hotel pick up for 3 nigth stay and also a drop off for 5 night stay. Room was clean and appreciated the room decoration upon our arrival for our wedding anniversary. City view while having a drink on the roof top bar. Sauna and outdoor jacuzzi is also availab... The Hotel is centrally placed and comfortable and convenient, with many of the must see's in the walkable vicinity but what makes it special are the staff who are fantastic Quintette, the guest relations manager in particular was an epitome of customer service and hospitality. She went above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful stay. Kenneth from the front desk was excellent as well Definitely recommend a stay here when in Ho Chi Minh!

Stayed for 2 nights end of April. Overall a decent hotel for the money. Breakfast was great, alot of variety even though we went in straight from a night out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location, close to Ben thanh market and Chill Sky Bar.

Great location in HCMC. Standard room without real window but very clean and quite spacious, everything is in there, bathroom very decent with big bathtub. The jacuzzi (too hot...) on the roof top is a must, with some nice cocktails in happy hours. Breakfast is not the best but this is detail for me. Saigon has so much to offer. And this hotel is a perfect gate for it.

We pay around 425.000rupiahs ( 566,000 Vietnam Dong), get a well maintained room on the fifth floor. The location of the hotel is in downtown, just a 10minutes walk to Ben Thanh Market. The hotel is facing the New World Hotel. It is also close to The Cathedral, Post Office, Saigon Square etc, I am also enclosing some photos. The receptionists are helpful and friendly, especially Ms Sunny Quinh(I may write her name wrong), she understands English well. I always love the buffet breaksfast there... Read more

We visited the Hotel last year in January we booked it last minute and the only room available was the basic one(i don't remember the reference on the booking) The are in an older building next to the one you actually enter and are kind of impressed. Thank god we only stayed one night the room is extremely small. Don't even think of going there if you are claustrophobic. We passed outside another room which probably had ordered room service and the plates were outside the room both days The l... Read more

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel was good and staff were friendly. Breakfast had a selection on local and western food. The bar downstairs was good with happy hour 5-8 buy 1 get one free on wine, beer and cocktails. It also has live music from about 9. The rooftop bar has nice views and has a nice atmosphere. I wish I had the chance to use it more. We didn't use the gym, pool or jacuzzi but it all looked very nice. The location was good and central with most things within a 10 minute wa... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our Vietnam holiday. The hotel was a little confusing at first. We checked in and were led through two separate restaurant areas to the elevator. Turns out the hotel is split into two sections(one of the restaurants and the pool were available for the higher star section). So even though our room was in one section we had to leave our key at reception in the other. The room itself was quite nice. Decent size and clean. There was a smal... Read more

Everybody in the hotel was polite and helpful, but Miss Quinneth Layba stood out for going the extra mile in helping us. She gave us valuable tips on how to get around Ho Chi Minh and assisted us with currency exchange right when we needed it most. This hotel comes highly recommended! Other things worth noting about this hotel - the location is excellent, it is very near the key tourist destinations, the rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast food is delectable!

Rooms were a good standard and bathrooms were well cleaned and shower was of good quality. Great bar close by and the brink prices were good

The hotel is in a great location being walking distance to Ben Thanh market, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and Museum. I have stayed there a couple of times in both the 3 star and 4 star rooms and found them clean, good size, very comfortable with good stock of shampoo, soap etc. The buffet breakfast is a winner catering for most international tastes. I picked a room that had two bathrooms which was great since my friend and I did not have to share bathroom for the first time. Nice rooftop bar with a Jacuzzi. The hotel is centrally located. I will definitely will go back to Vietnam and will stay at Alagon Hotel again. I

We stayed at Alagon Central a couple of times. It's a strange place that combines 4 older hotels into one, creating a maze-like mega hotel. There's a rooftop pool that costs US$10 to gain access to, which is a bit odd. Breakfast is a very average buffet and the rooms a similarly uninspired. One good thing is the small rooftop bar which has an outstanding view of the city skyline. The central location of the hotel is also handy for those who like to duck out a visit district one's great restauran... Read more

Not sure if we stayed here or the other Alagon's as there are about 4 in one spot. However, nice central hotel very close the the markets. Roof top bar is nice but expensive, breakfast was great and the staff are helpful. Little bit noisy but this is like most HCMC stays. Good Hotel for a short stay in HCM.

My family had a nice several days in Saigon staying at Alagon Central. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Our only disappointment was to find out after booking that the pool and spa cost so much extra to use. We didn't bother. Otherwise we had none of the problems other reviewers had mentioned. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous. A metered ride to and from the airport costs less just paying for it rather than through the hotel.

I stayed at Alagon Central Hotel & Spa couple days in July 2016. Outside look very clean but when I check into my room. It's look like a place where that was abandoned. Room is dirty, wall paper is peeling off and bathroom also very dirty. Also the spa there is a waste of money I don't recommended. This hotel doesn't deserve and 3 stars.

We booked this hotel as our last night of our honeymoon, to treat ourselves at the end of a 3 week backpacking in Vietnam. checked in quite late as had a flight. When we checked in they were a little rude, maybe because we were backpackers. The room was big clean, 2 big bathrooms for some reason. The pool was freezing, thought it might be warm in the morning but wasn't. The jacuzzi was nice that evening, it was only in the morning I realised how dirty it was! The hotel is in the city centre and if you upgrade you get a pretty basic, but spacious room (we ended up having to as the booking site we used forgot to mention that the cheaper rooms do not have windows). Unfortunately the hotel charges $9 to use the pool and half of the machines in the fitness centre were broken (as the belt on the treadmill was almost worn out it was only possible to walk or run very slowly and you couldn't adjust the height of the seats on the bikes which is an issue if you... I booked the hotel through Agoda. The first photo is a lovely rooftop pool. No where on my reservation did the hotel mention that there was a $9/pp charge to use it. The rooms were small and cramped and one of our two rooms had only a tiny interior window. There were cracks in the door of that room so that people could see in from the hall (we hung towels over the door). The customer service representative was very nice when I complained, but I feel strongly that the hotel misrepresents it... Read more

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel in the past 2 years. It's centrally located on a very busy road but the rooms don't reflect that noise. However this time I booked through Booking.com and didn't realise that the deluxe room was an interior room! Next time I'd choose the superior room. The first room I was allocated was #1030. 10th floor and right beside the 2 east wing elevators! Noisy and quite claustrophobic! After 2 nights I moved to 3rd floor 304 room. It may have been a l... Rooms are comfortable, food can be hit & miss, staff are great and the cherry on the cake is the roof top Jacuzzi and bar. Slap bang in the middle of District 1 and a stone's throw from the Ben Than Market where you can get your haggle on for some garments or just chill with a few Saigon beers and a plate of the local fare.
