I used to travel to Yakima on business twice a year and there was no nice hotels - so when planning this trip I was dreading finding a hotel but then I saw that there was an HGI - my go to business traveling hotel. This was not your normal HGI - this place feels like an old hotel trying to be something new. It was just strange - but I have to say it's still the best in Yakima. The stuff was very friendly and worked hard to deliver good service.

I stay in Yakima a lot, and I have been in every hotel that SHOULD be nice or great by brand. Hilton Garden in is a good sleep, great adjustable bed. Quiet at the back, great service, great breakfast. Ship the Rick hard beds and noise of the others.

I expected a lot more from a Hilton than I got. Room was small and crowded. There We're no extras. Women in next room was horribly noisy and kept us awake. Food Was average and pricy. Staff were cordial and friendly. Especially in the restaurant. I was unimpressed. For the price I expected more. Will not stay there again.

Look around before you book, not worth the price. Charge you to park. Requests at time of booking are not the same at check in. Very friendly staff though. I do not think I would walk one block over either way at night. Yakima is the arm pit of Washington. Hilton set to set the standard. I have stayed at lesser priced chains, did not pay for parking, free breakfast, and cleaner rooms. $14.00 for a breakfast that's free almost anywhere else is weak.

Beautiful property that was a conversion from a previous mall. They did an excellent job constructing the conversion. A few issues that management needs to address to maintain a high rating. There is a charge for parking which I don't find objectionable because it is in downtown. You just need to be aware of it when pricing the property. They garage was stifling hot on an evening that was not warm. There's some circulation problem there. The garage elevator brings you into the back party of... Read more

We had a nice two-day stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. Centrally located and easy access to the freeway. Staff were very nice and attentive. Rooms were as expected, clean, nicely appointed. Breakfast was great for the whole family. You may want to request a room that does not have a speaker outside the doorway - it didn't wake us up but I was very confused about the persistent music in the morning!

Starting with what is most important to me- the bed. It was okay not as good as the cheaper Fairfield Marriott in the same city. There were meant small gripes that bothered me despite my often staying at 3 star facilities. The room has a musty old odor on entering that I got used to quickly. The carpet was old and depressing (may be the color choice was poor) and stayed that way. The shower pressure for the hot water was low. The accessories were okay (Neutrogena) and towels were okay. We stayed one night on business and the room was clean and usual for a Hilton Garden Inn. We were close to the street side and could hear some street traffic noise. Died down at night. Our door lock broke and I was locked out. Room comped + lunch, great job by the manager and staff who did the right thing. Courteous and professional. Great job Lisa!! Many kudos I would stay again.

I stay here whenever I am in Yakima. I like the location of the hotel, the hotel itself, the staff, and the restaurant/bar located on the premises. The rooms are typical HGI. There are meeting rooms and plenty of underground parking. The restaurant food selection is a bit better than most HGI's so I appreciate that. Other typical amenities are a pool, hot tub, and fitness center. One of the cons is the bedding; Hilton is holding on to their (very flawed) mattress system that allegedly allo... Read more

I stayed here last week while visiting family in Yakima. The hotel is located in downtown Yakima. It's a typical Hilton Garden Inn and provides all the amenities you expect from this brand. The staff is friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is as expected and a good way to get you started in the morning. I was surprised that parking was. It included in the rate but it's only an additional $5 per day. I'd stay here again the next time I'm in Yakima.
