We had an emergency trip to Vancouver, arrived @ 10:30 AM. Needed to check into our room (handicap accessible) when we arrived, if at all possible. Front Desk personnel were so understanding, radioing housekeeping, who offered a 20 min wait if we could switch from a King single to a queen double, still on ground floor, still handicap accessible, same price, bonus:closest room to the pool. My daughter had to leave me there (in a wheelchair) and the staff checked on me numerous times, which was un... Read more

The first room I was given had not been cleaned. Given the the bad smell in both the room and the hall - strong deodorizer over mold and body oder - I suspect cleaning is a common issue. The second room off the lobby was cleaned but very worn. The lady at the front desk was polite and efficient and the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1.

The first room we were given smelled like wet dog the next room we got was dirty we got only 2towels for 4peole for the whole weekend! They wouldn't give us more towels or clean ones for 2days and no coffee, and the maids quit so no room service!!!

One night stay only thank goodness! Hotel close to highway so very noisy. Our room smelled fusty & dirty. The receptionist advised us we had got the last habitable room as their housekeeper had walked out that morning! Too late to find elsewhere. All in all the hotel needed a complete makeover & soundproofing.

This hotel claims free high-speed wifi. We cannot connect because of weak signal. Also the spa hasn't had any water in it since we've been here for 5 days, nor has the steam room been working, there has been yellow caution tape around it. The guest laundry room is on one end of complex upstairs with no elevator. Also located there is the soda machine that only accepts change and credit cards. Also located there, is the only ice machine. The free breakfast is waffles and pastries and if your luck... Read more

Listed on the P-line place as a 2 1/2 star on their express deal section. This place is in a sketchy section of town, no lighting in the parking lot, floors pop when you walk across them, TV is a tube TV (for what that's worth) and, granted, it is clean, but not 2 1/2 stars. Just be aware.

We have stayed at both the La Quinta and Quality Inn in the Salmon Creek area. This trip the Shiloh was the cheapest so decided to try it and glad we did! Based on the ROOM ONLY, the 3 hotels are quite comparable. The Shiloh is newly remodeled with new carpets and furniture and updated bathrooms. The beds are comfortable. The pillows are comfortable. Room included a fridge and nice TV. The room smelled clean. It was a comfortable stay and all of the staff members we interacted with were very ni... Read more

I love their military discount and try to use them when I can. The check-in was fast, friendly, and flawless, and the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast accommodations were what brought my rating down. Too many tables and chairs for the size of the room made for tight quarters for a lot of folks trying to get breakfast.

Ok place. Safe, lots of food and shopping near by. Room smelled as if it has been damp, bathroom was even stronger smelling. Tried to watch tv and it kept turning off. (Was not laying on remote) The price of the room I did feel that the tv should work. Probably will not stay again but would look for a hotel in this area.

This Shilo Inn is neat, clean and well-maintained, so travelers should not be disappointed in these basics. The facility itself is somewhat smaller and less upscale than other Shilo Inns we have seen, but certainly adequate for our needs. (A possible exception: the low roof covering the front entrance prevented us from driving our vehicle into the parking lot - RV'ers beware!). The breakfast is simple but very nice and tasty. Every day we enjoyed good coffee, hard boiled eggs (great for low-... Read more

This Shilo is an outlier compared to others. Pretty run down rooms. Very outdated. $130.00 would go a lot further in more efficient, newer hotels. Bed was fine, but it seems that is the only thing updated here. We only received 2 towels for our daily cleaning. Staff not responding to phone calls. Hot tub out of order. Near nice restaurants is one of the fee few positives. If you have no other choice, then you can overlook most things. Not what I'm used to for a Shilo.

Staff was top notch especially reservation person over the phone, name was Alyssa, I think. Location easy to find and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping if you don't want to drive . The grounds were well kept and the rooms were fresh, clean and comfortable. Very nice. I would make this motel my 1st choice if traveling to the Vancouver or surrounding area again. My only needs to improve comments are, lack of towels, so be sure to ask for more upon checking in. Also though it di... Read more

The Shilo Inn is an older building and from the exterior appearances looked clean and well maintained. The main building has the lobby / registration and the continental breakfast room. There is also a separate building that has more rooms and another building for the indoor pool. There is a small room off the lobby for the continental breakfast. There are 5 or 6 small tables with seating for 15 people. A very basic set up with 1 waffle maker with the usual ?? coffee, tea, juice machine, b... Read more

Our family of 8 stayed here for 2 nights in July. We had 2 rooms on the 2 floor. The positive points: it was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and the rooms were clean, my kids had a great time playing in the pool, there was a fridge and microwave in our room. The negatives: the wifi doesn't work, the hot tub and sauna are out of order, they did not have clean towels to use for the pool, there was quite a bit of mold on one of the shower curtains. We told the receptionist about the mold and s... Read more

To begin with, room was extremely dated and run-down. Our room stunk so bad we had to go to the store and buy air fresheners to place in all corners of the room. There were blood stains on the pillow. Because we had checked-in late in the evening, I asked the front desk clerk for a new one. She stated she could not help me out because housekeeping was closed. We did not have enough towels for the room. The hotel advertised free wi-fi, but you could never connect to it. The continental breakfast ... Read more

This hotel is pretty basic. It doesn't appear to have been updated in quite a while. We checked at 4:00 pm, check in time for them, and the rooms were not ready. Housekeeping had to go up and clean it. The reception person was nice. She accommodated us with adjoining rooms, which helped a lot. The rooms are nothing fancy but then we didn't spend much time in them. It was quite even though close to the freeway. Ample parking but the front desk did not mention the hot tub was not working and the po... Read more

It was okay. My friend who checked us in said she was not impressed with the hotel staff at all. We had four people in our room and they only had two towels in the room. We called to get more towels and they said they were out but they could probably find some. They came up with two more towels. The girls hit the pool the next day and they were out of towels again. It was clean enough. Taco Bell was right next door. Our freezer on the fridge was froze up and had a pop from the previous people. W... Read more

Some fussy reviewers on here; or we lucked out big time. Had a great time at this hotel. Stayed in Building C, same as the pool and it was awesome. 2 queen bed room was huge, separate sink from the shower & toilet, had a fridge and microwave (didn't use the microwave but the fridge worked a treat), TV was great, separate table & trees was very handy. The location was great, also close to lots of shops and restaurants. The pool was great in July 2016, clean, not crowded, there were plenty of... Read more

A little tired and worn but more importantly there are signs everywhere admonishing guests on what they should do and what the hotel expects. It felt like we were being scolded. Some poor lady had a bunch of rooms charged to her card mistakenly - we overheard the exchange - and the front desk was pretty marginal and not very apologetic. Our room was missing a few things and we had to call and have them brought up. And hey Shilo, fix the typo on the sign in your spa area. We would not come ... Read more

Room was dirty...hair in tub, shower wall and vanity. Not one hair .. several!! No anti-slip mat in the tub despite a well worn anti-slip tub surface. We had a kitchenette unit but that was in name only. A couple dinner knives, a fork and no spoons. No bowls of any sort and no kettle. Window was covered in hand prints and nose prints. Window tracks covered mould. Sugar ants in the kitchen. One sugar in the sugar bowl. 2 skimpy bath towels. Day 2, housekeeping staff took a sabbatical. Bed was mad... Read more

Way over priced for what you get. Watch out for 100.00 deposit for your room at check in, they say it's just a authorization but it's not. Only 2 towels in room and heard numerous people calling front desk asking for more. Our bathroom floor was covered in hair and my parents room had 8 hairs in the tub. Disgusting windows all up and down the hall. Don't bother with breakfast area, it's a closet that is 100 degrees filled with junk. Both coffee pots were empty and hot water was so not hot. Daily... This is NOT a good place to stay, especially for the price. 1 bath towel in the room when we checked in. When I called the desk the response was "Are you sure? Sometimes they fold the towels up really small." No pool towels but the pool and hot tub were too nasty to get in anyway. The TV reception was snowy and too poor to watch. Breakfast was minimal. The floors were dirty, housekeeping was minimal. Please be warned and do not stay here!

My daughter picked the and paid for the Shilo Inn on line. It turned out to be a bad mistake. We had a late check in required by the Motel. When we found there was not enough towels there was no house keeping available to get more. We stayed four days because a non refundable policy. the room was never cleaned, beds never made, always short of towels even though it was reported every day. The motel would not comp or make up the situation. My advice don't stay here if you have a choice.

We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and I took her husband and her daughter on birthday weekend. We booked their presidential suite months in advanced and they gave it too someone else as we were driving down to the hotel. The Presidential suite has two bedrooms and that was why we picked that hotel. So we get there around 4:30 to find our room was given away and they said they were full. They tried calling other Shilo locations to see if they had anything for us but they didn't. They the... Read more

I booked Shilo Inn Salmon Creek because of an excellent Military/Veteran rate ($74), through the Shilo Inn website. My wife and I stayed two nights in a room with two queen beds. This was the third Shilo Inn hotel we had stayed at over three consecutive nights, the others being in Newport and Salem, Oregon. Sadly, this particular hotel did not hold up to the same standards as the first two. Beginning with check-in, the desk clerk was very friendly but started the check-in routine by criticizing ...
