Lovely hotel at an excellent cost in an unbeatable location right in the heart of old town hanoi. Also they have fast, free wifi and great customer service, what else could you want. Stayed there for 2 nights, would happily stay again.

Room was good size although there was a bit of noise from the drainage in the night. Staff were very friendly and we were offered great service and a shuttle to the airport. This hotel was in a great location to get to the lake and can't really complain for the price, was a bargain for what it was

For the price that we have paid, we are very happy with what we got. Large room with balcony. Bathroom is quite basic, but everything works like they should. Worth mentioning is a staff/owner named Son, really made us feel at home.

The hotel is a great bargain, the staff is helpful, and the complementary breakfast is more than adequate. The rooftop hotel offers great views and there is a ton of shopping within walking distance. My real complain with the hotel was the last night of my stay, the night before my early morning flight, there was a constant banging - likely nearby construction - that would not stop. When I called the front desk to complain they said they would look into it but the banging didn't stop for at leas... Read more

I only stayed here for about 4 hours in the middle of the day, but my time was important! I had just arrived by myself on the overnight train, and had to catch a flight mid-afternoon so I was wandering around. I started feeling really sick though, and nearly fainted a few times. Found this hotel and the manager helped me so much. They got me in a room quickly to rest, booked a cab for my flight later, made me some lemon tea and water, and were very comforting! Thank you so much to the staff here... Read more

Honestly this is a gem of a hotel. We stayed for one night then for another two after our boat trip to Ha Long Bay. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are genuinely so helpful, attentive and friendly. From them sitting down to ask what we planned on doing to showing us places to eat and see on a map with our complimentary glass of juice, to the fact that as we were leaving on our last night at 5am, they had made us a simple packed breakfast to bring to the airport with us. My stay at Rising Dragon was quite an experience. First of all, The location is excellent. The rooms are big and The breakfast is good. But The thing that really makes this hotel stand out among all others is the staff. I never met such a warm and welcoming hotel staff. They actually feel like family by the time you leave. They will go out of their way to help you with anything. When you first arrive they'll sit you down and write out on a map where everything is to help you get your bearings st... Read more

I stayed in this hotel about 6 months ago and was impressed with how helpful the staff were so when I returned to Hanoi I booked in again. They remembered me straight away and treated me and my partner like family. Again they were so helpful in organising flights, tour and other matters for us. Great location close to lake and night/day life. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for good value and very friendly, helpful staff.

Yes, this is centrally located and the staff were very friendly and very helpful - always willing to help. Bedrooms were quite big and spacious. Our room was next the the huge kitchen extractor fan and they willingly moved us to a quieter room. Breakfast was nice and fresh with enough variety.

We've stayed here for some nights and always felt very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helps you whenever possible. Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast includes a little buffet and the usual pancake or pho. A plus are the good prices you get on Halong Bay Cruises booked via this hotel, as they belong to the same company group as one of the ship operators!

very nice, clean hotel but most of all with excellent reception service, all the staff is characterized by friendliness and helpfulness for any need. The central location is convenient to move and reach any place in Hanoi. I highly recommend it. really good breakfast too

After arriving at our pre book hotel that apparently doesn't even exist anymore we had to find the closes hotel to stay, we wanted to stay at rising dragon for a standard room, the staffs were really nice and generous ! They didn't have anymore standard room so they upgrade us to a deluxe room for a standard price! Best hotel experience ever! Free breakfast too! Not sure about the so called "English" breakfast though. Overall the hotel and staff are the best!

Good location for the old quarter. Staff pleasant and gave help when required. Would pass on breakfast if I were to stay there again. Food poor and the breakfast room is stuffy. Rooms are tired plus the bed was so hard. They let us leave our bags securely for a trip to halong bay which was helpful. It is cheap but I'm not 100% sure that it represents good value for the price.

We stayed here for three nights. I had accidentally booked the wrong nights but emailed David who had no issues with amending our booking unlike who where not helpful. David arranged our trip to ha long bay and didn't request payment until we returned. The staff were very helpful and also booked our train tickets and took us to the rail station and showed us to our carriage. I would recommend this as a good central location to stay in Hanoi, yes it compact but for the money it is good... Read more

Staff are very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to assist me and help plan trips of the area. The hotel is in a very central location. Room was comfortable and good size. There is good selection for breakfast.

Rooms were great, just what we needed for our last night in Vietnam. The staff were very accommodating in our need for late check out and helping us to arrange getting to the airport. The rooms were clean - just be warned we travelled as friends and the toilet and shower room had glass doors - they were frosted but none the less good to be aware

We booked this hotel through tripadvisor and ended up at the hotel and they told us we didn't have a reservation even though we had a confirmation email saying rising dragon!!! They told us a story that another hotel is 2 doors down and we had to stay there, which was an awful hotel. We booked through travel republic and I certainly would. It advise doing the same!!
