My partner and I with two teenagers dined at Vila Chaumier. What a surprise when we walked through the romantic tree lined pathway down to the lagoon. The restaurant is perfectly located on a peaceful lagoon in a romantic setting that would equal any location in the world. There is a good selection of food and was welcomely received and thoroughly enjoyed. The food is not cheap, but perfect for that special occasion.

The missus and I had a great 5 night stay here, beautiful gardens and dining out on the water was very nice. Rooms are clean and tidy. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Great value for money and a good decision to stay abit out from the town as it's an easy $1.50 bus ride into town.

Upon arriving we were met by lovely staff & a very accommating Manager, Ursula. Ursula went above & beyond to meet out needs plus more. Always very helpful with a sense of humour to boot. Ursula was very helpful & informative & interested in helping us with day trips etc. The staff for all needs executed their duties without fault. Special mention to Ian who helped us with a few problems. All solved. The catering was very good. Breakfast was very adequate. Plus they serve their local Tanna coffe... Read more

Stayed 4 nights at V/C in the lagoon view room above the resturant. Beautiful well maintained gardens throughout & private pool for guests who like a swim. Owners are pleasant & can help book local tours and transport if you request. Our room was clean with basic amenities, unfortunately loud in the mornings early from underneath us. Did have problems with blocked shower and toilet, plus shower temperature fluctuating from freezing & burn your bottom....that wasnt pleasant. Breakfast was include... Read more

It is three years since we have dined here...how can one fall so far? With only 3 tables (7people) in attendance it took one hour and ten minutes for food to arrive (after complaining). The standard of food has dropped from excellent to just above average. The standard of service from top class to less than 3 star. The venue badly needs an upgrade. When clearly aware 'we were not happy' there was no attempt to remedy the situation. Never again!

Ursula and Richard were such great hosts for our very short time in Port Vila. They were extremely friendly and very helpful given that our original stay was shortened with all of the Virgin Australia issues and cancelling flights. All of the staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome and nothing was an issue. The bungalows are delightful, clean and well appointed with an outdoor seating area out the front. The restaurant served great food and wine and having only arrived in Vanuatu fo... Read more

We went for dinner after recommendations from staff at our nearby hotel. We ordered the chicken liver pate, seafood plate for 1 and the coconut crab. The food was amazing. So much crab we couldn't finish it. We had the place to ourselves in a nice quiet setting.

We as a family with teenage kids went for lunch. We saw the sign on the side of the road and decided to go in. It was high tide so best time to visit as there were heaps of fish to see right beside your table. The food was great and we had the place all to ourselves.
