My husband and I stayed here along with my teenage daughter. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It was spotless. Nice decor. Kitchen, small dining area, small living room, nice little deck, in room laundry, large bathroom. Pull out bed/couch. The only thing that needed some maintenance were all the dead bugs outside along the walls and in the elevator. Not hard to suck those bad boys up w a vacuum. Nice little pool and you get access to the Grand Geneva. I liked this place better than one of the ... Read more

This is an excellent place to stay. It was very clean. I like that it had a kitchen and washer and dryer in the room. It had a nice pool too. It's not far from downtown Lake Geneva. I can't wait to get back.

The rooms in the suite were very comfortable, as were the beds. The kitchens were fully stocked so you can whip meals in a snap. The décor was excellent and very inviting. My only complaint is that there is no path from the Holiday Inn side to the resort. You have to take a shuttle or drive, even though if there was a path, instead of a snow covered hill, it would be an easy walk.

We visited between seasons (after ski season, before golf season) and still there was plenty to do. Nice restaurants, spa and athletic center, indoor pools, horseback riding, etc. Four hotels have centralized reception (which isn't real apparent to the first time visitor) at the Grand Geneva. We stayed in Building 5 which was recently remodeled (some of the other reviews note that furnishings are outdated).

Room was good sized with a kitchenette and sitting area and nicely furnished (bldg 5). Bed was comfortable. Wifi was very good. Views are almost all looking out on one of the fairways. There were very few guests mid-week April so I can't say what the noise level would be. You have to check in at the Grand Geneva hotel up the hill. All the dining is up that hill as well at the Grand Geneva. Club guests have access to pretty much all the activities at the Grand Geneva without paying th... Read more

An Arizona point of view, well rested, I think not. We stayed at the Holiday Inn vacation club run by Grand Geneva resort. The room was clean, nice little kitchen and little laundry. I am sad to say that was the only positive part of our stay. Trash pickup happened 3 times during our stay. This happened mostly at 7 am (5 am AZ time). The cleaning closet was right next to the entrance of our door, every morning at 8 am the cleaning girls would chatter loudly as they stocked their carts. It's ext... Read more

After checking in and seeing the room we were not satisfied and decided to leave for another hotel. When we left no one talked to us and told us that we would not be refunded for the reservation. We would not have left if their front desk staff had done their job properly. We were then charged for a night that we did not use, and have been working with costumer service for weeks to get refunded. The honest and correct thing to do is refund us since we did not stay or use the room at all.

We stayed here for a three day weekend; and it offered everything you could possibly need! It is like renting a full apartment for 3 days!! We stayed in Building 6; which is the newest building. It was very clean and had everything you would need in the kitchen including a refrigerator, full stove, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal and several small appliances; a living room with fireplace and TV, large bedroom area, a large bathroom with shower and an additional area between the bathro... We prepaid for a room for 8 days. I was with my two daughters 530 miles away from home. Someone made a mistake and gave us ; reservations. They kicked us out at 10:00 and wouldn't let us check into the next room until 4. This was going to go on for 4 days. I was in tears. It ruined our trip! We were treated so poorly. It was unbelievable!!! I spent the days packing and unpacking. The front desk was so mean! They didn't care that we paid for 8 days. I still don't know who is in charge of this hot... Read more

We stayed here for a week, after a week in Las Vegas. What a contrast. The resort is set in a beautiful green estate. Over 1500 acres of lush country estate, with fabulous golf courses, swimming pools, spa, mountain biking course. All this and just a couple of miles from the gorgeous town of Lake Geneva. We explored all around the main resort, and further afield, Madison is an hours drive, and Milwaukee an hour the opposite way. Both are worth a trip to. Inside the resort, which was originally... Liked the spaciousness of the condo and it was in great condition. Haivng a washing machine is great. One complaint was the smell of cleaning solution in the hall way - there was much too much used and it made the common areas smell like a hospital.

Rooms sold to non-members instead of owners in .Holiday Club frustrating because why invest your dollars when they are really a hotel chain??? Check in is at the Grand Geneva resort. Took forever to get our room. In fact, past the 4 pm checkin. We arrived at 11 am. No issues anywhere before getting in early. My room key didn't work. Breaker was off for exhaust fan and tub. No explanation that we could purchase a $29 card for the MAIN resort use. Owners are not the same as those staying at ... Read more

We were told to stay at the Holiday Inn Club on the Grand Geneva grounds because it was more affordable and guests could utilize all amenities at the Grand Geneva. Well, this was not our experience; it started off with rude front desk staff at check in, simply handing us our keys and a very basic map of the large grounds. We had to find our room on our own, which was located in 1 of the 5 buildings at the Holiday Inn Club. Apparently, there is a trolley that will pick up guests and drive thr... Read more

The walls are thin and the room being open to the outside you will hear people talking loud, kids up early in the morning, cars starting etc...We had several young men arriving and leaving around 1:30 am, and kids laughing early morning which was nice to hear instead of crying but if you want to sleep in this may not be the place for you. The rooms are on golf course with beautiful views and balconies. Both times our rooms were very clean with nice kitchens and big bathrooms. We used the trolley this time, very convenient and fun. Last year we did the Geneva Club and enjoyed as well. My only complaint was this time when I checked in (after 8pm) and asked for Geneva Club, the employee gave me a sympathetic look and said I don't think you can get that if you are with Holiday Inn. Wrong. But he said a Holiday Inn person would be ... Read more

Yesteryear, comes to mind when staying at Holiday Inn Lake Geneva. Sit by the pool and be served drinks, spend time in the lobby and have a glass of wine and listen to the live piano music. Eat at a steak house on site... Well, we haven't actually made it to the restaurant and it is nice to have the option, but we have heard many good things about it, we did have wine and hors d'oeuvres in the fantastic lobby area. This is a place where the staff are definitely better dressed than the guests. We... Read more

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into our condo. We had requested a smaller one bedroom unit and we were assigned a condo that looked like it was brand new. The size was more than adequate for the 2 of us. But there was a pull-out sofa bed perfect if we had a child with us. The well-equipped kitchen was tiny but complete and the bathroom is large and has a washer & dryer in a closet. The bedroom had a king bed and a small balcony overlooking the golf course. We purchased a time share through Holiday Inn Vacation Club. Can you say BIG mistake? This is our 4th experience and they keep getting worse! We arrived today and the condo was NOT as was represented. This unit (standard one bedroom) is so small we were shocked. There is no dresser and only a built in armoire with 8 hangers ( to hang a weeks worth of clothes for two people.) There is no place for your empty suitcase except in the bottom of the amoire, which presents a problem because now the cl... Read more

Our son in law is a member of Holiday Inn Club Vacations and this is the third property we have had the pleasure of visiting. We enjoyed our week at the resort. The property itself is beautiful with all rooms facing the golf course. We had a deluxe 2 bedroom suite and a 1 bedroom. We were in building 5-6 3rd floor for the deluxe and 4th floor for the 1 bedroom. I have 2 kudos for the staff. One gets all of the amenities of the resort in a homelike setting. View of golf course is unprecedented. Units are always clean and well appointed. Problem with disposal corrected quickly and effectively. Two issues that annoy us every year. There is not a current and accurate TV listing. We opted to not stay at the Grand Geneva to try to enjoy some couple time and attend the conference. That was our first mistake. We were not advised when booking that there would be no amenities provided for our stay or that we needed to check in at the Grand Geneva but don't expect their customer services because they are not related even though they give you a map and Spa Service handouts like you are a part of the Grand Geneva. I am a Holiday Inn Club Vacation Member. This is my honest review of my stay at Lake Geneva. This is not a review of the vacation club. Check In: I believe the little things matter as much as the big things. Registration was difficult to find. I was not greeted in any way as a member. Instead, I felt like a third class citizen. As a retired couple we try to get away as often as we can. Being retired provides us with the luxury of taking short trips to popular destinations when the crowds are thin. I had read other reviews so I already was prepared to check in the the Grand Geneva registration area. The HI Club Vacations property is just a short drive down t... Read more
