This is a very reasonable Hotel close to Hanoi's old quarter and a short walk to the lakeside area. Yes it is a busy and noisy street in front of the Hotel - but thats Hanoi, just be careful crossing the roads as cars and especially motorbikes don't stop. In front and across the street are many small restaurants and cafe's and to the right around the corner street is a convenience market. The Hotel staff are extremely polite and friendly. My room was spacious, clean with 2 single beds joined tog... Read more

Stayed here for three nights upon arrival in Vietnam. Room was updated and clean. It is on a busy street but the rooms are in back and very quiet. Breakfast was good with varied items and cook to order eggs. Staff was welcoming and professional. Checked luggage for one night while at Halong Bay with no problem. I really liked location close enough to walk to Old Quarter or West Lake area.

Stayed as family of 4 in a family room. Cramped and dirty with poor bathroom and facilities. Only time able to shower was when water poured through ceilings from bathroom above. Conveniently located and staff try their best but overall best avoided.

I feel this hotel is up to western standards. I had two nights accommodations although not consecutive. My first time I had a king size bed and the second night a California king size bed which has more real estate in it that what one or two people need. The staff were super friendly and western breakfast served buffet style. There was an ample selections of fruits, rice, vegetables and eggs cooked to order along with meat, congee and assorted breads. Coming from Korea I welcomed this breakfast... Read more

We spent three nights at the Skylark and found it was a great base for exploring the city. It offered all you would expect for its star rating and the staff were excellent. Breakfast had sufficient choice and was an adequate start for the day. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Tip: ask for rooms at the back where it is quieter; use Uber for getting about if you need to; you can leave luggage while you head into Halong Bay. We would stay here again.

We stayed one night as a stop gap but were not disappointed the hotel is not particularly smart or elegant but is clean , well located with very friendly and helpful staff the rooms are not luxurious but we couldn't expect that for the the price , the bathroom however was spacious with an excellent rain shower one criticism would be there do not appear to be any English news channels on the TV but that's minor . All in all a nice simple hotel for a low price

The service here is great. Hotel for the price is great as well. I would stay here again. Staff is very friendly and helpful with with anything we needed. We often found our selves at the bar chatting with the bartender and other staff from the hotel. They would tell us places to eat and great bars to check out.

Very pleased with this centrally located hotel. Clean and confortable surroundings. Lots of variety of food for breakfast but had to ask for cheese, They don't leave any out as a matter or course. Close to many ATMs, concenience stores and across from a small park. Can be noisy early in the morning but when in Vietnam, you will want to get and see the early morning action. It's worth it. Staff are very helpful and most have excellent English. Small bar on the second floor but not used many... Read more

Overall, this hotel is qualified for 3.5 star hotel, with western decoration, nice staff, small swimming pool on the top floor is one of rewards to us during stayed in hotel and especially, like its location the most because, it is situated in right place of Hanoi's center, 5 minutes walk to night market in Old Quarter and 15 minutes to visit other attraction areas.

My travel agency recommended this hotel to me as a 3 star hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the hotel actually had the standards of a 4 star one. The twin sharing room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also very clean, but I could never figure out how to use the jacuzzi during my stay. Breakfast was not outstanding, but it did the job. The location is also great as it is located on Phan Dinh Phung street and is only a few minutes walk to Hanoi's old quarter. Howeve... Read more
