I apologise for not writing a review sooner, however we were at the Holiday Inn as a "cyclone shelter" in March. Breakers resort evacuated us to this location as it was a safer option for us all. I can't thank Tom and his team enough for all that they did for us during this time. Not only did they feed us incredibly well but they also accommodated our every need to the best of their ability during this distressing time. Thankyou Tom for dropping us of and picking us up from the hospital, thankyo... Read more

Late review am just learning about trip advisor :p My husband and i had our honeymoon here in Feb 2015. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday. The staff were AMAZING. Every single one. Could not find a fault. Just beautiful hospitable people. It felt like being at home. The facilities were excellent. Try out the day spa. The massages are divine especially in the beach side huts. And the pizzas by the pool are to die for! Cant wait to come back soon with the family x thanks for the memorab... Read more

In the pool and restaurant !!!!! and it wasnt even school holidays....... Lovely staff tho. Rooms to small .... meaning I should of done my research... should always have a seperate bedroom from the main living area. And was not really impressed with the food.

I visited this hotel in September 2013 during an international event. If you expect standard hotel with card key security, nope you won't find it. It offers ocean view activities with sunset as the background. So far, it was the best value hotel in town.

I stayed here for a couple of nights while in town for work and I have to say I can't wait to bring my family back for a holiday! The resort has a fresh new look after its re launch after cyclone Pam swept through almost a year ago. With a dynamic team at the helm this resort is set to be the premiere place to stay in Port Vila. Everything you could ever need is right here & once you step foot on this beautiful property, you won't want to leave. The day spa is a must as is the Verandah restauran... Read more

I stayed here for several weeks while on business. It had just re-opened after a year of renovations necessitated by the devastating damage of Tropical Cyclone Pam in March 2015. All the facilities are up to date and working well. Two pools, 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, poolside bar - it's all here. Very friendly service. It is roughly 5 minutes from the center of town, which is easily reached by taxi (US$6) or minibus (US$3).

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Hotel in Vanuatu from the 25th June until the 2nd of July 2016. Id offer the following critique. The resort facilities as far as entertainment goes are excellent, lots of fun things to do. Tennis, swimming , boating etc. The pools (2) are excellent. The rooms are kept clean. The staff are very friendly. The main criticisms I found about the stay there are: 1. The food in the restaurant and pool bar is very poor. We tried the hamburger (it was presented almost ... We stayed here recently having been swayed by the promise of a pristine newly reopened resort. Instead, it was just a major disappointment on every front. The rooms were poky and tired, nothing worked. The staff while nice enough simply weren't engaged enough to care or act on any requests. Service was painfully slow, far beyond the normal acceptable 'island time'. The day spa was very underwhelming and the food average. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it and I certainly won't be re... Read more

Well, What a disappointment was the main restaurant . During two evening dining experiences we encountered extremely poor service. The responsible management in this area is a total disgrace, no noticeable training had been given to the local staff as everybody just follows each other around and around. It was just lucky that we had eaten mid afternoon as we would have died of starvation otherwise. We ordered a round of drinks and as the staff came past they asked numerous times what would we l... We traveled in a group of nine , 6 adults and 3 kids.( Family ) Our accommodation and the grounds were all spotless and rooms and beds were very spacious and comfortable. Staff still friendly and happy and it was great to see some familiar faces. The Beach BBQ with the fire dancers was definitely a highlight. Food was great and plentiful. Great place for families including kids club, great pool and activities by the beach. The buffet breakfast was awesome. However we found inconsistencies in the service, and quality of food in the evenings (pool bar). The buffet dinners were too expensive for us to consider. The great thing about this resort is that you can easily access town via taxi or bus (5 min ride). Therefore you can explore the shops / restaurants / markets easily. There are also some great sights to explore within approx ... Read more

The Holiday Inn Resort was very well placed just outside of the main CBA of Port Vila in a beautiful location. Our original room was perfect for our needs and following a minor issue with the door lock they happily upgraded our room to a lagoon view room without a need to ask. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the other food options for the day were great although slow at times. We are a family of four and stayed 6 nights. We shared one room with two double beds. We booked a garden view room but the room we ended up with had a decent view of the pool area. The room was on the ground floor and had access via the main door and from the garden outside as well. The room was of average size, however the bathroom was quite small. This is an older property but the room was fairly well presented. There were a few minor maintenance issues that could be addressed (shower had issu... Read more

My family and I had a terrific experience staying the resort. It had everything we needed and the facility was immaculate. The service provided to our needs by William was well beyond what you would expect for a resort of this size. The buffet on the beach with the fire dancing show was exceptional and should not be missed

Stayed here for 7 nights in July with my family. Hotel staff are very friendly, rooms modern and clean and well maintained on a daily basis. When the sun is shining there is plenty on offer at the hotel and on the beach. Our only concern was the selection of food at the 3 outlets as they all served the same menu. Choice therefore is very limited indeed!! The main restaurant served the same choices as the beach bar apart from a couple of meat dishes and all menus stayed the same every night.Break... Read more

Having stayed here numerous times before Cyclone Pam, we were keen to return. The resort has had a few minor tweaks and a refresh, although, we've always found it to be a high standard as a whole and still think it is the perfect place for Family, Group or just a relaxing Holiday. Kids are well catered for with great staff at Kids club, while Sports Hut Staff are amazing and always happy to instigate or join in with the kids, which really gives Parents a great timeout! Stayed at the Holiday Inn for 5 nights at the end of June 2016. Resort is great location, right on lagoon and short distance to town. You can either walk to town (some hills) or catch a taxi form hotel or bus from front of resort. We were in Lagoon view room room, it was spacious and clean. 2 pool areas with plenty of lounges and shade. There were more lounge areas on edge of lagoon, which enabled you to get away from pool area. Catamarans, Stand up Paddle boards and kayaks are available to use... Read more

We loved staying at the Holiday Inn. We loved the decor, the pools, the lagoon, the beautiful gardens, the helpful, friendly staff, the handy laundry and ATM and the very comfortable rooms. Our 11 year old daughter relished the stay, play and eat free deal. Dinner at the restaurant was expensive. We didn't eat there. Was $50 AUS for 2 burgers. We had read this before we went so took some snacks with us. We wanted to visit today for lunch as a group of 10. The hotel was very quiet when we arrived (ie not a guest in sight) and when we asked for directions to the restaurant we were told there was a fee of 400 Vatu per person to have lunch (about $50 for our group). We asked if it was redeemable against purchases (like at Iririki), and apparently not. So we took our drinks and meals elsewhere. Maybe that's why there was one there?
