My main complaints were the shabbiness (furniture facing was broken off in fairly large areas) and the lack of cleanliness (very noticeable dust buildup around the edge of the entire carpet). Our past experience with Hampton hotels has been very positive. Not this one.

It was a very windy day when we pulled into this hotel. But, Julie greeted us with a smile, handed us our room information, and later even answered my request with the name of an excellent restaurant. After our meal, a goo workout in the exercise room, and a great night's sleep we awoke refreshed, ready for another day. As we left smiling Julie was back on duty to wish us a good day!

Loved this hotel! We are a little bit sad we didn't get to use the hot tub during our short stay, but the breakfast was good and the staff was super friendly. The room was clean and perfect and the views of the mountains were beautiful. Will stay here again when we come back to visit family.

We stayed for one night on the way to Mount Rushmore and the bedside light didn't work so we called the front desk and asked for a replacement lightbulb. The desk clerk finally found a replacement, but it turned out that someone had unplugged the bedside lamp and the lightbulb had been broken...then when my husband took a shower the next morning he said hardly any water came out of the shower we told the front desk and they managed to get the handyman in to replace the shower h... Typical Hampton with the exception of the desk clerk Tyson who was outstanding, Was treated to a Wyoming wind and lightning storm during the afternoon. Only remembrance of this was caused by the fact the hotel sits on a hill above the town. Plenty of parking, good beds, clean and reasonable. Tyson suggested we'd enjoy dining at the Sheridan, and he was quite correct. In my travels over the years I find there isn't much difference from hotel to hotel, especially in the same chains. This was the hotel chosen by the bride's mother in Sheridan, WY for the room block for the wedding. The staff was very helpful from allowing us to gather all weekend in the lobby/breakfast area. I upgraded my room to a king and changed the reservation for my kids' room very easily. The breakfast attendant worked very hard to keep everything hot and stocked for our large group. Can't beat the scenery in Sheridan!

Even though on the airmiles site it said the booking did not come with breakfast they said our booking did - which was very nice. The staff at the desk were very friendly & helpful, the rooms were very spacious (large bathrooms as well) & the beds were very comfy. This is a nice place to stay in Sheridan Wyoming. Location is convenient, just off the interstate. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Beds were freshly made and comfortable. The indoor pool was refreshing on a hot summer day, and the hot tub was equally as relaxing. Wonderful deck outside the pool area gives you a great view of Sheridan and the Big Horn Mountains. The complimentary breakfast was good, offering the typical hotel fare. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The breakfast was ok. It wasn't well stocked so we had to wait for 30 minutes for them to cook more. The bed was glorious, but there were stains on the chairs and bench... We're used to being late arrivals, not on purpose, but just because time flies when driving through a beautiful part of our beloved country. Usually it's not a problem when staying with Hampton Inns as they have a well stocked "pantry" of microwaveable dinners, etc, but Sheridan is a typical western town that rolls up the streets before 9:00 PM on most nights (including weekends), and that night was typical. We're familiar with Sheridan and if we had followed the directions I printed out from th... Read more

Had a family reunion to attend. Only stayed overnight, but was very pleased as I am with most Hilton Brand of hotels. This property must be fairly new, as the room had a "new" smell to it, very clean. If it's not a recently built hotel, then the housekeeping staff does an incredible job! "Kudos" to them! We made reservations in February to stay here for Longmire Days. Due to a flight delay, we called the office to say we'd be late arriving. We drove 5 hours to get here, and upon arrival were met with a awful surprise! They gave away our pre-paid room, even after we told them we would be delayed. We drive back and forth from Illinois to Montana every summer and have stopped many places along the way. This was our first time staying at the Hampton Inn in Sheridan. It will now be our "go to" stop. It is right beside I 90. Even though the hotel is seven years old it feels brand new. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The free breakfast was OK -- better than many along the Interstate 90 corridor. The experience felt more 'upscale" than the price we paid.

Stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Yellowstone National Park. Our room had a lovely view of the mountains, was clean but the only complaint about the room would be that the sofa bed (which is actually an armchair with a single pull out - no adult could sleep on it) was filthy to look at. This hotel was not constructed with their guests in mind. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every word from each room on both sides. The guy next to us had his TV on until 2am and then again at 5am. What is the point of a hotel if you can't sleep? I would never stay here again. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone who expects to sleep.

If you stay here, get a room ending in odd numbers, third floor if possible. Amazing views of the Big Horn Mountains!!! Otherwise, it was an OK stay. Pros: - View - Good staff - Clean Cons: - Walls seemed thinner than other Hamptons; we could hear our noisy neighbors all night long. Sometimes noise can be overcome by setting the room fan on "high", but our fan didn't seem to be working right. - Hamptons don't have my favorite breakfasts, and this one was a little skimpier than most.
