I was disappointed with my recent stay. The biggest problem is the room was extremely hot and there was no way to turn on the air. I was given a fan, which took the edge off. In my opinion, if you are paying $125 for a room, you should be able to control the climate in your room to get a good night of sleep. Also, the hotel was very dated and the sheets and towels were poor quality. If I were paying much less for the room I could understand, but again I felt this room was way over priced f... Read more

The pool looks very nice in the pictures but it is so crowded with so many kids you can't have a good time. The hotel has outsiders rent the pool that are not guests which makes it worse. There was close to 25 people in the hot tub the whole night. Don't let the pictures fool you.

Was fooled by the updated check in area but disappointed that the rooms were NOT. Hotel is older and elevator is tiny and in a corner. Rooms needs work and no updated heating and cooling system which was very disappointing. For the price I paid it should have been in much better condition. Buyer beware.

We have stayed here numerous times and the stays have always been average. I use Wyndham points so usually get a discount. Last stay the heat was out in the pool area. This stay they said the heat was out throughout the hotel. It was unseasonably cold so we were offered another blanket! I was told at check in a boiler was out?????? But when we got to our room the switch on the heating/cooling unit was locked to "summer".??? The pool was overrun with kids from birthday parties, adults sitting in... Read more

The staff is nice, but NO heat for six nights! WAY TOO MUCH Chlorine in the pool and hot tub. It ruined my Swimsuit and gave the lady and her child chemical burns in the room next to me. No Security, they took the locks out of all the doors leading outside, (when you should have to use your Ramada key card to get back in. Walls paper thin. I could hear the TV next door, the vending machine at 1 and 2 a.m. ECT. Too much to write about.

Recently had a two nigh stay. Housekeeping came through after our first night stay. Came back to our room, after a day out, pulled the covers back to crawl under the covers only to find a hard contact, and a paste substance in/on what was to be fresh clean sheets. The attendants were very apologetic, and quickly resolved the matter. It just should have never happened in the first place.

However the air conditioning was not working on the weekend that we stayed and the heat was +90. Not very comfortable. Hotel seems to be deteriorating in condition as well.

This hotel is being remodeled but is in very poor condition. First the good things: the front desk attendant was very nice. The bathroom was updated and generally clean. The bed was comfortable. Now the areas to improve: There were many serious problems. The side door to the building (which supposedly required a key access) was missing the lock. Completely accessible from the outside. We had an outlet with an exposed wire. Two lampshades were broken and the cover on the heater was broken. Not r... Read more

I stayed at the Ramada this weekend as part of a large wedding party (we had a large block of rooms, including a suite). Upon checkin, the first thing I saw in my room was a centipede as big as a credit card (not an exaggeration). I approached someone from housekeeping to kill it, and she brought in another lady. The second lady walked in the room saying, "That little b**tard, just wait. Little b**tard." She took her shoes off, stood on the bed (on the pillow) to kill it, then left grumbling abo... Read more

No refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. Rooms smelled of smoke and cigarettes. They moved us and did find a fridge for my medication... thank goodness! They also promised to give us a discount for all the trouble and hassles but nothing yet. I also could not connect to the Internet.

The hallway to our room was very dark and the carpet was torn up. Once we got into our room it had a very distinct odor so we immediately had to open the window to air it out. There was no mini fridge in our room and there was no restaurant or bar even though the website said it had a bar and restaurant.

The hotel was nice, kinda dated a bit, but it is under construction for renovations. Check-in staff was friendly and the pool was nice, weed check into a king suite and the room was nice enough. When I brought out my UV flashlight to check my sheets, as I normally do at every Hotel, I noticed splotches of human bodily fluid on some of the accent linens at the foot of the bed and up at the headboard, both splotches were some sort of bodily fluid. Then I found more on the huge a bed couch cushions... Read more

I live in Madison so I don't really need to stay in a hotel in Janesville. But I was coming down for a wedding and I didn't know how late me and my guest would stay. So we made a reservation under the Brides' reservation block price. The price was about 20-30 dollars less then quoted on line. We needed an accessible room and that did not change the price. The check in process was easy. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful and friendly. When we were getting ready to make it to the w... Read more

To be fair, we did not select this hotel so no research was done on our part. This was where my daughter's softball team manager booked a block of rooms for a softball tournament. I do not ever plan on revisiting this hotel again. Our room smelled, the walls and carpeting throughout the entire hotel looked rough (I never took my shoes off) patched ceilings and walls, bad tile/countertop repairs... The hotel did have a sign that stated please excuse our dust we are renovating. If the entire hotel... Read more

Check in took quite about 20 minutes because of only 1 person on duty and others checking in. The room was indoor pool side but it was quiet. The room was not very clean. The 2 chairs at the table were very dirty and the carpeting could use a deep cleaning. The bathroom was very small but the shower worked well and the towels were clean. The bed linens were clean and comfortable. Good selection of TV channels. Only 2 electrical plug-ins between the beds were not enough for 2 phones and 2 laptop... Read more

first of all, check in was a disaster. my room was not ready and the person checking us in seem to have no idea what he was doing. the heat in our room did not work and there were bugs in our bathtub so neither of us showered in the morning. would not stay here ever again.

When we checked into the Ramada I was upset to learn that the bar/lounge/restaurant were closed for renovations. We had to leave after a long travel day to eat elsewhere but upon our return we basically had the spa & pool to ourselves til it closed at 10-10:30. We experienced a couple of hiccups like the heater needed relighting and the bathtub needed to be unclogged but the staff made certain these items were taken care of immediately. The staff was awesome and made our stay very pleasurable... Read more

The staff here have been wonderful. The hotel is another story but a definite work in progress. They are remodeling which is waaaay overdue. The bed in the room was comfy enough but the rest of the room has seen better days. The mini fridge looks like it has been drug behind a truck clear across the country but it did work. As dingy as the room looked there were no smells of any sort. The indoor pool area is nice. I will say the contract help doing the remodel were as nice as the staff ,Especia... Read more

The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I was able to switch my rooms to adjoining rooms once I realized that was an option. My children and their friends enjoyed the pool area all evening and the rooms were clean and spacious. I do wish there had been some kind of breakfast available.

We were in town for a family wedding and looking forward to a nice room with whirlpool bath and fireplace. Room was dirty, fireplace didn't work, window air condtioner didn't work, heater unit blew slightly warm air and I killed 3 different kinds of bugs. Oh the world series was on but the cable wire was loose & the game would go on and off. The bar & restaurant were closed for remodeling. First of all I want to note that the staff was top notch, no problems with the crew. I did notice the lobby was modernized, and the pool atrium was great. The room left a great deal to be desired as the bathroom fan motor hummed when turned on, but did not rotate (a fire hazard), the heater/ AC unit was missing the knobs so I was not able to cool the room down, the mattress was old and very uncomfortable, and the decades old smell of tobacco smoke was still present in the room. The price was abo... Read more

When I checked in, I was not expecting to be given a Suite. It was very nice and roomy. However, it was fairly cold in the room, and the heater did not function very well. There was a fire place, which I had to turn on, as there was a very cold draft going up the fire place. There as supposed to be a timer on the fire place, but it just kept on running. After two days when I was ready to check out, it was still running. Of course, I reported this to the front desk.

I was simply amazed at how kind the front desk staff person was. She made check in simple. I was hopeful as I walked to my room finding the decor dingy. I kept thinking I was going to see insects crawling about but never did. The window AC/Heat is old, rattling, analog, and the knobs/buttons stick. The heat kicked on right away which surprised me. Shocked the bathroom made code because you can't open the door all the way since it hits the toilet. But, after an excellent night's sleep, lots of pi... Read more

We did not have a reservation, but there were plenty of rooms available upon check-in. The cost of the room we stayed in was much too expensive. We felt duped/taken advantaged of. We did not know that there were pool-side rooms and we did not ask for one. We didn't know we had a pool-side room until we went to our room. Obviously a pool-side room is more expensive and we would not have booked it had I booked online. We were too exhausted from travel to deal with the hassle of switching rooms.

I stay once/twice a year and it's mostly been ok, but this time I was deeply disappointed. Restaurant/bar was closed for remodeling (I never saw ANY workers there the entire week) and they didn't so anything to make up for it. No continental breakfast, no snacks, nothing. The front desk help was bitter and avoiding eye contact the whole time. And then, to cap the experience, my room was obviously a converted storeroom (the dimensions were strange and the TV was way across the room; complete aft... Read more

The website and lobby still advertise an onsite restaurant and bar that is now closed. I did receive a discount, but that required three discussions with the staff and manager even though they advertised $10 off per night on the lowest price available. The indoor pool was great for kids staying there, but our suite smelled from the chlorine. The recliner and one chair was broken in the room. The manager made a note of it and said that they would be remodeling soon and getting all new furniture... Read more
