The hotel is very charming from the outside, but everything in the hotel is dated and old. The plumbing does not work properly, and furnishings are all old, and the carpet is dirty looking. The flue makes a howling noise, and at night there are numerous annoying sounds. This is a very old hotel, and you can tell the owner does not want to spend anymore money, and he is just milking as much money as he can get. There is constructions nearby, and I expect this hotel to be torn down in the near fut... Read more

After driving few hours to get here I was so tired. Laura, the golden retriever (I hope I spell her name right) greeted me when I walked into the lobby. She is so mellow and loving. My heart melt. I think she should be the best staff of the year. Every single time I walked by lobby she is working. Cuddle with guests or let guests pet. The receptionist is very friendly and patient too. He is very helpful and provided all the information I need for my trip. Room is warm and cozy. Even the bathroom... Read more

We stayed here for two nights. The first night we arrived shortly after 10pm and when we asked if there was anywhere we could eat, the guy said, "I could make some calls." I found it odd that a tourist "village" had not one place that was open serving drinks or food. But the guy was very nice, and it's not his fault. Just unfortunate that people pay to stay out at their hotel, but there isn't a single place, including their own hotel, for a couple to eat after a long day of travels. The hotel wa... Read more

When we arrived after all day travel the receptionist couldn't find our reservations and said it mistakenly got cancelled because of some issues with dealing with Booking.com. But they had space because it was the beginning of the season and fortunately we were given the room we had originally paid for. As a concession we were given a free refrigerator which was brought up to our room. This is a conveniently located hotel next to the tram in Titon Village. The king size room was very nice with a... After visiting Yellowstone and Grand Tetons we traveled to Jackson, WY to find a hotel. The town was mobbed and no rooms were available in town. We almost moved on, then we found the Alpenhof Lodge located at Teton Village (about 10 miles outside of Jackson), and were glad we did! The lodge is at the base of the mountain, next to the tram to the ski slopes. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. We ate dinner at the restaurant an... Read more

Booked last minute while in the general area. Hotel is a little dated, but it is very clean and is located in the heart of Teton Village. The food and the overall service in the hotel is fantastic. The owners and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home.

The Alpenhof Lodge is slightly dated but definitely functional and clean. It is in a great location and has an extensive, satisfying complementary breakfast. The staff is friendly and responsive. Just so you know, a refrigerator in the room is an extra $10 a day, and there is free wifi. Overall, it's a good choice if you're not staying in Grand Teton National Park.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the tram and had availability for a one night stay. I wish we had stayed two. There was much more we could have done to take advantage of the proximity to the tram and the many activities and hiking trails. The rooms were a bit dated and the knob on the inside of our hotel room was broken and actually fell off in my hand. The staff seem confused about simple questions while at the same time seeming to try too hard. Location is the main reason to s... Read more

Alpenhof Lodge is charming and sweet, but the best thing about it are the people. I was received after a hellish journey (Thank you Delta) by Dylan at the front desk who did everything possible to start my stay on the right foot. When I broke my ankle 2 days later and needed help at 1.00am, Shaun was incredibly helpful and went out of his way for me.

This place is great although a little pricey. Everything is as advertised. The rooms are large (we had 27). Our balcony was the pool deck. Like having our own pool and spa. Breakfast was over the top. Great breakfast room and a huge variety of foods. They really take the Swiss theme to heart.

This hotel has a personal feel that is different from staying at a chain-hotel. The caretakers (Ann & Mark), the folks at the front-desk (Billy, Sean), and the restaurant (Silvio) help the best they can. And they do make you feel at home. During my week-long stay, these individuals provided suggestions for things to do in Jackson Hole, and Yellowstone; Ann even kept the restaurant open for another few hours so I could sit there and do my work-related email (the family was asleep in the room)... We booked this hotel thru hot wire.com because we got a better price than any other hotel. It did include breakfast and was a welcome surprise for us. Rooms were clean and well kept. This is a hotel with lots of charm and some people may fine it dated. Staff was helpful and friendly. We especially liked the roof top dining and the hot tub. The breakfast was great too. Hot eggs, sausage, cold cheese and meats, pastries, cereal and fruit. Would stay here again.

You can call it rustic, but it was really just old and outdated, I fee hesitated to step in the bathroom, and feel I have to hold my breath in the room, because of the musty smell. Breakfast was good, but nothing makes you thrill. I will not recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay. We upgraded to a suite which had nice fireplace & sitting area. Complimentary breakfast is very good, healthy & hardy. Nice little bar area with quaint restaurant. Staff was very helpful with recommendations on hikes, sights & restaurants. Location is great, you drive on the wildlife road to & from the Tetons! Saw lots of wildlife (elk, moose, bear) off the road.

This place is SO much fun! It's like going into Snow White's cottage in an alpine wonderland. The staff is very friendly and the grounds are immaculate. It was great that the location is so close to the park entrance. Less than five minute drive. I can imagine how incredible this place would be in the snow.

Stayed here last year for one night and came back this year. It's a cute lodge with the German/Swiss alps theme. Rooms are cozy. There are some stairs to get your luggage to your room. Breakfast buffet is excellent! Especially the homemade pastries. Awesome location too.

We booked this last minute as we decided to stay closer to Jackson hole airport. After a previous stay at Snake River lodge we decided to come back to Teton village but try something new, it was right next door! Whilst its not modern inside it certainly was enchanting. Our room was beautiful if not rather warm when we arrived, we had to cool it down most of the evening! It was clean and cosy and the shower was surprisingly powerful, i could have stayed in it all day! I loved the decor on the fur... Read more

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for a little weekend fall getaway with our four month old son. We love the character of the lodge and the location was great for exploring the Tetons and Jackson, its very quiet during that time of year too which we liked. The room was very nice and comfortable and there is a good attention to details. We loved the things like the beer steins in the room for guests to use at their restaurant. The hot tub was nice and clean. The staff was great and very h... Read more

Centrally located hotel with car parking across the street in the main public car park. Reception was a little patronising with no offer to help with our suitcases until after we'd taken them up ourselves. Pleasant room with outside balcony. Comfortable bed. Quality and variety of breakfast buffet was excellent, but breakfast wasn't due to start until 7,30am (which is pretty late for a hotel) and even at 7.30am they were nowhere near ready, so breakfast service needed to be much better organised... We loved our stay at Alpenhof. It is situated at the base of Jackson Hole - walk out the door and you are at the tram that takes you to the top. The decor has a European feel to it- the staff is very welcoming and the food is delicious! We especially appreciated the phenomenal European breakfast. Mark and Ann are great managers.
