We traveled to the area for a school graduation. When we booked, no one mentioned that the hotel was under construction and or renovation. When we got there place to park. We tried to find another hotel with less congestion. But everything else was booked and we were just aggravated that they did not tell us they were renovating or constructing will be booked our stay. We would have chosen to stay someplace else.

We were spending three days in West Virginia and decided to stay at this hotel. The hotel was nice and the front desk staff was some of the nicest we have encountered! They were so welcoming and went above and beyond when we had some guests stop by. Our room was clean and we had nice amenities. The bed was comfy like they usually are in Hampton Inns. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!

Even though exterior remodeling was in progress, the staff just hunkered down and went out of their way to accommodate our arrival. Facilities inside were all updated and ready for us. I was treated like an honored guest. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was better than expected for complimentary style breakfasts.

Hampton Inn is always consistent with cleanliness, great staff and the "above and beyond" attitude. We stayed 3 nights and had NO trouble what so ever. Every time we asked for water, directions, more lotion or anything was gladly provided. They were doing remodeling outside but it did not cause any inconvenience for the guests. This is going to be a lovely hotel when the outside is finished.

The Barboursville Hampton Inn staff was exceptionally friendly and the property was very clean even with the exterior remodeling going on. Laura at the front desk was very helpful and Timmy remembered our names a couple days after we checked in. I had to get one key reset and it was no prblem. During the evening I asked if they had another kind of soap since the scent of the Neutrogena bar soap was not agreeable to me. The front desk person checked and gave me some Neutrogena Bath Gel which had ... Read more

Hampton Inn's are just familiar places to stay, especially when driving through an unknown area so it was great to find one on my drive with ease to the facility, rooms, and helpful staff. Not inexpensive but familiarity sometimes has to override price. Rooms and staff as one expects and that's comfort.

The room had nice bedding on the comfortable king bed. The bathroom had a granite counter top, planty of towels, with a great shower/bath. There was a slight unpleasant smell in the room when we first walked in, but otherwise it was a nice room. The complimentary breakfast had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, and other standard items. It as nice and well maintained by the staff.

Although the parking lot was under construction there was no problem getting into the lobby. The whole area was clean and welcoming. The room was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. The breakfast had quite a variety of choices and was fresh and good.

I have stayed at this hotel for both business and pleasure. Hamptons gives you a consistent level of quality. When you make a reservation, you know what you are getting. A clean room, friendly staff, a hot breakfast and value for your room. This hotel met all the elements of a good stay. I have stayed here for both business with my team and for personnel travel, and if in the area will stay again.

I made this reservation for my husband when he traveled cross country. On the way east he stayed at another hotel. He did not like the noise level. So on the return trip, I booked this room for him. We are enrolled in Hilton Honors. The HH price was GREAT. I received an email that allowed me to check him in online. I called the hotel directly to ask for a quiet room. We opted for the top floor and away from the remodeling noise. The desk person was very specific to explain the type of no... Read more

This was a great experience, from the lobby to the room to the staff to the quality of the internet and to the complimentary breakfast; all aspects made for a good nights rest and good morning. I highly recommend this location. I was a last minute late-comer to the hotel and they were very accommodating.

This one has been under "facelift" status for quite some time but I can't fault them for that. I wish there were more consistency between HI locations. For example, two things that I love at most HI's are missing at this property: Make up remover wipes as part of the bathroom amenities A power hubstation where you can plug in from USB. That is important to me but none to be found in my room. Perhaps when renovations are done my suggestions will be added:) Also there was something splattered o... Read more

This hotel was an older Hampton being renovated. In a congested area near a mall. While the staff was friendly the construction equipment and parking congestion made the stay only average. The hallways were very "brown" . The room had been freshly painted.

As we ended up here on a Sunday night, there was no work going on so renovation work other people mention was not an issue. Not sure where renovation is actually being done, but the parts of this hotel we saw were up to latest Hampton Inn standards. Exceptionally helpful and friendly front desk attendant (kudos to Max). Our party of 6 in 3 rooms was quickly checked in. At the end of a long motorcycle riding day in hot weather, the pool was a welcome relief. Conveniently located with restaur... Read more

Still an ok location but as others have reviewed, check on the ongoing renovation. The Inn, at least when we booked, did not have that information on its web site. We overcame all of it ok but for some could cause some inconvenience. Staff were cooperative on where we could park etc.

I have been staying at this hotel during my travels for many years. I always know I am going to receive quality service, friendly staff, and a CLEAN room! I sometimes travel alone, and feel safe staying at this hotel. A good choice of restaurants, and shopping nearby. I shall always return because I know my stay will be comfortable!

Another great Hampton Inn. I love staying at the various Hampton Inns. They are always clean and the staff are always helpful and friendly. This Hampton Inn was no exception. The front desk clerk made you feel very welcome and provided information for dinner. The room was clean and the bed was great. I slept so good and usually I don't sleep well the first night I'm traveling.

My husband and I were extremely impressed with this hotel. Check in was streamlined because of the online process. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. My only real complaint with the room was the noisy air conditioner unit which was near one of the beds but we will definitely choose this hotel if we are ever in the area again.

Spent the night while in the area. This is your typical Hampton Inn. The staff was very friendly but the place needed some attention. In several places including the elevator trash/paper was in the floor. Room was comfortable but the pillows weren't up to many of the Hamptons I've stayed in. Decent breakfast and handy to the Cracker Barrel next door.

The hotel lobby and staff were great, but the entire stay there was no hot water. Cold showers! The room was clean and fresh upon my arrival. Air conditonor was set at 62 degrees, which even in mid July is a little cool. But the bathroom fixtures were in poor working condition. There was no hot water, even after letting the water run for more than 10 minutes. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would not stay here again.

My son and I stayed at this hotel while traveling from KY to Washington DC. It was super nice! Our room was immaculate! Very clean beds, carpet, and bathrooms. Free wifi and free breakfast just topped it off! We were only there for a quick overnight trip, but I'd highly recommend if you're ever looking for accommodations in the area. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area to choose from, as well.

A Cracker Barrel is right next door, and several more options across the street, and also Huntington Mall is very close.

Excellent hotel in West Virginia. We stayed here prior to a week of camping in Barboursville while visiting friends in Milton. I walked in and was able to get a room immediately. I like Hampton Inns in general. As a rule, the rooms are clean, the beds are fresh and comfortable, the free breakfast is better than average, the staff is pleasant. All of the for a reasonable price. This Hampton Inn met that criteria. I stayed here as a stopover on the way to somewhere else, and chose it for the location right off the highway and halfway to my destination, the brand, and because it had a Cracker Barrel in the parking lot. Our room was very clean and adequate for our one-night stay. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the breakfast area. We travel frequently and have seen breakfast areas that were very dirty, but not here. Everything was super clean and neatly presented. The food was typical of a hotel in this price range. Staff members were friendly and greeted us. We would recommend this hotel without question.

The staff at this hotel couldn't have been nicer and more interested in making sure our stay was great. The cask plus points value mid week at this hotel made it attractive to us. I've stayed at just about every hotel in Barboursville. The Hampton Inn is probably the best hotel there. It is super clean, updated, has a nice (free)breakfast, coffee in the lobby all day and every employee I ran into was genuinely super nice (and competent). Things I don't care for are, the beds are firm and I wish they accepted pets (but I can understand why they don't).

A really nice hotel! We stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was the usual Hampton offerings but it was very good. Appropriately hot and cold. It was super busy on Saturday morning for breakfast and we couldn't find a table. The hotel does not look like much from the outside: just another tired Hampton Inn. On the inside, however, it is a pleasant surprise: renovated rooms with comfortable beds and nice lazy chairs with side table to put your laptop on. Unlike many hotels, TV'S have fast-responding remote controls. Rooms smell fresh and new. Good location with some standard dining options close by, like Outback or Steak'n Shake. The hotel provides everything what is expected and at good level too.

Hotel and staff very nice. Clean and comfortable. Check in was fast and easy. Beds are clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there. We stayed in the area to attend Ona Speedway big modified race and late model race. Hotel is close to the track. Also, close to lots of restaurants and a Mall. But, beware if you get busy and find your self missing a meal make sure you eat before it's too late because there are no 24Hour food places in the area.
