Great hotel for exploring Hanoi. Staff were amazingly helpful and welcoming. Provided personal escort to local pharmacy for cough medicine. We were Surprised in our room with a special cake and bunch of roses to celebrate our honeymoon. Stayed for 5 nights and staff were always inquisitive and suggestive for our daily itineraries. Hotel perfect for exploring old quarter and west lake, however do not go here for the pool and gym facilities.

We stayed at the Skylark hotel on arrival in Hanoi, and it was perfect! We had booked the apartment room (no. 802), it was very large, with a kitchen, large bathroom (with whirlpool bath), sofa, bedroom - all very clean, quiet and comfortable, we slept really well. We could also enjoy the swimming pool several times - very refreshing after the journey and the outside heat. It's quite small and the room is hot but it was enough and we loved it - especially as there was no one else using it! ... Read more

Stayed only one night but we needed a base while we waited for our 20:30 train. The hotel gave us access to a very nice rest room and their swimmers pool for the whole day at additional charge. Even provided towels and toiletries. Also very good aircon in a city that bakes in June.

In all of our travels throughout Vietnam, the experience we had at the Skylark Hotel in Hanoi was one of the best we've had so far. The staff was very accomodating and welcoming and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable-- especially Mr. Tam and his infectious smile and energetic spirit. Ms. Van was also memorable with her sweet and kind gestures. We were made to feel like a part of the family. The room that we stayed in was spacious and sophisticated in decor. We stayed at the Skylark Hotel for 2 days at the beginning and 2 days at the end of our holiday. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and if anything needed sorting it was done promptly. The rooms and bathrooms were a great size, nicely decorated and nice and clean. The pool on the 9th floor was great - overlooking Hanoi. It wasn't huge but it was perfectly adequate for a swim and cool down and the kids loved it. It was also almost unique in Hanoi in that it was indoors; a definite ... Read more

My hosts recommended this hotel during a business trip. The location is nice as it is very close to the Old Quarter main streets. The rooms are well kept and the property is clean. As a business traveller I didnot like the following - 1. Poor wifi 2. Poor cable 3. The breakfast is a 3/10 4. The restaurant is non-existent 5. Noisy corridors and noise from upper levels permeate to the floor below. It caters more to the Vietnamese traveller and budget vacationer.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff at this hotel! The manager kindly offer all the services and tours around Ha Noi for us which was very much appreciated. All the staff were very friendly and the room was very spacious with a huge window looking into the park! I would recommend staying at this hotel because it is around all the major attractions and especially the night market :)

I have a big impression with its staff they were very friendly and especailly, the door man even took me cross the road whenever i was about to do it. For hotel, the location is right next to old quarter and easily access the most popular historical vestages in hanoi. Generally, this hotel is deserved to be highly recommended to everyone

These guys meet you before you've got your bag from the taxi! Also one of few hotels with pool, you need this if coming to Hanoi. Small but refreshing. Nice clean rooms, 15min walk from the turtle lake and the fountain. Short walks to all the crazy streets with stalls etc. within 5min or less bakery, mini markets. Yes, worth the pool, as we upgraded for the pool. Service and looking after bags while on your, excellent.

Very well located hotel, walking distance to most transactions. Has a closed in small pool to cool off. If you have a front room request a high floor to negate the road noise. The only negative is that they have cordial type juices for breakfast. Real fruit juices would have been nice. The mini bar is only a cooler but ice is readily available from the bar.

Good modern hotel and had a light spacious room for 3. Staff all attentive and welcoming. Pool indoors and small but refreshing after a day sightseeing. Is on the western edge of the old quarter so less hustle and bustle. We walked in a couple of times but also used a taxi to get to the lake, mausoleum complex and temple of literature. Good location to access all areas of Hanoi, but right on edge of old quarter. No problems with tour drop off though.

The only let down was that the hotel was doing maintenance works and people were smoking in the lobby so we got the smell. Breakfast was also good. Wasn't very keen on breakfast, not that much for western taste, we mainly had bread and jam - but we are in South East Asia, so to be expected. The food from the bar menu was nice.
