My wife and I stayed 2 nights recently while visiting old friends. This is a converted property and not built as a Doubletree but the property was as advertised. Room was large, appreciated separate sitting area and TV. Staff friendly. Location for us was perfect.

When we checked in, there was a stack of dirty mattresses piled up in the lobby right next to the front desk. This worried me and I feared there maybe bed bugs. When I asked about them, I was told to ignore them and move along. Later, I requested extra towels and was told they would be delivered to my room shortly...they never arrived. The rooms were clean but the service was not so great.

Good: > The location is easy to find and fairly quiet. Traffic noise is not an issue. > There are restaurants that are withing walking distance - and an Applebees too. > Parking was free. The Bad > With Junk fees I paid $199 for a hotel that I'd expect to pay ~ $129. The Ugly > I got stuck in an ADA room, I'm assuming they must have been close to sold out. If you don't need an ADA room the layout is very funky. Avoid the ADA room if you don't need/want one - the are 3 feet from the eleva... Read more

Let's start with the good points about this hotel. There's free parking and it is located in a quiet area with convenient access to the highway. It has a nice indoor heated pool & a jacuzzi. Plus a fairly well equipped gym. It's a 3 story hotel and is the "lowest-rise" Doubletree I have ever stayed in. The Doubletree just across the Oregon border is a more typical Doubletree hotel. We will likely try that the next time we come this area. Checking in was ok. Derik was very helpful. The booking... Read more

This is a standard Doubletree, on the small side. Very nice staff and the rooms are clean. If you need to be in Vancouver, this is an excellent choice. The only caveat is the food: it is truly awful. The chicken wings were cold and tasteless, breakfast hot foods were also cold and tasteless. There are lots of strip mall restaurants a short drive away.

A decent quality hotel with professional staff. The bed was on the uncomfortable side. The complimentary WiFi access was incredibly slow and frequently drops the connection, which is common for the Hilton brand. I didn't try the paid premium WiFi at this hotel, but past experience at other Hilton properties has shown that it doesn't get better. It is in the shopping area with all the major big box retailers and franchise restaurants nearby.

Our family of 5 stopped here on our way to Canada. We are Hilton Honors members and this was a great value, hotel was clean and breakfast was good. There is a Sweet Tomatoes across the parking lot, which was great for our family.

The Good: The room was comfortable, and a generous size. Check-in and check-out were handled courteously and efficiently. Parking was easy, even with our pickup truck. There was a fire in the fireplace when we arrived, which was a nice touch since it had been pouring rain for a while. The Bad: We could hear every single little noise through the door, and through the closet (which was only covered by a curtain). If we were to stay here again I would specifically request a room at the far end of ... Read more

The bed and bedding are really comfy, the service quite good! The rooms are well-appointed, Very clean and I have only the smallest complaint. Not included is the breakfast, which is common for double trees, but if you do have the hotel breakfast (standard fare, waffles, powdered eggs, bagels, etc) they charge $10 for it. If you don't mind powdered eggs it's probably fine. I will stay here again and again, the location is perfect, close to I205, restaurants, grocery, etc.

This DoubleTree is great! I've stayed twice (once on points, once paying) and both times have been excellent. Good room sizes and attentive staff. There is also free parking and as many cookies as you want!

This is the only Double Tree that I have stayed at in the last 20 years that charged for breakfast. In fact this location was charging $10 for the same quality, self-serve breakfast that you is included in most competitors. Even the hotel itself was sub-par for a Double-Tree....more like a Best Western. Probably will stay at another Hilton because of all the points I have...but will not be a Double Tree.

Perfect hotel to stay at if you are visiting Portland. Just over the bridge at a much lower price then you'd find in Portland. I've travel for business frequently and this was by far the nicest and most outgoing staff I've ever seen. Everyone from front desk, to bartender (yes they have a very nice little bar area!), to staff who went in the back to get my kids some milk for those delicious warms cookies they give you at check in. Room was spacious and clean and breakfast was wonderful.

We are Hilton HHonors members and have always stayed at a Hilton affiliated facility when we travel by car. As expected some are better than others. We were driving back from the Oregon coast to Seattle and decided to get back to the Washington side for the night so that we can get home before traffics time. We stop at the Double Tree Inn at Vancouver. We were impressed how new it looked outside. When we got to our room, we found that the fixtures were all like new. The room was large and c... Read more

This hotel is a good alternative if you want to stay out of Portland due to the higher hotel prices. When you have a car, the location is good for driving your car to Portland. The hotel is not to big and is having a modern look and feel. The staff was nice and took some tome foor you. Parking is free. The room it self is good and the beds are nice. The bar in the hotel is not the place to hangout, due to lack of guests. You better pick a drink in one of the neighboring restaurants.

The staff was pleasant and the room was very nice; much nicer than I expected. I think this must be a newer hotel. I just got a King room but it had a seperate desk space larger than my own office, a sitting room and the bedroom was seperated by a partial wall. I was pleasantly surprised and will book Double Tree for future business trips.

Despite an early check in, I got the last room in the place as all the other rooms were taken online. My room was a disabled guest room. Great the hotel has this room, but not so great as a consumer. The air-conditioning unit was old and noisy. The whole place seemed dated. The staff was courteous but not friendly. The location may be close to the Portland airport on the other side of the border, but it took 40 minutes to go 6 blocks. The worst morning traffic in the area

The rooms were fine and my king room and good work space But the breakfast buffet left much to be desired when at 8am it was out of food and they were waiting for the supply truck. It was OK overall but not of he caliber I expect from a double tree.

We arrived before check in, they allowed us to check in early...check in was easy and fast, counter person was very friendly. Room was large, clean and very nice. We stayed 2 nights and the maid service was good. Bar is small and seemed empty every time we went by however had to ask the bartender for silverware for food we brought inand he produced it with no questions asked with a smile on his face. We will stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 days and enjoyed it. We like the fact that the bed was separated from the window with a short wall, thus away from the AC and provide additional privacy. The condition of the room was good and consistent with the DoubleTree quality. They gave us cookies when we checked in and the cookies were delicious. We actually asked for more of them the next day! I would stay here again if I come to the area.

The breakfast was good a little slow bringing food out but i think they were not expecting that many people for a monday morning but it was labor day 2016. They could use better signs on the main road Mill-Plain rd we passed by and had to turn around and come back to it. restaurants are across the parking lot from hotel walking distance.

When I had to do some short-notice business in downtown Portland, OR I had a hard time getting a convenient hotel brand-name hotel at less than $300/nite. This Vancouver DoubleTree was not only within U.S. Gov't per diem, but only a couple miles from a C-Tran transit center where I could catch a $3.85 bus ride to downtown Portland! And, a Hilton family property to boot! Could even walk to several restaurants from the hotel. Awesome place to stay.

A recent stay at Doubletree in Vancouver was a confusing deja vue experience : I knew the location, but not the hotel! It turns out it is a recently remodeled addition to the Doubletree family! This was a block-of-rooms deal with a workshop. It was more than I would normally spend for a couple of nights being away all day at a conference but it was relaxing to return to this big room with a desk and extreme quality bed.
