I used to travel for business quite frequently and this hotel was where I would always stay as my halfway point between the Twin Cities and Chicago.I always looked forward to it because I knew it was clean and smelled fresh. Ya, not anymore. My family and I stayed there as a halfway point on our way to the cities for our spring break trip March 2016. Not only were the hallways incredibly dirty, but so was our room. The carpets looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, the entire hotel sm... Read more

Very clean property, front desk staff very welcoming especially the gentleman working the grave yard shift. He is very professional, friendly and at your service attitude. My family and I enjoyed very much the pool and hot tub. My kids had a great time. Good verity of breakfast items with exception of dry eggs but ok. Rooms are very clean. I will recommend and definitely book at Holiday inn express for my next trip. it was worth the money. you won't be disappointed.

My family recently stayed at this hotel while in town for a Soccer tournament. The room was very clean. Continental breakfast that included hot items was a big plus! This hotel is close to the outlet mall and other attractions. Highly recommend this hotel for your next stay.

My husband & I were looking for a hotel in the Dells as a midway stop on our road trip home from Chicago to Minneapolis. We have a 4 month old baby and this was going to be her first hotel and swimming pool experience. We wanted to find a simple hotel with a pool suitable for a baby. This was perfect for us! The hotel could maybe use a little updating and the pool is kind of run down, but it was perfectly clean! We enjoyed our stay tremendously!! No loud teenagers splashing our baby or obnoxious... This was a passing through visit from a long trip with my infant and myself. Wisconsin Dells are seemed to be a logical stopping point to rest. I called first to assure I could stop in and secure a room, the gal on the phone said they had all kinds of rooms open. I proceed to drive right over, took like 2 or 3 minutes from where I was to get there. I pulled up to the front loading area of the hotel. There I see two guys out there hanging out on a vehicle smoking. Then I see the front desk ... Read more

We only had 2 days planned at the Wisconsin Dells so we wanted a hotel that had easy access and also an outdoor pool for maybe a little relaxation in the sun by the pool. The hotel was very easy to get to right off the interstate and also easy to find the downtown area and other attractions. We stopped at the hotel early (hours before check in) just to make sure our room wasn't ready and I noticed that the outdoor pools weren't filled. I asked about it at the front desk and she told me they w... Read more

When we checked in we noticed some food on the floor of our room being carried away by a pile of ants. We called and a prompt 30 minutes later maintenance came to vacuum it up. Later we found lots of crumbs, hair bands and other remnants of past guests in the room. The best was a huge smudge what I hope was toothpaste on the shower curtain. The next morning, we were abruptly asked by housekeeping if we needed anything. Caught off guard I quickly said "towels?" And they handed me a bunch never ... Read more

Arrived last week on a very hot day to find the outdoor pool is closed indefinitely. You would have to read EVERYTHING on their website VERY closely to find where is tells you this. It is buried in a paragraph towards the bottom of the page. To be fair, the indoor pool was very nice. Also, our toilet overflowed while we were there, just water, but a mess all over the floor. When we notified the front desk we were told there was no one available after 4 p.m. to take care of this issue. They b... Read more

Our family of three had a wonderful time. Our daughter is almost 4. Our room on the 3rd floor included a King bed with a sofa sleep on the other side of the wall, which allowed us to put our daughter to bed early and we could stay up and watch TV. Rooms were very clean. Elevators near by. Continental breakfast was available every morning- lots to choose from! The pool area was great! Although the outdoor poor was under construction at the time, the indoor pool was great! Very clean and they had... Read more

We stayed for two nights in June on a family trip. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say, other than the air conditioning took a few minutes to start after we checked in. All employees that I interacted with were friendly, smiling, and competent. The free breakfast was very good, we loved the automatic pancake maker. It was great to have a Keurig in the room. Outside pool is closed. That is posted on their website. However, the outside pool was full of gross green water, empty gallon bottles of chemicals, soda cans, and a beach chair. The rooms were ok. Inside pool not very nice. Small play area water feature not on. Stairs to water slide are pretty gross. The wood is black from people's hands and feet. Breakfast was chaos. Garbage cans overflowing, yogurt case empty, table sticky, chairs falling apart and the carpet was really bad. Recommend spendin... Read more

I will say we were disappointed that outdoor area was under construction. We stayed on my points for 2 nights but stayed elsewhere for 2 nights out of pocket. Our original plan was to stay here all 4, but not having outdoor area nixed that. Other than that this hotel is very clean and comfortable. The indoor area was perfect for our son. The breakfast is great as with any HIE.

After we got checked in we went to our room which was very nice and spacious. The hotel is nice, needed a bit of maintenance, but served our purpose. Staff nice, especially the gal in the breakfast area. She worked her butt off trying to keep tables cleaned off. Delarose, I think her name was. Reserved a room through their website with a king bed with sofa, and called a week prior to confirm. But they put us in a room with a king bed with an enormous hot tub which took up about 30% of the space. One thing I noticed was the room was filled with mirrors. The walls ... Read more

Hotel is very clean and the staff is outstanding! The best ever. Very friendly and polite. The breakfast is also very good. The only thing I didn't like is the floor plan for the room with the bathroom sink being in the living area. The hotel is a little bit dated but if you have kids, it's a great place with the water park. It was a new staff member so there was a few issues but it worked it self out in the end. It was only for one night over a Saturday night and I was expecting it to be bad, but in the end it was a quite night.

HI Express is our normal stop while travelling. This was the worst room ever! The sloppy and lack of professional dress at the front desk. The room smelt either like a smokers room or musty/mildew..not fresh at all. To describe or explain Wisconsin Dells to someone who hasn't been would be IMPOSSIBLE!!! Imagine, if you will, tourist Nirvana. We went on a trip so that our mom could see this destination of 40+ years ago. Suffice it to say that "things have changed". Imagine miles of tourist traps: t/shirts, fudge, old time photos, excursions, boat rides. Never seen anything like THIS PLACE. Now imagine a hotel in this place. Room was clean enough, hotel might need a bit of updating, but it was just fine. Full... Read more

No clean towels in pool room. Half the lightbulbs in the pool were burnt out, mold and mildew on the walls and ceiling. Ceiling bubbling from (leaking roof?). Bugs in the lights. Activity room closed, outdoor pool closed. Breakfast was good, and room was clean. Hotel just seemed to be somewhat 'run down' and not up to par on maintenance. Definitely what we'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express.

Pros of hotel: -In the heart of the Wisconsin Dells -GREAT indoor pool: awesome kids pool w/ a neat castle for kids to play in, nice water slide. I spend a lot of time on the road for work, spending over 200 nights a year in IHG hotels across the country. That being said I have become accustom to a certain level of expectations when staying in a hotel. This property met and exceeded my standards of a Holiday Inn Express. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. Really I have no complaints except it is in need of updating and sprucing up disparately. The carpets in the hall are worn and the out side entrance needs to be at the least painted. They had a small indoor water play ground which looked like fun for kids with a large slide. It was small but you would be able to see your kids from any where you sit. That would be nice for people with smaller children.
