This hotel was so worth the price, which I must say was reasonable. It was clean, comfortable, and the staff were all so helpful and nice. I have stayed at way more expensive hotels and the service was no where near as good..The breakfast was first rate and and there was a large selection and the attendant was there always making sure that things were just right. The staff at this hotel could teach a thing or two to some other places I have been. Great job and a great stay!!

I've stayed at this facility many times. They appear to have massive employee turnover - never the same faces. And not very friendly. Last stay required me to wait in the lobby 1 hour and 35 minutes for my room due to housekeeping shortage. They told me twice it would only be a few minutes. To their credit, management voluntarily cut price 1/2.

Parking well arranged. I always feel welcome bby the staff and find ALL staff members to be very responsive to guests requirements.

We have stayed many times at this Hampton Inn and have always been very pleased with the service and accommodations. The rooms are always clean and well equipped with linens, towels, extra glasses and incidentals. The complimentary breakfast is always excellent. There is a very good variety of items and the dining area and buffet area are very clean.

If you have stay at this Hampton in the past and did not have the best experience, you may want to try again. The Martinsburg Hampton is greatly improved! The breakfast was wonderful. The room was very clean and fruit and cookies were provided and were refilled for those arriving later. The hotel is centrally located near the mall with many restaurant choices.

This was a great place to stop and get some rest on a tough drive from N.Y., N.Y.. Very friendly check in, clean room, free wfi, and an adquate breakfast. The property is very convenient to restaurants in town and it is just off the freeway. We had a first floor room and didn't here a thing during the night. Very quiet.

I stayed here after reading previous positive reviews, but I couldn't disagree with them more. At the front desk I asked if I was assigned a quiet room away from freeway noise and the clerk assured me I had. I am on the fifth floor facing the freeway and I hear every passing vehicle. In addition, I have a refrigerator in the room which makes a continuous, obnoxious noise. I doubt if I will get the rest I need to continue on my trip. Also, housekeeping failed to thoroughly clean the bathroom. ... Read more

Hampton at Martinsburg is starting to show wear and tear of many Hampton Inns. It needs new carpeting and general cleanup. Our stay was OK. It was quiet, good breakfast. Staff, except for morning we left friendly and courteous. Breakfast area was out of coffee when we came down, could not find breakfast attendant, so asked front desk person and got a curt, it will be out soon. The first room we were in (505) was disappointing upon arrival and things went down hill from there. The bathroom was missing a hair dryer and even the mount for it was missing. I had to call the front desk and they brought one up immediately which was good. Later on, I noticed the drain in the bathroom sink was almost completely clogged (did not report this). The Hampton Inn at Martinsburg is right off the interstate and we had a nice one-night stay there. Driving up we got a slightly bad impression as it seemed to be change of shift and several employees were sitting on the curb at the entrance smoking and perhaps waiting for rides. But the lobby was very pleasant and the desk staff were helpful--with extra towels, information about the accessible room we request and answers to questions. The accessible room was fairly tight in space --it would h... Read more

I was reconnecting with high school and business friends on this visit, and really did not know the quality of the Hampton at the different location. Next time, I'd like to evaluate how close to the racetrack and items of interest so I know which Hampton is best. Entirely my fault. The first Hampton I went to was very small and off Route 81 so we transferred closer to Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

An easy to get to Hampton Inn just of 81 and close to several restaurants. We really appreciate knowing what you'll get - a friendly staff, a clean room and a quick breakfast. However, this is the first place in many travels when we haven't had a refrigerator in our room. When I commented on it when we checked out I was told it was because we had a sofa bed in the room. Interesting, but not satisfactory.

The only thing I can add is that the clients to this hotel should be aware of the doors that they let slam shut, especially in the later hours of the night can wake up other clients.

Everything was excellent with one critical exception. I got rashes from the pillows; I used cotton bath towels over the pillows to avoid recurrence. I informed the hotel staff, however no corrective action was taken. Could not confirm whether it was the synthetic fabric or the detergent. I believe the former is more likely since the towels worked. Option of all 100% cotton covers would have likely avoided the issue in my case.

I've always had good luck with Hampton accommodations. This hotel is under renovation while trying to remain open. Not good.
