From the reservation clerk, the reception people and the ladies in the morning dining room all were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, and generally quiet, breakfast was better than many Hampton Inns. Wanted to try Maloney's Pub in town (best in Trip A.) but they were closed for a private party. We posted this review last year and the same comments hold true for our stay this year in February, 2016. "This is a halfway point on our trip down to Myrtle Beach. Each year we stay here and continue to be amazed at the cleanliness of this hotel. While it is one of the older Hampton's the attention to cleanliness is very much appreciated. All Hampton's could take lessons from this one - it is the cleanest ever! Room Tip: Book ahead if traveling through Summerville at the end or beginning of t... Read more

Spent one night here for business. Hotel staff was great, hotel was clean and convenient for my needs. Rooms, common areas a bit dated. Lots of green - carpet in hallway and rooms, elevator walls. Bathroom wall paper had mauve and sea foam green design - same thing we had at home in the 90's. Bathroom fixtures starting to show some wear - hair line crack in sink, etc. Room furniture in great shape, just dated. Fitness center was new, with awesome treadmill and stair climber, plus an extensive se... Read more

Check-in was a breeze with the online check-in option. Loved that feature! On arrival we were pleased to see that the lobby is update and was very well decorated, as was the breakfast area. In the morning, we found the breakfast food area a tight space - people had a hard time moving around, and the seating area, although very nice, is kind of small. Our room did not have a mini-fridge, microwave and desk for our laptop, which was diappointing; however it was clean and we had a comfortable s... Read more

Love staying at Hampton Inns because they give the comfort of home. This Hampton is a perfect stopping place on our trip to Pennsylvania. Great bedding, clean rooms, good internet, and close to restaurants. The staff is friendly and accomodating. I will stay there again!

Poor quality for a Hampton . Rooms old, only 1 elevator and it was out of order at the 2nd day of our stay. The only redeeming facts were the staff was good and the breakfast decent. Surprised Hilton would allow such a low quality establishment to carry their name. They need to bring this place up to par!!

The biggest complaint for the rooms is that they do not have a small fridge in them, which makes traveling with a 18 month old who needs milk in the middle of the night easy, we had to fill up the ice bucket to keep the milk cold for the baby. The hotel could use some upgrades. The breakfast in the morning had many options and the food was good. The front desk staff was very friendly but housekeeping was not overly ambitious to go above and beyond.

We stayed overnight at the hotel while traveling north on Route 19. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the hotel immaculately clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and afforded a good night's sleep. The king rooms have a king bed, sofa and flat screen TV along with a desk. Negatives are that the rooms do not have a refrigerator nor a microwave. We packed our cooler with ice so our food and drinks would stay cold. We stopped in at the Hampton Inn recently, on our wake back from Myrtle Beach and the Carolina's. We found the staff to be very nice, courteous and efficient. The hotel is well kept and clean. Everything worked fine and they were more than happy to bring us up a small fridge for my wife's Meds. The pool was just a tad cool as it had rained a bit earlier. Good location. After 3 days at the Baymont Inn, I switched to the Hampton Inn. I am so very happy I did. This is a smaller hotel and caters to a slightly different clientele (read "not reunion groups") and was quieter. They kept the breakfast buffet stocked until closing time. The attendant assured me that the 2nd floor was a non-pet floor and the entire hotel was 100% smoke free. It definitely was not! I appreciate the nice setup when traveling with our dog. Well tended grassy area w/bags provided. Also a no smoking facility that is clean. Too many places assume if you have a dog you shouldn't mind a grungy room or smoking being allowed. Our room was clean! There was no added pet charge either. The plus side to this hotel is that it is a good location off of US 19 in Summersville, The e-check-in process was seamless and the staff was friendly. Although the room appeared clean, the green carpet, peeling wallpaper and dated furnishings immediately turned us off.
