We had our wedding here exactly a year ago. Was such a beautiful day. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. We stayed for a week with family and our wedding guests. We stayed in the family bungalow. The nannies were great with the baby and cheap. We could access the hotel across the lagoon for restaurants and their pool facilities. The free rentals were handy to get out onto the water with the canoes and reef shoes. Free breakfast included, always a bonus!

My sister and I came here for 7 days staying in a family loft vila. It was perfect. Having the mezzanine in our room gave the space that 2 sisters holidaying may require. We both loved our time on the resort, lots of relaxing and swimming followed by the odd massage or beer. The one thing though that made this trip the most memorable were the staff, without them it would've just been another getaway. They go above and beyond to make you feel right at home, to make you feel that you are visiting... Read more

We recently stayed here. The place was fantastic! The lagoon really is beautiful. It was family friendly and my kids enjoyed the activities. They spent so much time watching the sea life in the lagoon that I was able to relax on the beach. I would highly recommend it. Only downside was the food wasn't the best but its only a short taxi ride into town.

We recently stayed at Erakor Island resort for 10 nights. 2 adults 4 kids (16,13,6,3) in a family villa. Room was in very good condition with daily cleaning. Open the back doors and it's literally 5 steps into the lagoon, even with a 3 year old it was safe and a great way to relax everyday. The kids spent most days snorkelling, swimming, kayaking, using SUP's and playing at the kids playground and games room at reception. Just came home from tying the knot in paradise with 34 of our family and friends. The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous and extremely well presented but it's the staff that separates this place from all the others. Our family stayed for one week at what I can only describe as paradise in the pacific. The island is on a lovely lagoon with coral and tropical fish of all sorts of colours and shapes at your door literally. To see coral like this on the barrier reef you would need to scuba dive and yet here it is in waist deep water and safe for even poor swimmers and kids will live the natural beauty. The staff are lovely and friendly always with a smile. Kesiah, Henry and Annie were always helpful thank you... Read more

My husband and I spent 6 nights at Erakor Resort & Spa for our wedding. We had an amazing week with our closest family and friends. The resort staff treated us like family and made us feel so welcome. The resort was very laid back and picturesque Ô?? just like a tropical island should be! We stayed as a family of five in a waterfront family loft villa for 7 nights in April 2016. The villa was perfect for our family and had everything we needed. There was a large comfy king sized bed on the ground floor with a beautiful mosquito net draped over. There was also a second level above the main bedroom with three single beds perfect for the kids. Beautiful beautiful and beautiful place and must visit!!! This place is unforgettable, the resort will charge VT1000 for return boat shuttle and resort fee. However, this fee can be used as a credit for food and drink at the restaurant. We spent a whole day here and reluctance to leave, water is crystal clear, good food and stunning view. There are so many starfish and sea life around, however it's not a good place to go snorkeling.

We fell in love with this island the water crystal clear and the staff are very welcoming. The spa room is so romantic with netting over the bed . The sand is very clean and you can see star fish in the water spectacular. If you stay get a spa apartment on the water you will not regret it . The only negative thing is there is no TV or wifi On the island at all only near the restaurant we did ask if we could watch a couple of movies which they helped us with that also I'm sorry to say the food is... We chose Erakor Island for our wedding destination and I can't even begin to explain how wonderful everything was. We had a lot of friends and family staying with us and every single person was made to feel at home and loved! Lita, the wedding planner, went above and beyond and made our day magical. We got A LOT of rain on our day and nothing went to plan but my god we had fun haha. Lita put my nerves to rest and I felt like we had been friends forever :) The staff here are just beautiful and ... Read more

We recently returned from our Wedding at Erakor Island Resort and couldn't have been happier with how it went. The entire stay was incredible. From sorting all the pre arrangements with the travel company, to Lita the incredible Wedding Planner at the resort, they made everything completely stress free and the wedding day went without a hitch. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Erakor! Every single one of them were nothing short of amazing and went above and beyond to make us all fee... Read more

In the whole world it is hard to find places like this. It is like stepping back in time to when tourism was smaller and simpler and more in tune with the natural world. I decided to stay here as it is like the good old days, with my room having no A/C or TV or swimming pool. But I did not miss any of that as the air temperature is warm and not hot, the entertainment is all around with music and village life, and the ocean water is beautiful to swim in. The resort is in a great location near ... Read more

I just returned from 6 nights staying at the Warwick Le Lagos with my almost 83 year old mum. While there we ferried over to Erakor Island resort during the day to 'check it out'. The ferry costs 1,000 Vatu ($12.50 $AUD). The cost is reimbursed for drinks or meal purchases and you pay the difference. My mum is quite scared of water but the ferry took less than 5 minutes and the water was such a fabulous Aqua blue I think she forgot to be frightened once onboard. The welcome to the Island by N... From the moment we arrived & were met by our wedding coordinator, Lita and co at the wharf with friendly smiling faces, welkum, we felt like we had arrived to our second home. The whole team could not do enough for us. Our wedding day was sensational, emotional, dreamy, out of this world with a back drop for photos to boot! We partied hard, I'm sure keeping the locals up on coconut beach till wee hours of the morning, including coconut tree climbing by some of our adventurous family. Our chef's ... Read more

The staff are friendly and inviting as soon as you get off the boat. The small island provides a range of activities to entertain and relax the mind and body. The serene location is breathtaking. There is outdoor and indoor activities such as snorkelling, volley ball and pool table.

My now husband and I decided to marry here on the 12/11/2016. What swayed me was all the fantastic reviews. We were not disappointed, from walking out of the airport until the day we left we felt like we were part of the Erakor family. We got to know all the staff who were all so happy and friendly and catered to our every need. The island itself is beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city centre. It's only small but there is a lot to explore, lots of snorkeling and waters... Read more

This little island paradise will meet your every need. We have been before and were delighted to find it hadn't changed. This time we took a family holiday and had a two bedroom loft villa to accommodate up to seven. Everything was made easy with a 24hr ferry and informative helpful staff who assisted us to access all the best Vanuatu experiences. Special mention to Paul who was exceptional from the moment we arrived and even accompanied us on a round island day tour. Cliff and Annie tended t... Read more

Thank you to all of the wonderful friendly Erakor staff. We felt so welcome. You could not walk past anyone without a good morning or good afternoon. We stayed in one of the ocean view rooms. A bit more walking but complete peace and quiet (only the washing of the waves). The couples massage is a must. We were lucky enough to see one of the legendary coconut crabs.

Beautiful place to relax, meet with the friendly staffs, near to town to learn more about Vanuatu life. Crystal clear water with shallow coral, safe to snorkel, very safe for the children. Clean rooms with air-con, and newly installed wifi covered most of the resort. Very good place for wedding. Last not the least, very good cook served with delicious food, a paradise on earth.

Well where do I start.... from the minute we arrived at the island to the minute we left, we were made to feel so incredibly special! The location, food, staff (especially) and accommodation was superb. The tours desk were so helpful and organised everything for us to a tee. Sometimes it was hard with the language barrier to explain things but it was fun to work it out together- great laughs! There were 74 of us in total on the island at once so I was outstanded to see that they could accommod... Read more

We have just arrived home from an amazing week at a friends wedding at Erakor Island. We were met with a very welcoming greeting and great smiles everywhere. Every morning walking down to get breakfast every staff member made a point of smiling and saying good morning, really good way to get the day started. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of options and was usually very prompt. We were very busy doing activities so didn't get to spend alot of time on the island but did find the facilit... Erakor Island is always great! I spend a lot of time in Port Vila and Erakor is the perfect little getaway destination. The island is a short drive from the centre of Port Vila and is accessible via a small ferry. The ferry fee is 1000VT per person for adults however you receive this back in a voucher that can be used for food, drinks, and activities. It is very peaceful with white pristine beaches and crystal clear water. Snorkelling is nice however there is not a large amount to see. Still som... Read more

My husband and I had one week on Erakor Island and we could not have felt more welcome and looked after. The staff is always smiling and helpful with any enquiries. There is privacy if you want it and plenty of entertainment if that is what you are seeking. I do want to point out - because previous reviews have been mentioning this negatively - that the food was first class. We have had breakfast, à la carte as well as the private couple's dinner and every wish that we had was fulfilled. Pleas... Read more

The aim of our one week holiday was to witness the marriage of a very special young couple and that of course was the highlight. BUT I have to say I think the whole stay was made special by all the staff who were so smiling,, so courteous and caring all the time. The meals were lovely and well prepared. The burres or huts were well furnished and supplied with tea and coffee. We had a 2 bedroom ( 1 upstairs) burre and whilst downstairs there was a net around the bed perhaps one could be prov...
