This is a newer hotel so the facility is one of the nicer ones in Yakima. Upon our arrival we received a very friendly welcome from the evening staff who gave us terrific recommendations for local restaurants. Unfortunately that's all the good I can say for this stay. Room. While the room was comfortable I gave a big markdown for cleanliness because they failed to provide room service; no clean glasses, no clean towels, no restocking of coffee, soap or shampoo. They just forgot to service our r... Read more

My son & I stayed at the Holiday Inn Yakima April 2016 for a basketball tournament. The hotel was busy with lots of teams & kids. Upon check-in I was warmly & promptly greeted. Our room was made up & ready to go, just as we requested with 2 Queen beds. We were given a voucher for a free appetizer in the hotel restaurant. There was also a sheet listing all the venues for the tournament which was a nice touch. The room was spacious, clean & the bed was extremely comfortable with both firm & soft p... Read more

Staying at a Holiday Inn is usually a generic experience. Clean, tidy, efficient, slightly bland but with an extra touch of style to keep them just ahead of the competition. Our room did not have a room safe but otherwise was fine. Liked the free wifi and free parking and would have liked a free breakfast thrown in. We would be happy to stay here again.

We just returned from a weekend in Yakima for a soccer tournament. The Holiday Inn was nice. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. Our daughter had a fun time swimming in the pool and there were plenty of towels available. We stayed on the second floor and there was a laundry room which is very handy if you need to wash clothes. Another nice touch is they had complimentary bottles of water in the beverage fridge on the main floor and snacks/candy bars for purchase. We will defini... Read more

We arrived in mid-May for a short convention. We did our homework and looked at the reviews of the hotels around the Convention Center. We chose the Holiday Inn Yakima because it had the best reviews. Other conventioneers didn't have good comments about the other hotels either! This is one of the new hotels in Yakima. Very clean! Crisp lobby and front desk area. Bar/restaurant seemed to have most kinds of foods and drinks. Staff was always courteous and helpful. My only minor rub was the mattres... Read more

Decided to stay overnight in Yakima after a trip to Mt. Rainier. Booked with IHG points last minute for a group of 10 people. Hotel was very accommodating and there was ! This was last minute so we did not have luggage or toiletries. Kim was a very excellent host/receptionist. We provided us with tooth brushes and toothpaste for everyone in the group. We were allowed to change rooms to be closer to the elevator too. Great service!

Just finished a conference at the Holiday Inn in Yakima and can truly say this hotel is the one bright spot in an otherwise dark town. The facility is well kept and the food and drink is readily available in the lobby. There is a workout facility which is small and a very decent sized pool. If you are up for a jog, there is a decent running trail about a mile to the east of this location. And downtown Yakima is just a few blocks to the west, though after sundown it starts to get a sketchy in thi... Read more

Decided to check out the 'Palm Springs of Washington' and was greeted by super helpful, friendly staff. Kim and David really went out of their way to ensure I had every need met. Loved the chemical free pool and workout area too. The cafe has a wonderful server who will provide you a decent breakfast as well. I definitely will be back to have spa time to retreat and heal here. Rooms are basic and reasonably clean. The dust and wind do kick up some pollen if you have allergies. (Why that pool i... It was a great 2 night stay, the beds were so comfortable in our King Suite. The staff were friendly and very helpful.Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to use the amenities (Pool/hot tub) etc. Hotel is close to everything! The hotel also has a keyed entry elevator and keyed parking lot, always great to feel safe when on holiday!

Found one rate online so we stopped. They would not honor it so we booked it online in the parking lot and went back in. Room was very nice but should have included breakfast like Express does. Would have given 5 had it not been for the pricing issue.

Good, clean place to stay, very comfortable. The clerk wasn't that friendly, which affects my review. The clerk should have been more accommodating to guests if they appreciate repeat travelers. He was much nicer after realizing we were Gold Members, for whatever that's worth at that point. It was near midnight and we were traveling with a baby. It wasn't the welcoming nature we are accustomed to when staying across the country at Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses. Having addressed al... Read more

Nice, comfortable place to stay. Little noisy as we were right near the lifts. Check in clerk didn't know what the deal or price was for breakfast even though we had looked online that it was an extra $10 or 20 for 2 guests for buffet and wanted to confirm. Didn't bother anyway after that and used the mini fridge and bought cereal. Great location in town.

The hotel was very expensive due to soccer tournament in town. The room was modern, clean, nice shower head, many television channels, free wi-fi for IHG Members. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked well (it was 99 degrees outside). Nice little bistro/bar downstairs but limited hours. No free breakfast at this brand name. Fitness center had four cardio machines, no weights, indoor pool was small. The city of Yakima (like many cities) has a homeless problem which definitely is a factor in the qual... Read more

I really want to like this place more than common sense is allowing me to ... the rooms by them selves are fantastic ... the secured parking gives an incredible sense of added security if you're a business traveler like I am when I've stayed here in the past and you're not wanting to completely unload your vehicle for one night ... and with rare exception that staff seems top notch (although it only takes on rotten apple to sour the barrel as the saying goes). So what have been some of the issu... Read more

Spent one night at this hotel on our road trip. We wanted a single stop location to rest and eat. This hotel provided an excellent choice for both. Nice clean room, good service and a good meal in the lounge. We got everything we were looking for. We will stay here again should we come back to town.

I frequently visit Yakima and always stay at the Holiday Inn. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. I usually don't want to leave the hotel for dinner, so I eat in the lounge. Stephanie the bar tender is warm and extremely helpful, however, on my last visit I overheard Stephanie being put down and talked to about her drink making skills NUMEROUS times. After the "couple" left the bar, I asked "Was that your boss, and if so I am so sorry you had to deal with that". Stephanie seemed ... Read more

Enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn in Yakima. The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was of a good size. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were. We have stayed in many hotels of different brands all over the world and I must say these beds impressed, most certainly the most comfortable we have experienced. I caught the wife lifting the bottom sheet to see how it was done :-). We would certainly stay again at this hotel if in Yakima again.

Members of our Car Club were attending the Ponies in the Sun Car Show and we booked well in advanced. We got a group rate and was told they would have a car washing area for us to freshen up our cars after the 200 mile drive. At Check in they had no idea what we were talking about. Maintenance fixed that " Great job Maintenance" We checked in dropped off our bags in the rooms. At first we could not figure how to turn the lights on then we noticed a card key slot by the door. When you book a holiday inn, you know what you are expecting. Decent rooms, comfortable beds and it to be clean. We bought drinks at the bar and found the receptionist helpful. Apart from that we didnt do much else. It was a quick one night stop over.

We spent a night in the Holiday Inn Yakima for the annual Fresh Hop Ale festival and we were happy we did. I had a bit of difficulty booking the place to begin with. I called in because we wanted to make use of their beer festival special. It took quite some time to receive the confirmation email and then there were a few mistakes in the original booking. All good in the end, but that was the only hick-up for my stay. The hotel is located a few blocks from the festival and within walking dis... Read more

We have been looking for a good hotel to stay in Yakima while visiting friends and family. The last time we visited, we ended up staying in Ellensburg. This time we wanted to be closer, but all the hotels seem to be located very close to the freeway, and most reviews complain about road noise. We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn in Yakima, thinking it wasn't that close to the freeway and shouldn't really be noisy. Alas, we didn't hear the freeway, but we heard the train all night. We were staying at Yakima Holiday Inn while visiting friends for a couple of days. Check out process was quick and efficient. They have a gated parking lot behind the hotel and additional spots up front. Rooms are nice and lean, beds were very comfortable. They provide free wi fi and free paper in the morning. One of the reasons why we booked this hotel was because of the indoor pool. When traveling with kids it??s always nice to be able to take them to the pool. We went to use it one nigh... Read more

1:07 AM, the pizza delivery person knocked to deliver; I hadn't ordered pizza, and needed to sleep to prep for my presentation at a conference the following day. The 6:00 AM wake-up call --at least it WAS 6:00-- stated that it was 5:00 AM, and the temp. was 68º. It was 40º. Ordered patties, got links. In room coffee cup wiped, not washed, and a dried drop left on the rim. Nothing a property can do after the fact to make up for interrupting guests' sleep. However, they tried. The bigger problem... Stayed here while attending a convention across the street. The room was OK but nothing really special. It was convenient and the staff was good. We liked the gated parking although it can be a hassle to get into the lot. They had an impressive Seahawks Tail Gate party in the lobby on Friday. It was very inexpensive and there was a huge selection of food - hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, assorted salads, desserts and beverages. The restaurant had what we thought were strange hours. Nine of checked in and for two days got the worst food and service from management. We all left and went to another hotel. You want crappy service go here but you have better options. Server and bartender awesome management sucks. If you have 1 hour to wait for food this is the place even if you just get chicken strips which by the way only takes 10 minutes if that to put in fryer.
