Whilst the Larosa Hotel is in an older quarter of the bustling city of Hanoi, the accommodation was ideal for a brief stop-over. The rooms were reasonably large, the facilities clean and of an acceptable standard; albeit the shower is within a bath, and the service very good. The bed that was within our room was the largest I've ever seen (even bigger than a king-size bed) and could sleep an entire family. All of the amenities required of a touring group were provided and the restaurant (located... Read more

We were there for 3 nights. The rooms were clean but very small. You need to be careful or you will hit the flat screen TV as there's only a small space between the foot of the bed and the TV. The staff were helpful and polite. They kept our baggage for us when we were in Sapa and Halong Bay. But for us, the best part was the best beef noodle (Pho) was just across the road. For VND35,000 (MYR7) it was a big bowl filled with delicious beef and vegetable. The soup was so, so good. Ate twice but st... Read more

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The lobby area was inviting and friendly staff. The room we stayed in was extremely spacious and clean. The bathroom was large and plenty of hot water. Good location. Breakfast on the top floor with a view of the city, large variety of food, western and Asian style. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed here after the train trip back from Lao Cai(Sapa trip) from 5.00am until 8.30am when we were picked up by a driver for travel to Halong Bay. It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was very nice with views over the city from the dining areas. It was only a 200 metre walk from Hanoi train station to the hotel. Was a great decision to refresh and the rooms were tidy with large bathrooms

This hotel is located in a busy area near the main railway station. I would consider it a good three star hotel - not luxurious but comfortable. The regular rooms are pretty small and basic, so we upgraded to a much more comfortable suite. This is not as extravagant as it sounds, as it was just $20 a night extra, so would recommend it. The staff really make this hotel - do really go out of their way to make guests comfortable; promptly resolving issues, recommending excursions and restaurant... Read more

My experience actually started before I even arrived in Hanoi as I had some questions on taxis and travel so I emailed the hotel for advice. I got responses within 90 minutes to different queries. The room was nice and the bed was huge and comfortable. Very clean and well maintained. I have to say that the breakfast was a real treat but that does seem to be the case in the better run hotels. We had the whole spread from pastries and croissants, to the "full english", and the phos, congee, and ... Read more

Staff is polite and buffet breakfast is good, serving pho, yogurt and fresh fruits etc every morning. Hotel room is clean and comfortable. The nearest convenient store is 5 minute walk from hotel. There is a small boutique next to the hotel.

We booked this place because it was a short walk from the train station, and also a short walk from the temple of literature. They were able to get us a room on a high floor with a bathtub, and for US$20 more (half day charge) let us check in at 6am with breakfast. The breakfast is good (especially the passion fruit) and served on the top floor with a view of the station

The hotel is clean and nice, but the staff made the experience. We had some trouble with our tour agency and the staff was so sweet and helpful to sort the hole thing out. They translated for us and just took care of everything! I can only recommend this hotel. Our safety deposit didn't work in our room so they just kept our things in the deposit in the lobby. The breakfast is continental, but there is still too much asian food for my taste - this is the only downside.

We spent 3 nights here and would definitely stay again. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the included breakfast is great. The staff were fantastic at helping us to organise our visit in Hanoi, and beyond. The location is a little out of the old quarter, but walking distance to everything in town.

Stayed here for a few hours while waiting to leave on the night train to Sapa. Had dinner in the restaurant on the 11th floor - they put us in a room that had been closed off with no AC and only turned on the AC when we were in the room. It never got comfortable during the meal. We attempted to order a variety of dishes for dinner, but most of the ones we wanted were not available, the ones we did order were obviously of the frozen food variety. As my husband said, it was the equivalent to... Read more

We stayed there for 1 night before we head to halong bay the next day. Rooms where ok but location of the tv is very off. It's beside the bed so difficult to watch when lying down especially we got a twin bedroom. The breakfast was good though. Quite a variety.
