I was only there for a night but could have easily stayed longer. Friendly service, clean and tidy rooms, with safe, fridge, air con, hair dryer, and comfortable bed. Small pool area but enough to cool off in. Had to go to the bar area to get strong wifi signal but that's not a bad place to be. Great dinner and breakfast. Close to Vila and the airport. 5 mins each way in a taxi or taxi bus from the front of the hotel.

We had an early flight so we stayed here for one night. Friendly staff, facilities extremely clean. The Room we had was small but that wasn't a problem as we were there for only one night if we were staying longer we would have requested a larger room. Had a fantastic dinner at what we thought was very good value for vatu. As breakfast was included with our booking we asked if a breakfast could be arranged for us and it was - delivered to our room for our consumption at 4.30am. 10 minute wa... Read more

First impressions as you approach the hotel are not great but it is a terrific place to stay. The staff are amazing, the pool is great, and the views are great. It is a bit out of town and as it gets dark by 6pm we weren't inclined to venture far for evening meal, but the food in the restaurant at the hotel is great. The room we had on first impression was that it was pretty small but we stayed 9 days and after a while it didn't matter - and you don't spend much time in the room anyway.

We stayed 11 nights at this hotel in a harbourside room. The view was magnificent, the food was great except for the complimentry breakfast which was not so great, friendly staff and very helpful. The room was serviced each day and was spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a quiet relaxing holiday

We stayed at the Moorings Hotel for 3 nights in May and found it to be quite good. The hotel surrounds are clean, although there was some renovations going on around the place this did not in any way inconvenience us. The view across the water is beautiful and the pool is clean and well maintained. The complimentary wifi can be accessed when in communal areas, at times it dropped out and was slow but it was ok for general browsing. You do have to log in each time you connect which is a bit of an... Read more

Prior to visiting the Moorings I read the tripadvisor reviews 2 of which were very negative and I was alittle worried - my fears were unfounded and I presume these remarks were made by professional moaners. The Hotel is in the middle of being upgraded - I found my room basic but clean and comfortable. The staff were very happy- eager to please. The food wss very good.

We were looking for a location close to town , not a resort and without having excess travel to town centre. Wanting a bit of walking follow knee replacement .This for us was a great 7days stay in February not overly busy , very friendly staff and great food. Nothing fancy or Extravagant but comfortable and within easy reach of town and to be able to explore on your own. Nothing was a chore or bother to staff , only wishing to be of assistance in any way. John from restaurant was very helpful,... Read more

My daughter had stayed at this hotel previously. I read the reviews and I was slightly dubious. However I totally enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was clean, great location, beautiful views and fantastic staff in all areas of operation. I arrived very late in the evening and was met by a security guard who is always there over night. I'm pretty sure it was him that knocked on my door when I asked for two wake up calls. The breakfast was adequate for me. Nice coffee. I hope it was Tanna coffee I... Read more

I spent six nights at the Moorings Hotel. This is a relatively small and intimate hotel located only a 6-10 minute walk to the main town of Port Vila. The rooms are relatively basic but they have all of the essentials including air-conditioning. The cleaning staff were brilliant and the rooms were maintained to an immaculate standard. All of the staff were very friendly and as good, if not better, than anywhere in Vanuatu. The restaurant had a limited but interesting menu and all meals were of a... Read more

Small resort with only a short walk to the centre of Port Vila. Lots of buses and taxi's passing the front entrance if you need to venture further. Airconditioned with a ceiling fan also. Small rooms, with everything you need. My only criticism is there is not enough shelf space and no drawers to put your clothes away. Enough hanging space but only 4 coathangers. Staff are all amazing and very friendly. Jonathon does an awesome job in the restaurant/bar. Always greets everyone with ... Read more

We stayed at the Moorings for 2 nights and were very happy with our choice. Even though the room we chose was a little on the small side it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant food was amazing. We don't normally eat at the hotels except for breakfast but glad we ate there one night. On the way home in the plane I read that the chef at the Moorings is first class! That explains the great food. I feel this hotel is priced right!

This was a lovely place to stay for 2 weeks. We found we were far enough out of town for it to be quieter than right in town. Service was fantastic. Drinks were cold and the Tusker card was a real saver. All staff were courteous and attentive. We loved the free breakfast each morning, the selecting was very good.

The staff at Moorings are very helpful and friendly. From suggesting places for food, to helping price up day trips to tourist destinations they were wonderful. The views from the restaurant and pool/bar area are amazing at all times of the day. Well priced, would recommend to my friends. :)

Myself and my hubby have stayed at this property ongoing for 3 yrs or so due to setting up our small business. Before it changed hands recently 2016 and a lot of the marvellous staff we knew, who had to reapply for their own positions, which surprise surprise, they didn't get back, I was lead to believe that this change over was to improve the Moorings, but it had done quite the opposite. A TA fellow traveler actually sent me a photo of the supposed updates recently and the rooms have not been t... Read more

Myself and my friends come here regularly to dine. The food is always great value for money, tasty and with new specials every week. We love sitting out on the waterfront deck under the newly purchased umbrellas. Staff are very attentive, friendly and professional. Great to see an effort to ongoing improvements being made. Look forward to trying out the new open grill bbq area when we return!

We stayed a night at The Moorings, our 8th time to Vanuatu. Normally we stay at the 4 + star resorts here. For a Hotel of this rating it far exceeded our expectations. We stayed at another Hotel of the same rating ..NO comparison ..new TV with news and movies. Free movie night on top screen and a 5 minute walk to Vila township. Top continental breakfast. Lovely room and excellent staff. The Manager mingles wth clients and his vision is exciting. Note WiFi a lttle slow as it's expensive in Vanu... Read more

As others have said Moorings has a fantastic location on the waters edge and on the way into the main area of Port Vila from the airport. It's an easy flat walk into town and when the new beachfront park is completed will be lovely. There is a good open air restaurant at the hotel plus pizza, Chinese, Thai close by. The beach bar next door did not seem to have any noise problems and we didn't notice any traffic noise as the rooms are well back from the road. A buffet breakfast was included w... Read more

Moorings is beautiful with friendly staff and a great location. Love hiring out a paddle board and heading straight out from the resort and the view, especially at sunset out by the water with a nice juice is the perfect way to end the day! Nice and close to town, easily able to walk but with a quiet and relaxing vibe. Love visiting here and have already recommended to my family who are coming in the next month! I know they will love it ???

We stayed here 8 nights and loved it, the location is amazing and staff are definatley the highlight, they are so lovely and helpful. Rooms cleaned everyday and one of the nicest bar/restaurants in the area. Have had to knock 1 mark off just as we didnt sleep to well a few nights as there was a rather loud club next door, it didnt finish too late and is of no fault to the hotel but was abit frustrating in the moment. But would go back and would reccommend.

The hotel was convenient and nice for doing work on a project and I have plans to stay at the Moorings when I return soon. It is very accessible for everything downtown and is on the beach. For swimming, it has coral so people use the pool and go out of town to the best beaches and snorkeling. The staff are also very friendly.

This is the second time we've stayed here. It is very well situated - if you want to rest or go on a tour somewhere. Be sure to book on the Internet - usually cheaper. Restaurant good and continental breakfast included. Staff very friendly and rooms well cleaned. Aircon and fans in room, fridge, electric jug. Clean swimming pool, and canoes and paddle boards for guests. Plans to continue improvements. Not a big complex which is good. Good lunch and dinner restaurant and a range of interesting sp... What a lovely place to stay in Vanuatu. I spent 2 weeks at this lovely hotel and glad I chose there. The room was clean, comfortable and big enough for what I needed. The staff were absolutely amazing.......and the Manager so friendly and approachable should you need.
