I had made the reservations several months in advance. I confirmed about a mini frig in the room 2 days in advance. The staff was accommodating to get a mini fridge when I checked in, as the room did not have one. The room was clean and comfortable. Both our room keys had to be re-keyed, and we had to wait several minutes for staff at the check-in. One critical complaint is when I arrived, there was a staff person smoking outside the entrance. It was very disgusting with smoke heavily penetra... Read more

The room was very nice, clean and roomy. The reason for the two star review is the service. I arrived in the early evening and there was no one behind the desk. I waited for over 20 minutes and the clerk came out from wherever he was when the phone rang. He answered the phone, put them on hold and walked around behind the counter and picked up the phone again. He then looked up rates on the computer for them. After he finished he then acknowledged me. I expect more from Wyndham hotels.

All Microtels are not created equal. I've stayed in several and always left with a positive impression. This time, not so much. This hotel is run down and seriously in need of a rehab. The rooms show a great deal of wear and tear. The staff wasn't unfriendly but they weren't going out of their way to be helpful either. They were just sort of there. For the price, I can't complain. I used points and received a reduced rate. But I am not likely to stay here again. This facility is not representat... Read more

The room is clean and for the price you can't beat the hotel but except for the cleaning staff and the owner the staff at the front desk saves this rating! I was charged twice by mistake and getting the owner to refund my money was like pulling teeth! I stay there a lot so he could've just given me a free stay and apologized but instead I had to call my bank and dispute the charges AFTER bringing the owner my statement! He doesn't appreciate a loyal customer!

We stayed for a night and we're very disappointed. There was no one to greet us or the other family that were waiting to check in. We waited for at least 10-15 minutes. My wife had to call the hotel and the manager picked up the phone and said he would be down stairs in a few minutes. He finally arrived and we checked in with my debit card. We stayed here two years ago and didn't like it but due to late night travel and the Janesville Microtel being booked we thought we would give this another try. It's still disappointing. The back door is still nonfunctioning like it was two years ago. That makes it frustrating to carry in luggage, a sleeping kid and a dog. And trying to hurry due to the shady looking car and people parked in the dark lot. The room was on the second floor, thats where the dog friendly rooms are. It didn't smell l... Read more

I enjoyed my stay at Microtel; however, I would like to see some of the employees be more professional. For example, we arrived for the continental breakfast at 9:00 (closes at 9:30). At 9:15, the front desk employee started putting away the food. She did ask if we needed anything else, but didn't wait for an answer. I would have liked to have until the 9:30 closing time to finish my breakfast. Watching her clean up while we ate was not appealing and we went back up to the room unsatisfied.... Read more

The staff was accommodating for the most part. I had to go to the front desk to get a plunger to fix my toilet. It would have been nice to get an apology for the inconvenience when I picked up the plunger or when I returned it. The staff member seemed a bit indifferent. The front office manager was very accommodating by allowing me a noon check out (their normal check out time is 11:00 a.m). The rate was reasonable.

I was on a business trip and the room was horrible. They promised they would fix the ripped screen and did not. I told the staff over and over again about the bugs in the room and they did nothing.

Over all was ok, but wet stain on the carpet in one room had to be avoided. (Didn't know what it was) The other room flossed from upstairs and got our clothes wet. Most hotels would have discounted or at least laundered the clothes.

On our way back home we just needed a room for the night. This hotel was close to the freeway but the room was very run down. Beds were comfy but wallpaper was falling if the walls and the bathroom walls were water stained and had paint peeling. Sure glad we didn't pay a lot for the room.
