We were very surprised to sleep on an extremely hard bed all night. We read in the hotel booklet that many of the rooms had sleep number beds, but since we didn't have any remote controls, we assumed we weren't one of the lucky ones. So, we tossed and turned all night and woke up with terrible back and neck aching. When we investigated, we discovered that we DID have a sleep number bed, but with NO remotes! In fact, our bed wasn't even hooked up! We called the desk in the morning and was on... Read more

This hotel has a lovely outlook but that's where it ends. The corridors are cluttered with builders' equipment during the ongoing renovations and the builders start work at 8am. Our room was okay but the beds were hard and uncomfortable. One of the elevators is out of use for guests which adds to the inconvenience. It's like picking your way through a building site.

Sitting right on Lake Michigan, the view is amazing. Great place to run or walk. The hotel renovations are going to make it even better. The restaurant is recently remodeled and is lovely. The food was excellent at every meal, and wonderful outdoor patio. Great service at the Front Desk at the hotel! Great restaurant and housekeeping service as well.

The Marina view rooms are spacious and offer a great view. Very relaxing. The location of the hotel, on the Marina, make it a great spot to relax. The rooms on the parking side are much smaller...reminding us of a cruise ship. You definitely want to request a Marina view. The adjoining restaurant offers great food and service with a fantastic view. If you get my "drift" the best thing about this hotel is the view! Still, they have great service, nice rooms and a good restaurant.

The room we stayed in was already renovated, but the toilet leaked at the floor, the shower leaked, the door lock did not always work, the sleep-number king bed was loud and horrible and two or three other room doors on our floor were always cracked open 2" - 3" because the doors don't automatically close all the way. Actually, our door was unlocked and open when we checked in. Not worth the money, over priced and young staff. One staff member gave me a second key to my room without checking ... Read more

This hotel is being renovated. That is a good thing. However, the price on the rooms should reflect that during renovation. Also, the pillows do not match the bed size. We were in a king size bed that had a pillow the size of something you would use on your couch as a decoration. Otherwise, it appears that with the renovations it will again be a nice hotel.

Hotel under renovation, with lots of improvements needing to be completed. Toilet mount loose. No full mirror. Tight sink area. Hard water. Not room decorations in room. Entry door looked reclaimed from a war, and electric keys challenging for us and others. Slow elevator. Average restaurant with no personality. Clean room. Harbor bar was nice, with good bar tenders. We enjoyed the location for our niece's wedding in Racine. Access to restaurants on the water within walking distance was a plus. Our kids liked the pool, the walking paths along the water which led to more restaurants downtown was great. The North Beach Park was close for kids to play. The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations that made our stay really unpleasant and the price we paid was too high for rooms that were not as described. Be sure to confirm your queen room actually has queen beds not full. Be sure to confirm if your fold out couch is in fact a fold out couch. Some rooms are renovated, others are not done and you are charged the same rate regardless. Front desk staff are hit or miss, half wonderful half horrible.

I was expecting much, much more. Overall service was less then stellar with few exceptions from housekeeping, very friendly, and Josh at the front desk. The walls are thin, other guests were extremely rude. The Harbourwalk Hotel Racine is in a great location...right on the harbor! However, it is also in the midst of some remodeling, so the check-in desk was a little difficult to locate and not all the amenities were available. When we came, they checked us in, gave us our room card and we set off. Upon coming to our room, we realized there was no slot to slide it through, just a key hole. I've stayed here about 4 times over the last 10 years and, until this stay, have always enjoyed it and thought it was a good value. They recently started remodeling (without notice) and had you check in at some secondary little desk on one wing of the building. We checked in to what we thought would be a 2 queen bed room and got a dirty 2 double bed room.
