Our driver took us there after being at Blue Lagoon for the morning. I had heard this was an amazing restaurant and it was! Beautiful, beautiful setting and the best food we had in ten days. Not that expensive (everything in Vanuatu is expensive). Don't miss this place!

We had a wonderful 1 weeks stay at Vila Chaumieres. The property is located right on a narrow body of water between 2 large lagoons in Port Vila. The room we occupied is right above the Restaurant. It has a large balcony which overlooks the beautiful gardens and has a nice view down towards the first lagoon. It is a lovely, peaceful setting. We enjoyed our stay immensely. There is a first class restaurant where you can get very enjoyable meals. The staff were unfailingly polite & were willing to... Read more

VC is a charming, quiet, pretty place set on a canal between two lagoons. There are lots of shrubs and flowers on the property. The term 'resort' is used very loosely in Vanuatu. This is more like what you would find at an Australian motel: accommodation, restaurant, bar, a fenced in 10 metre swimming pool (no view) and a couple of kayaks. The best features included our comfortable bed, the beautiful view of the canal from our room above the restaurant and our own private verandah with lounge ... Read more

Fantastic place and friendly staff. Customer service 10/10. Staff were always smiling and happy to assist you when you needed directions or just some help. Easy access to town by catching a B Van. You wait outside of resort and they pull up for you. Meals were fabulous and two different size meals were available.

Stayed here for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The owners and staff were lovely and always friendly and helpful. Our garden bungalow was lovely to stay in and it felt like our little home for the two weeks we were there. We found the food to be a little expensive but the meals we did eat there were delicious and sitting over the lagoon each morning was always picturesque. I definitely recommend staying in the garden bungalows if you are after a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

My husband and I stayed here for 14 nights in late May/early June 2016. Firstly do not expect bells and whistles. There is no golf course or tennis courts. There is no TV and the internet is slow and erratic. You pay a small amount, AUD $6, per day for air conditioning. None of this was a concern for us, as the benefits well outweighed those negatives. The resort is about 10 minutes from Port Vila central. PV itself is dirty and depressing. It is expensive however you can easily get a bus, the... Read more

We recently had the pleasure of two dinners at Vila Chaumieres - both fantastic. This resort is one of the cleanest and reliable in Port Vila. We dined over the lagoon with fish jumping - the staff are so accommodating as are the hands on owners - Ursula and Richard

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Vila Chaumieres for seven wonderful nights. As soon as you arrive you are welcomed by the beautiful garden, that leads you through to a stunning restaurant set on the lagoon. A restaurant where the food is as lovely as the staff that look after you. We ate nearly every meal there - including packed lunches from the chef - and enjoyed everyone of them. The bungalows are like having your own little holiday home set amongst the colourful flora, an... Read more

We as a family with teenage kids went for lunch. We saw the sign on the side of the road and decided to go in. It was high tide so best time to visit as there were heaps of fish to see right beside your table. The food was great and we had the place all to ourselves.

We went for dinner after recommendations from staff at our nearby hotel. We ordered the chicken liver pate, seafood plate for 1 and the coconut crab. The food was amazing. So much crab we couldn't finish it. We had the place to ourselves in a nice quiet setting.
