Loved the staff and the rooms. Our room had a kitchen, living room with a fireplace, bedroom with a king size comfortable bed, and a nice size bathroom. The pool area looked nice too. The Continental Breakfast was good. We plan to spend a weekend here in the summer and enjoy the lake across the street.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament with many other hockey families. The place has very nice "lodge" decor and very roomy rooms. There is a continental breakfast which was nice to have but we really didn't care for the food. During our stay there were several issues with kids from another team and the owners tried to enforce the rules. But where were the parents? So I think this is a well run place and I don't want the actions of a disrespectful group to reflect negatively on this hotel. We... Read more

This was our second stay at this hotel, and we love it! If you're in the Siren/Grantsburg area this is the place hands down. Well appointed, and very clean and spacious rooms; friendly staff; right across the street from a park and a lake; on-site shopping, full-service restaurant, and even mini-golf!

We stayed here a few years ago, but since have recommended it to a few different people. The reviews are all the same. Homey, warm, inviting, huge rooms! There is a great pool with sauna. A business room overlooking the lobby (small and cozy) that can be reserved at no additional charge as well as coffee in the lobby. And they have banquet rooms (with huge, fantastic windows with a view of the lake) perfect for indoor or outdoor weddings as well as food service available. Staff is always fr... Read more

We stayed here for a friends wedding that was on-site.. What a great place for a wedding! Staff was great, rooms clean, good breakfast. I think we took over the place. Hotel has a Northwoods authenticity to it and just 'feels' like a place you'd expect to find in Siren, WI - only better!! Hope to come back another time when I have more time - but, nothing but high praise for this place.

I was travelling on business with a coworker and we were driving a route we had never been on and needed a place to stay. Did an internet search along the route and decided on the The Lodge at Crooked Lake. Sure glad we did. From the eclectic decorations in the lobby (they have over 200 antique outboard motors on display around the hotel), to the welcoming desk clerk, to the very nice clean and comfortable room it was a wonderful stay. The guest rooms are large and comfortable with a quirky ... Read more

The lodge has large, clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast offerings are good and there is outdoor seating for sunny, summer mornings. The facility is quiet with no canned music. The pool is larger than average and very clean.

While the location was very convenient for traveling families and size was perfect because I am sure we used over 1/2-3/4 of the rooms. Downfall is that you have to book for two nights. We had a jacuzzi suite and the bathroom was dated and the shower curtain was a stiff plastic, Walmart material. At a price of $200 a night we should at least have a fabric, not plastic shower liner...kinda grossed me out! Front desk staff was not super friendly, however the female staff member that worked on th... Read more

I like always to come back to this Lodge. They have put in new carpets which was necessary. Rustic wooden furniture, Lamps with nature scenes. Big rooms. Very comfortable. Their collections of old outboard motors in the lobby is very interesting. Complimentary self serve breakfast.

Tired and worn rooms/decor. Large rooms - ours with two queen beds. Mattresses are okay - just not more than a standard mattress, a little lumpy and a little hard. Do not expect a pillow top or luxury mattress. Although they have updated recently, the pillows are very firm - brick like pillows. Breakfast is available - cold cereal, toast bagels and toaster waffles, packaged 'danish', some hot items including egg rounds and sausage gravy.

We chose this place because it was reasonably close to the town where we attend an annual event; our usual motel was full up because of a wedding. It's in a convenient location on the main street of Siren, with a nice restaurant on the grounds (also some shopping, but we didn't do any.) The lobby and public areas were attractive and someone who is interested in old engines would love the displays of old outboard motors. I did not personally try the pool but others in my party enjoyed it, however... Read more

Rooms were large, & clean, Lodge had fascinating decor. Restaurant on premise has great food, reasonably priced. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Queen size room has an option for the bathroom located between the two beds, which makes it a great room for a family. There is a TV for both bedroom areas, So you can put the kids to bed and you can stay up and watch TV on your side.

Wasn't sure what to expect. Opened the door and my girl and I thought ou la la posh! The staff were great recommending places to eat and what times they closed. Comfortable room, nice decor and quiet. Awesome tv line up. Will definitely stay again when visiting her parents.

Our stay at the lodge was a very good experience. Loved the d├ęcor that was through out the lodge including the room. This lodge was decorated for the "outdoorie" and would have been ideal in a wooded outdoor setting. Was a tad disappointed with the fact that we were expecting from the name "the Lodge at Crooked Lake" that the lodge was located on a main highway not located on a lake. However, the stay was a good one. Lodge is updated.

Considering the town of Siren has a population of less than 1000, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was awesome! This rustic lodge has all the comforts of home, a budget-friendly price and a great staff. There were about 30 of us staying here altogether, and we were given use of a hospitality room which was perfect. The rooms were large and had refrigerators and coffee makers. There was also hot coffee in the lobby all day. The Lodge also has a large gathering / breakfast room, a nice pool,... Read more

We had an enjoyable time relaxing on our vacation. No time table to keep. The area is beautiful with lots of fun things to do. The Lodge did not disappoint, very well kept, very quite with many young families also staying at the Lodge. Breakfast was wonderful, good variety, all was tasty. Love, love the cabin, northwoods decor. I will book the Lodge at Cooked Lake again, hopefully soon.

I stayed at The Lodge for a retreat. I loved the lodge decor throughout the facility. We stayed in room 42 and it was huge! Everything was clean and nice. Some of the decor could be updated due to regular wear and tear. There was a mini fridge in the room but no microwave. Ammenities, there is a indoor pool, whirlpool and a sauna whicg is small but nice. The exercise room is bare minimum cheap treadmill and outdated Stairmaster. The Staff Were professional, nice, and knowledgeable. Across th... Read more

We stayed there two nights. The room was quite spacious but dark, it lacked a big ceiling lamp. When you looked into the corners are somewhere closer it was all dusty. The hotel offers a swimming pool and a jacuzzi which is cool. But the pool was so cold, colder than room temperature, that my hubby thought he'd get hypothermia. It didn't look too cleaned around the jacuzzi. The good thing about the pool area: the floor is not slippery. The breakfast was on the lower end of the scale. Our room wa... Read more

Clean, friendly. Enjoyed the spacious breakfasting room, though the actual breakfast was mid-range and had to wait for coffee. Rooms are called cabins, but they are rooms. The sitting area and sleeping area are separated by the bath which is nice, and there were Tvs in each part of our double room called Rainbow Trout cabin #9. Lots of outdoorsy decor (needing dusting), but ultimately up-to-date though our room lacked a microwave. We all like different things -- we found our bed to be too hard... Read more
