Fabulous resort to stay at. Adults only which allows you to truly relax. The staff a welcoming And friendly and go out of their way to serve you. During one dinner sitting I ordered a coconut water, the kitchen had run out so one of the team members climbed a tree in the storm to get me one. The rooms are lovely and clean and the infinity pool gives a great option when you don't want to hit the beach. I recommend the coconut crab! The sauce is to die for!! Happy holidaying

Breakas was great from start to finish - wish we could've stayed longer. We were greeted at 2am in the pouring rain with Leis and umbrellas and for the next few days had great service. On our last night we ate at the on site restaurant and it was spectacular! Would go back in a heart beat.

We loved our stay at Breakas in a beachfront Fare with a fantastic view of the Bay. The Fares are just beautiful with a large comfy bed, fridge and the most incredible outdoor shower, there is no TV or air conditioning but we didn't miss either. We spent most of our time sitting on our private balcony enjoying the spectacular view or swimming in the infinity pool. The resort overlooks a coral reef so at low tide you can wander through the coral just don't forget your reef shoes and if you are a ... Read more

The resort was beautiful. The fare was beachside, private and clean with a beautiful outdoor bathroom. The pool was divine- swam in it during the day and dined by it at night while being entertained by traditional dancers. The staff were absolutely amazing and made our stay fantastic. We snorkelled for hours straight off the reef in front of the resort which was very beautiful- we saw many fish, coral, sea snake, lion fish, schools of sardines and my husband was lucky enough to see dugong baskin... Fabulous location and on entering the resort it is a real wow factor. We stayed with two other couples for 12 days and loved every minute of our stay. From Friyta on the tour desk, Roy Food and Beverage manager and especially Mario the executive Chef we were treated like family, nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional and Mario our Chef was not only a great cook but our own personal comedian and singer as well.

From when we alighted from our airport transfer (there were 6 of us) we were blown away by the look of the resort and by our welcoming party. The Bure was beautiful with a king size bed and were set amongst a tropical garden with ocean views. There was also an infinity pool which looked out over the beach. We have just returned from a holiday in Vanuatu and spent the last 3 nights at Breakas. We had previous reviews with most complimenting the friendly staff but one saying they were unhelpful. It was our experience that all but two of the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. This was the highlight of our stay. The pool and the location of the bar and restaurant around it at the back of the beach is the major asset of this resort - out of this world.

stayed 4 nights and sadly there for work, but the staff were quietly efficient and the place ran very smoothly. An easy welcoming stay. Pool was good and the surf was popular. Note - the snorkelling is only feasible at high tide and not greatest location for beach swimming due to surf. Rooms comfortable, food was excellent. Reception for internet is fine in foyer/ restaurant but not in one of the distant rooms

Stayed in Garden Fare 37. Good quiet location just back from the beachfront. Friendly helpful staff. The quality of the water equipment was lacking - old tired worn out. Kayak paddle I had was useless as it kept twisting and my wife's kayak sunk resulting in three stiches in a head wound. Otherwise no complaints - location, food, service were all top notch

Travelled here during March 2016 on a couples holiday it was beautiful. Food was great and the location is amazing. However upon booking we did not even consider needing air conditioning! If you don't like the heat this is a downside as there is none. Aside from that we couldn't fault it. A small animal kept entering out room in the night through the open shower which was frustrating.

Breakas looks great online but overall the decor is getting a little dated. The staff are lovely and friendly, the rooms are large and most have outdoor showers which is nice. However, the nightly entertainment is a bit 80's, the signature seafood platter was overcooked, and the staff can be a bit slow with service. The resort gets a lot of wind from the south east so it can be a bit chilly on the beach or in the pool at times (suggest checking the wind direction before you go). I feel that ther... Read more

Accommodation was excellent. Cleaning room every day excellent. Restaurant breakfast average and some meals very average. Lovely grounds. Beach when the tide is in looks inviting enough but there is a reef. When the tide is out no swim. All coral. Take shoes. Not the kind of beach I was after. Hard to please me I guess. I must say I arrived with the flu. The pool was cool. So basically never swam in either pool or sea at this resort. The village tour was lovely as what ever was in the ... Read more

Picked the resort because of good trip advisor reviews, good value for money and resort on beach with water activities. Staff: Staff were very friendly and very welcoming for entire time at hotel which was good. Didn't like the way the European (white) owners talked to the staff. Wouldn't address staff in the rude condescending way in Australia. Grounds: Clean and well maintained, really creates the deserted island resort feel. Love the beach with sea life being at your door step. Paths throug... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay at Breakas, it came highly recommended by a few friends and lived up to expectations. The additional activities that they offer are worth taking up, I especially liked the cooking class. The themed nights are great, the seafood platter is more than generous and the Melanesian night is a great way to experience the local cuisine. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My tip would be if you're going to book a room beachside, request that it not be next to the b... Read more

The resort was clean and well presented and staff lovely but could hear dogs barking through the night and a rooster from 3am. Food was inconsistent in quality so ended up at Cafe Vila 5 minutes walk down the road for dinner most nights which had better food and was quieter. Singer/entertainer at Breakas had a good voice when singing softly but was annoyingly loud and screechy and we couldn't talk over dinner so another reason to head down the road. Could still hear him when back at room and cou... Read more

Really enjoyed our stay at Breakas. We picked this particular resort as it was adults only so if you are looking for a child free place this is ideal! All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice with a good selection. We ate dinner here for the Melanesian feast night and another time with a seafood platter, both we would highly recommend! Make sure to book though as it sells out quite quickly! Bure's were lovely and private once you work out how to move the shutters (we did... Read more

The resort is huge, beautiful, clean, cozy, very peaceful (depending on where they put you), the staff is lovely and the many hammocks all over the beach is amazing, BUT, it just took us a couple of days to realise and experience some issues that a resort on this price range shouldn't have. The menu has very few options, the food is tasteless and oily, which makes most of the guests to eat in the Café Villa, a wonderful restaurant just 10 minutes walking from Breakas, with a much better food ...
