Located in town. There are several restaurants close. Applebee's next door. Boston Beanery and Texas Roadhouse close. Good hotel, a little dated. Under some type of construction caution tape around entrance. Just a bit frayed around the edges but good place to stay. Very helpful and friendly staff.

This stay was actually very strange. The hotel outdoes itself in some respects: breakfast, infused water, cookies, coffee/tea bar, friendliness, etc. but it is obviously an older hotel and the most important aspect of a hotel is overlooked: beds. Rooms with two beds are only doubles and, rather than the customary uber-comfy Hampton beds, these were squishy, narrow, and every move was magnified. The hotel is nicely updated, but they could do with a deep clean of everything.

I always stay at Hampton Inns because I know I will have a clean room, clean bathroom and clean bed. I always check for critters and have never had a problem at every Hampton Inn where I have stayed. I also enjoy the breakfast in the morning I know it will be a full meal and not a bowl of cereal or a donut. I also enjoy the coffee as there is no limit on the number of times you can refill your cup. Hotel personnel are always friendly and helpful. I can never remember my Hilton Honors number... Read more

We stayed here for a wedding last weekend and were not impressed. We are HHonors members and frequently stay at Hampton Inns because of the quality. The first room we were in smelled like a wet dog and set off my allergies. We were told that no pets were allowed in the hotel and they gave us another room. Over the next 2 days we saw 4 different dogs in the halls and on the elevators (when asked none of them were service dogs). My sister's room also set off my allergies (I am allergic to cats and... My wife was having surgery at Ruby Memorial Hospital. This facility is just around the corner and was very convienent. Room was clean and comfortable. Places to eat were near by. I have stayed at Hampton Inn Morgantown three years in a row now, each for a single week. I have to travel to Morgantown WV once per year on business. I thorrowly enjoyed my stay each time. It is low frills which keeps the price reasonable. It is extremely clean. The layout is well designed. The rooms are spacious. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding. The food served during the buffet breakfast was more than adequate. There were plenty of places to eat or shop within walking distance of the inn. Overall the stay was reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and met expectations. Motorcycle group staying at the location loitered around the entrance most of the evening drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking and conversing. First time to stay in handicapped accessible room at this hotel. It was the only one available. The springs in the bed were shot. My advice, don't take Room 105. If you are not handicapped when you sleep in that bed, you may be when you leave. We stayed in other rooms in this hotel many times and they were fine. We even go out of our way to stay at this hotel.

Staff was excellent. Could have used a refrigerator in the room. Complimentary WiFi and Breakfast. Key location if your child attends WVU. No restaurant or bar, but right next door to Applebees. If booked far enough in advance, great prices available.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Morgantown WV for a single night for business and found the staff was very friendly, rooms clean, and breakfast had lots of variety and was very good. This was great proximity to WVU and the health system.
