During the hectic graduation season at WV I stayed at the Red Roof. Not normally the hotel/motel of my choice but I was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff at check in and an nice clean room. Apparently remodeling has been done (may even still be in the process) - Wood design vinyl floors, carpet just around be area and square sinks that sit atop the granite counters. Only minus's would be - no box of tissue (the tiny travel pack doesn't cut it), great shower head but difficult to adjust(yo... Read more

While traveling through West Virginia, Expedia directed us to the Red a Roof. We were pleasantly surprised, we had a ground floor room which was great for taking the dogs for a walk. The hotel does not charge extra for the pups. Staff was friendly and the hotel was on a hill looking over the interstate. Met our needs perfectly. Great deal.

The room simple but was clean and comfortable. Toilet was unusually loud when running. The remote needed batteries. A staff member arrived within minutes of our call to the lobby with a new remote. Locate at the top of a steep hill. Could be tricking in icy weather.

Good clean room, great coffee in the lobby. Small microwave & tall dorm style fridge in room. Wifi worked well (has been a problem at other Red Roofs) but that may be a result of having a room near the office. Love the bowed out shower curtain rods, gives you a lot more space in the shower. Beware of the drain strip across the road at the bottom of the hiil--> extremely bumpy, especially when leaving.

The room were very clean, well stocked and many extras such as refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, alarm clock, phone, tv, internet, movies to rent, coffee pot, quiet and great service. Will definitely stay there again if in the area. No complaints and the room was clean and they have remodeled them so they are nice and fresh.

We were moving my daughter into an apartment off the West Virginia University Campus on the same week of graduation. Needless to say any hotel in WVU was going to be double what the usually charge so we went about 20 min south to Fairmont but even those hotels were very pricey! (I mean even Microtel was charging 140/night!) Red Roof though was surprisingly reasonable (about 70/night). The room was clean and was fairly quiet and had a fridge and microwave along with a safe. Close to the highway... Read more

The staff are so nice and actually care. They called my room to make sure I was happy with it. I have only good things to write about this Red Roof Inn. My room was very clean, fresh, comfortable and close to nice restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 1/2 week in June while we were temporarily relocating for his job. We had our two small dachshunds with us, and the front desk staff went out of their way to love on my pups every day! Angie and Alex are great and quick to respond if there are any troubles at all. The new counter top and sink renovations they are finishing up look great! It will be a nice amenity to their hotel. Coffee bar in the lobby was frequented throughout our time there:) House keeping c... Read more

When traveling we like to stay at Red Roof Inns. The price is always great and the rooms very clean. We stopped here for one night on our way home to Canada. Alex at the front desk was very helpful and even called our room once we were settle to check on us and see if we needed anything. We are planning on staying at this hotel again and will try a to book the same room each time as the location was great. Check out was fast and staff very friendly.

I was expecting far less for the price. The room was very clean and up-to-date. It was as nice as many more expensive hotels. We were on a road trip and only stopped to sleep, but the room was comfortable and spacious enough that we would have been comfortable there for a much longer trip. The staff was extremely friendly at check in and made it an enjoyable experience, which was welcome after a long day on the road.

I had a reservation at another hotel 20 miles away. The hotel was the worst room I had ever been in. I searched the next day and found The Red Roof Inn, mostly due to the affordability of the room. The front desk clerk was friendly and made me feel very welcome. The room was exactly as pictured. Clean and affordable! Will definitely go back!

We were in Fairmont, West Virginia on family business and booked into the Red Roof Inn. We had with us two very small chihauhaus. We knew that the littlest one was in poor health as we had been to the vet several days before, He was 9 years old with congestive heart failure and could die at any time. The hotel is pet friendly and there was a dog show in town, so a lot of dogs were there. Affter being there one week, our little one passed away. Imagine our surprise, when the day manager (Dia... Friendly staff, clean rooms, pet friendly, nice coffee, excellent location, etc, etc! The Red Roof Inn Fairmont has all of it and more... Gas stations, grocery stores, eateries, interstate, etc are within 5 minute drive. A must stop for us on the way to the south and back to Canada.

I usually prefer reviews by people level 3 or higher to be confident about the review. I was not disappointed. The hotel was clean, especially the bathroom with pure white calking. The room had a small fridge, micro wave and safe.. The bed was reasonable. You can park in front of your room if on the main floor. This room was good value for the money and I would stay again.. The hotel needs a continental breakfast to keep up with the competition.

We pulled in late evening looking for a place to spend the night. The lady in the office that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She gave some honest recommendations for places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was that there wasn't a box of tissues in the room, just a travel pack on the counter. Never seen that before! The place is way up on a hill and may be hard to find if you're not paying attention. Overall a pleasant stay and we would come again.

Clean room but not the best smelling place upon opening the door. Had the basic necessities. We wish they had adjoining rooms for our large family of 7. No locks on the bathroom door and the shower head sprayed all over and soaked the bathroom floor, toilet and everything else in it. Not a horrible stay but very very basic. Worth the price.

I had the most excellent experience.. Tom at the front desk was so helpful and caring . I came from another hotel that treated me horribly. Tom calmed me down and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I even stayed another day because of the great service I receive. I recommend everyone to stay there. AWESOME STAY!!!!

My car broke down and I was stranded off the interstate 11 miles from Fairmont. When I called to book a room, Angie was extremely kind, taking my reservation and helping me figure out how to get to the hotel after my car was towed. I arrived with my adult son and a kitten in tow and she offered us a piece of the pizza she had just gotten. We were very hungry! It meant so much to me to be treated so kindly during a difficult situation. We stayed another day while our car situation worked itself. ... Read more

I rate "very good" as it was clean which is most important however I would rate overall "good" rather than "very good" or "average." It is located on a steep hill but right off the interstate. It was difficult to find in the dark so I would suggest better signage on the frontage road. It was fine for an overnight stop, lots of eateries nearby and Walmart about 1/2 mile away. No breakfast, WIFI OK. Staff friendly. We got our accessible room with parking just outside the door.

We've stayed here several times and have plans on staying again soon. It's always our 1st choice to stay for WVU sports to avoid the hectic area (and prices) of staying in Morgantown. Our last stay the manager was extremely helpful and both ladies at the desk was so nice. Rooms are very clean and newly renovated with hard wood floors. Beds, pillows very comfortable. A/c worked great, bathroom is a bit small but it didn't bother us at all. Several restaurants in the area, gas station, and a Wa... Read more

Spent one night at this location on our trip to WV with my parents. I used a free night certificate I got from Redicard points so obviously value was great. Check-in took a lil while but staff was otherwise occupied when I got there. I had to take some stuff to my fiance for his job. I booked this location with the plan of spending one night & leaving. The place was clean & quiet. Nice rooms. The desk staff was very friendly, especially Angie. After a long drive she was able to help me smile. She was also very helpful in rebooking the room for a second night. Recommended places to eat & that we tour the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Would certainly stay there again if the opportunity arose.

I have stayed here twice in the past 3 months. It is the perfect overnight stopover for myself and my dog. I can park right outside the door and it is easy to move the dog from the car to the room. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and well stocked. Just about any kind of shopping you would need is nearby. Hotel is just off the interstate but a bit hard to find in the dark. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel had been renovated in since my last visit. It is fresh, clean, and very quiet. No outside noises to hinder a restful sleep. Nice variety of restaurants close by. Plenty of outlets to recharge your electronic devices. Of note: The signage is on the far side of the entrance when approaching from the interstate so easy to miss the driveway. Would I return to this hotel? Definitely!

Travel from Toronto to Florida every year for 11 years. Always stay at red roof because of pet friendliness. Never been to this one before. Within 30 seconds of being at the front desk felt like we were part of the family. Angie was amazing, we were tired and had been on the road for a long time, she was a breath of fresh air. Clean renovated rooms. We will ALWAYS stop here even if it makes our next day on the road a little longer.

Good location, decent amenities, very friendly staff, dirty room with bugs. The only thing that needs to be changed is the cleanliness and the desperate need for an exterminator. We were under the impression that the chain kept some quality control, but this one must must be flying under the radar. The front staff is extremely friendly!

This low cost motel was modern, clean and well equipped. Bed was excellent. Refrigerator and microwave and good computer desk. Excellent buy! Red Roof allows dogs which is what attracts me. Courteous staff. Only downside is that road is hard to find in the dark on back roads.
